5. NUG has already provided 238.7 million kyats of assistance to the people in the areas affected by Cyclone “Mocha”
The Ministry of Humanitarian Affairs and Disaster Management announced on June 3 that the NUG has provided 238.7 million kyats of aid to the people in areas affected by Cyclone Mocha (MOCHA).
“The Ministry of Humanitarian Affairs and Disaster Management has already provided 238.7 million kyats for emergency relief and rehabilitation activities, including the provision of emergency food, shelter, and Cyclone Emergency Preparedness Kits for the people in areas affected by Cyclone “Mocha” (MOCHA) from the time before the storm until 2.6.2023.”
In addition, the Ministry is continuing to implement emergency shelter support activities for 16,381 houses damaged by the storm in Rakhine State and 2,917 houses damaged in Chin State.

It stated that from May 5, 2021, to May 31, 2023, during the two-year period of the People’s Resistance War, the Special Operations Force (S.O.F.), Special Task Force (S.T.F.), People’s Defense Force (PaKaFa), Urban Guerrilla Forces, and other revolutionary forces conducted more than 2,000 urban operations in the Yangon Regional Military Sub-Division.
In these operations, there were more than 600 deaths including colonel ranks from the side of the enemy, the terrorist military council, and more than 900 injured.
It is said that more than 80 comrades were fallen from the accidents during operations or due to torture by the military council, 100 were injured and more than 1,000 were arrested and detained by the military council.
The operations conducted included more than 1,000 military targets, more than 800 administrative targets, and more than 200 economic targets. These targets were attacked with 50 special operations, more than 500 fire attacks, and more than 1,500 explosive attacks.
It is also stated that as the Yangon Regional Military Sub-Division, the 5101-Battalion, the first battalion of the People’s Defense Army, has been formed, and urban guerrilla operations and jungle rural operations will be conducted in a tactically balanced manner.

“On May 31, Sa Thein Aung, a member of the military council from the IB-269 based in Tedim, came to PDF-Zoland and took refuge with some weapons and ammunition. Now PDF-Zoland is keeping Sa Thein Aung in a safe zone,” it stated.
On May 31, a member of the military council from the IB-269 based in Tedim, Chin State, defected to PDF-Zoland with an MA-1, 4 magazines, and more than 260 rounds of ammunition.
He was reportedly sent to a safe zone and was rewarded with 5 million kyats.

It is reported that at least three junta soldiers were killed in a drone attack on a military camp stationed at Letpanpin Cemetery in Kyaikto Township, Mon State.
KRF confirmed that the camp was attacked by a drone at 1:35 p.m. on June 3.
“Revolutionary allied forces, including the KRF, conducted a drone attack with two 6mm bombs on the military council soldiers stationed at Letpanpin Cemetery in Kyaikto Township as a military target, destroying the camp and killing at least three junta soldiers,” it stated.
The revolutionary forces retreated without harm during the operation.
