1. Junta Troops Flee from Ngayont Ni Camp at the Thai–Myanmar Border

On June 12, junta troops from Ngayont Ni Camp, located on the Thai–Myanmar border in Dawei District, reportedly abandoned their camp and fled, according to Military Region (4) administrative sources.

The camp had only about 20 junta troops. Prior to their escape, there had been aerial patrol activity. It’s reported that the soldiers crossed into the Thai side.

The Karen National Defence Organisation (KNDO) had approached the camp and seized some heavy artillery shells during a clearance operation.

Ngayont Ni is a small camp on the border, with only one other such camp remaining in the area.


2. Drone Attacks on Mon State Government Offices and Ministers’ Residences

June 13

Saw Dragon Drone Force (SDDF) announced that drone strikes were launched on the Mon State Government office and ministers’ residences in Mawlamyine on June 12.

The Chief Minister’s residence was reportedly hit, injuring two individuals.

The attack was jointly carried out by SDDF, Shatuwaw Technology Unit (Alpha Bats Drone Force), Sky Warrior Drone Force, and local Mon People’s Defence Forces (PDF).


3. Copper Convoy from Division 33 Attacked with Mines

June 13

A convoy from Division 33 consisting of 19 copper trucks, 8 armor-plated vehicles, and 3 covered trucks was attacked near the Monywa–Mandalay highway, according to the Brave Heart Army.

On June 12, the convoy was ambushed with five directional mines near the Ma Oo junta gate and then fired upon with small arms.

Two copper trucks and one armored vehicle were reportedly immobilized. Two junta soldiers were killed, including a high-ranking officer.

After the attack, wounded junta soldiers were transported to Shwe Taw Win Hospital using a hearse, a civilian car, and an armored vehicle, according to local sources.

The operation was carried out jointly by Brave Heart Army, Golden Target Force, and Chindwin Fighter Group.


4. Two Returning Boats from Tharyetchaung Attacked

June 13

Two boats returning from transporting frontline junta troops from Dawei to Tharyetchaung were attacked on the Dawei River by Dawei Youth Armed Force (DYAF).

On June 10, at around 12 p.m., two junta boats carrying about 80 troops were attacked twice with sniper fire and small arms.

Two junta soldiers were killed, and three were wounded.

The joint operation was conducted by DYAF and KNLA Battalion 12, Company 1.


5. CDF-Asho Captures Junta Troops from Nat Yae Kan Strategic Hill Base

June 13

The Chin Defence Force–Asho (CDF–Asho) announced it had captured junta soldiers from the Nat Yae Kan Air Defense Base (Strategic Hill) between June 8 and 12 during a clearing mission near the base.

23 junta troops were captured while crossing the old Nat Yae Kan road, about 1,500 meters from the base.

Weapons seized included five MA-1 rifles, three MA-3 rifles, and assorted ammunition.

CDF–Asho stated the captured soldiers were forcibly conscripted under the junta’s military conscription law.


6. Heavy Artillery Strike Near Funeral House in Kawkareik Kills 6 Including 2 Children

June 13

In Kawkareik Township, Karen State, six people, including two children, were killed when a junta-fired heavy artillery shell exploded near a funeral home.

On June 12 at around 6 p.m., the shell, fired by junta troops from LIB 545 and stationed at the Gyaing Bridge, landed near a funeral home in Kaw Baw village.

The deceased include:

  • Ma Ei Ndra Moe (5 years old)
  • Maung Win Win Kyaw (10 years old)
  • Daw Tu Tu (37)
  • U Sein Thaung Lay (41)
  • U Lin Kone (45)

Earlier, at around 4:25 p.m., another explosion in Myauk Kamaryet village reportedly killed 59-year-old U Myint Aung, according to the Mon Liberation Army.


7. A Police Sergeant Defects with Weapons to Join the Civilian Resistance in Myaung Township

June 13

A police sergeant from Kyauk Yit police station in Myauk Township, Sagaing Region, defected with arms and ammunition to the people’s side, according to Battalion 30 (ADPRA) of Yinmarbin District.

On June 12, Sergeant Kyaw Min Han defected to ADPRA’s Battalion 30, Company 2, bringing his wife and child with him.

He brought an MA-13 rifle (BA-94), thirty 9mm bullets, and magazines. The NUG’s Ministry of Defence has been informed to grant an appropriate reward.

The CDM (Civil Disobedience Movement) couple has been relocated to a secure location and will receive further assistance as needed.
