Virtual meeting between the Acting President of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar and the Former President of Mongolia

The Acting President of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar Duwa Lashi La warmly welcomed the Former President of Mongolia at the virtual meeting.

On 13 July, it was a statement that the Acting President met with the Former President of Mongolia.

President Elbegdorj is a long-time friend of Myanmar people and a strong supporter of democratization in Myanmar. After leaving office in Mongolia, he is actively working together with former heads of states in organizations such as Club de Madrid, the International Democrat Union, etc., to promise democracy and human rights around the world.

At the meeting, Acting President Duwa Lashi La briefed the current state of events in Myanmar, and reaffirmed of the Myanmar people’s dedication to establish a peaceful federal democratic union.

The Acting President also extended his heartfelt gratitude to President Elbegdorj for his support for the freedom and democratic aspirations of the people of Myanmar.

President Elbegdorj also strong assured the Acting President of Myanmar of his commitment and sustained supports for the people of Myanmar and NUG in their struggle for freedom and democracy.

Home Affairs Minister says that budgets will be allocated to the necessary areas governed by the National Unity Government

On 13 July, in a briefing on the District People’s Administrative Handbook, Union Minister for Home Affairs and Immigration U Lwin Ko Latt said, “The National Unity Government is implementing administration functions in the governed areas based on the People’s Resistance War, and planning to allocate the necessary budgets in these governed areas. The relevant ministries are also working with the respective township administrative bodies to provide education, health care, and humanitarian assistance services as much as possible. It is important to establish the district people administration bodies to strengthen the connection between the ministries and the township people administration bodies and to speed up the work starting from the office work in a more orderly manner.”

After that, the Permanent Secretary gave a briefing on the ‘District People’s Administrative Handbook’.

The township people administrative officials who attended the briefing continued to discuss unclear points, points to know, reviews, and suggestions.

Along with the Union Minister, officials from the ministry, officials from the township public administration bodies in Sagaing Division, and Magway Division attended the briefing.

In an interview with RFA on 11 July, Union Minister for Planning, Finance and Investment — U Tin Tun Naing said, “As of the first week of July, our ministry was able to raise a total of 47 million US dollars with the input and participation of the public. It has also been announced at the press conference of the National Unity Government that 85 percent of that amount was spent on defense expenses, so about 44 million US dollars has been spent on defense.”

In the spring revolution, the NUG is not the only revolutionary force, but the ethnic alliance organizations are also revolting

In an interview with RFA in July, Union Minister for Planning, Finance and Investment U Tin Tun Naing said, “In this revolution, the revolutionary forces are not just NUG, our ethnic fraternal allied organizations are also participating in this revolution, and there are also revolutionary forces fighting on the ground independently of the NUG government.”

On 7 September 2021, the NUG announced the start of the resistive war against the military junta.

At present, there are over 257 battalions of the People’s Defense Force under the Ministry of Defence of the National Unity Government.

Ministry of Education is investigating the incident at Kaung For You School

On 14 July, Deputy Minister of Education Ja Htoi Pan announced on social media, “During the Ministry of Education’s investigation into the incident at Kaung4u school, yesterday, with the news of the arrest of Teacher Kaung Thike Soe (Founder of Kaung4u school), some teachers were also arrested. Kaung4u had a deficiency in management and the school administration also admitted it. Taking advantage of this incident and arresting the teachers is a violation of the right to freedom of education and is inhumane. At this time, everyone must be aware of security. Ministry of Education is also preparing to issue a notification to the public about the incident.”

On July 13th, a teacher from Kaung For You School in Kalaw City, Shan State, was arrested at her house with the exact address information while she was teaching. In July, after the leak of students’ personal information from the school, there has been a rise in blackmail.

Recently, teachers from the Kaung For You school are continuously being arrested by the military council.

Kaung For You school is an online-based education, and at the time when the school started enrollment, about 100,000 students applied within an hour.

Military junta forces set fire to Kampok village in Ye-U Township

On 14 July, local sources said, “In the evening of the previous day, the military column stationed in Ye-U region, left the Tumoung villages and entered Kampok village. They fired heavy weapons at Kampok village, and made a bunker for themselves. The latest news is that they have set fire to Kampok village this morning and are approaching the cow farm from the side of the 100-acre farm.”

The military forces are advancing in the Ye-U area, and innocent villagers are also being arrested.

More than 400 people fleeing the war from three villages in Laung She region are in need of rain cover, blankets, mosquito nets, food, and clothing

On 12 July, the Laung She Regional People’s Defence Force said, “Laung She Regional People’s Defence Force (LSRPDF) is working hard to provide the necessary protection and care to more than 400 internally displaced people (IDPs) who have fled the war from the villages of Sitekhin, Aigyi, and Falama. People fleeing war are in need of healthy accommodation, shelter, blankets, mosquito nets, food, clothing, personal items, and medicine.”

At the present, LSRPDF is trying to find and support as much as possible, so the public is also encouraged to connect with LSRPDF and contribute as much as possible to the people fleeing the war.

AlalSate village, Indaw Township, was invaded and destroyed by the military junta troops, and the villagers have to flee away

On 13 July, Indaw Revolution (IR) released a report that the military troops invaded and destroyed AlalSate village in Indaw Township.

The report said, “Yesterday, the military troops left Meza village and entered AlalSate village, destroying houses one after another. It is reported that three motorcycles were burned down and one was destroyed. AlalSate village has approximately 200 housing, 100 of those are destroyed and nearly 1,000 residents of the village have fled.”

It is reported that the military troops, after invading the village, returned to Meza village in the evening.

It is also said that civilians have been arrested in the Nat Ma Hote Gyi monastery.
