1. Over 200 Dead from More Than 200 Airstrikes by the Terrorist Military Council, Says National Unity Government
The National Unity Government (NUG) has announced that over 200 people were killed in more than 200 airstrikes conducted by the terrorist military council. Between the earthquake on March 28 and April 25, there were 225 aerial attacks, resulting in 242 deaths.
Among the attacks:
- Sagaing Region: 52 attacks, 80 deaths
- Mandalay: 48 attacks, 57 deaths
- Kachin State: 12 attacks, 41 deaths
Despite the declaration of a temporary ceasefire by the NUG and ethnic resistance forces following the March 28 earthquake in Sagaing, the junta continued its assaults using paramotors, jet fighters, military helicopters, and targeted numerous civilian areas.


2. Two Airstrikes Carried Out in Northern Sagaing Township
Two airstrikes were carried out in a northern area of Sagaing Township using one J-Frighter jet from Tada-U and another from Meiktila. These attacks occurred at 9:34 AM and 9:48 AM, according to Wetlet Informational Network.
Data from the Assistance Association for Political Prisoners (AAPP) shows that from April 1 to 23, 2025, airstrikes by the military killed 55 people nationwide — 32 women and 23 men, including 17 children under the age of 18. Sagaing Region had the highest number of deaths at 21.
3. Over 20 Junta Troops Killed in Southern Kale Clashes
During a major operation by CDF KKG, junta forces attempted to recapture the previously lost Kyansar Camp in southern Kale on April 27 at 5:00 AM, launching an assault with two military columns.
During the fighting:
- Resistance forces seized 8 weapons and ammunition
- 7 junta bodies were recovered
- Over 20 junta soldiers were reportedly killed
Some wounded junta soldiers were retrieved by their side, but some were allegedly executed by their own forces.
The military used jets, Y-12 planes, MI-35 helicopters, and drones to bomb villages including Nat Chaung, Nat Myoung, Aung Chan Thar, Than Pho, and Ngapha, killing 4 civilians.
The clash involved forces from CNA, CDF KKG, CDF-Vakok, MCR, and Military Region No. 1, who reportedly managed to respond without major losses.
4. Total of 6,574 Pro-Democracy Activists and Civilians Killed Since the Spring Revolution
According to the AAPP, a total of 6,574 pro-democracy activists and civilians have died due to the actions of the terrorist military and its affiliates during the Spring Revolution, which began after the coup on February 1, 2021, up to April 28, 2025.
Additionally:
- A total of 29,083 people have been arrested in connection with the coup
- 22,180 are still detained
- Among them, 10,770 have received prison sentences
