1. Mandalay Resistance Forces Hold Coordination Meeting to Discuss Political and Revolutionary Developments

On June 2, 2025, Mandalay-based revolutionary forces held a coordination meeting via Zoom. During the meeting, representatives shared and discussed recent political updates and the progress of the revolution.

The session began with a presentation on the drafting process of an interim political framework specific to the Mandalay region.
Following that, the Mandalay Parliament (CRMH) gave a presentation, along with the Emergency Management Committee – Mandalay (EMC-MDY), which shared updates on humanitarian and emergency response operations. Educational issues were also discussed.

Participants exchanged updates on current political and military developments and collectively emphasized the importance of broader unity, stronger alliances, and more strategic collaboration to strengthen the revolution moving forward.

2. Military Council Troops and Pyu Saw Htee Militias Execute Two Civilians and Abduct 16 in Kan Gyi Village, Kanbalu Township

June 3, 2025

On the morning of May 31, 2025, around 9:30 AM, approximately 100 troops from the Military Council and Pyu Saw Htee militia left their base in Kanbalu Township and entered Kan Gyi village.

There, they shot and killed two innocent civiliansKo Thein Htwe (age 40) and Maung Zeya Htun (age 20) — according to local resistance sources in Kanbalu District.
The troops then abducted 16 villagers, including minors as young as 7, 8, and 12 years old.

Since May 18, two military columns from Kyo Taung Bo and Kyat Thin bases have caused over 10,000 civilians to flee their homes, becoming war refugees. These troops have also looted villagers’ ox carts, cattle, and other valuables.

As of now, the 16 abducted civilians have not been released.

3. KNU/KNLA and PDF Forces Attack Military Base at Thet Baw Boe Hill with Drones and Heavy Weapons; Over 500 Villagers Displaced

On the morning of June 2, 2025, joint forces from KNU/KNLA and People’s Defense Forces (PDFs) launched attacks using heavy artillery and drones on the military outpost at Thet Baw Boe Hill, where junta units AMAT-443 and KAMAR-32 are stationed.

According to the Strategy and Research Department of local defense forces, the fighting has intensified and caused fear among nearby residents. As a result, over 507 civilians from surrounding villages have fled to the Thai border:

  • Wa Lel – 326 people
  • Thet Baw Boe – 125 people
  • Son Syi Myine – 65 people

4. VENOM Soldiers Equipped with Bulletproof Vests, Helmets, and Tactical Gear Worth Over 500,000 Baht

Cobra Column 2 announced that VENOM frontline soldiers were equipped with new bulletproof vests, helmets, and tactical gear valued at over 500,000 baht.

According to the group’s statement, the supplies were provided through the unit commander’s mentor and were distributed to frontline soldiers who had just completed training. This support aims to boost morale and enhance protection in active conflict zones.

5. PNLA Accuses PNO and Military Council of Firing Artillery Despite Ceasefire Declaration

Despite the junta’s official declaration of a one-month ceasefire (June 1–30), its allied forces, particularly the PNO People’s Militia, have continued military operations.

According to the PNLA, on June 1, the PNO fired heavy artillery into Naung Htaw area, Hsipaw Township, and on June 2, they launched over 10 rounds of shelling toward PNLO’s headquarters in Kadu Gyi, Mongmai Township, without any active conflict taking place.

The PNLA criticized the junta and its affiliates for failing to abide by their own ceasefire terms and carrying out unprovoked, aggressive actions.
