1. Over Five Military Outposts Seized by Joint KIA Forces from SAC’s LIB 21

Heavy clashes are ongoing between resistance forces and SAC troops stationed in Banmaw, particularly around their military camps and positions, according to the Banmaw Scout Team.

On the morning of April 26, joint forces led by the Kachin Independence Army (KIA) reportedly seized over five outposts from Light Infantry Battalion 21. Some SAC positions inside Banmaw town were also captured.

As the junta responds with airstrikes, artillery, and drones, intense fighting is being reported on both sides.

Damage to civilian homes and casualties have occurred in the areas near the fighting, though details remain unconfirmed due to the chaos.


2. 15 Wounded, Including 3 Officers, in Rocket Attack on Factory

Brave Warrior Myanmar (BWM) reports that a joint resistance force fired ten 107mm rockets at the SAC’s No. 13 Defense Industries factory in Sin Paung Wae, Magway Region on April 25.

Three rockets landed inside the Primer Workshop, causing explosions, and a fire broke out at a chemical storage site.

A 5,000-gallon fire oil storage tank was destroyed. Fifteen people, including three officers, were seriously injured—five soldiers later died. The rest were evacuated to Military Hospital 16/100 in Magway for treatment.


3. Joint Rocket Attack on SAC’s LIB 588 in Mon State

On April 24 at around 1:30 PM, joint resistance groups launched five 107mm rockets at SAC’s LIB 588 base near Mot Kanin Village in Ye Township, Mon State.

Three rockets hit their targets directly.

Casualties on the junta side are still under investigation, but no injuries were reported among the attackers, who successfully retreated. The operation was jointly carried out by MSRF, NMSP-AD, and Daung Taman PDF units.


4. 8 Dead in Attack on Military Checkpoint Near Salin Town

In the early hours of April 26, joint forces from PDFs and PaKaHpa attacked a SAC checkpoint west of Salin town, near Wethti Kan.

The battle lasted around 20 minutes. Fighters from Minbu District PDF Battalion 5 and the Yenantha Column of Magway’s PaKaHpa used RPGs to engage from a 30-meter range.

Junta troops fired 60mm shells from a nearby hill, forcing resistance fighters to retreat. Eight junta personnel, including Pyusawhti militia, were reported killed.


5. Four Civilians Killed in Bombing of Htein Pan Village

On April 25, SAC forces dropped three 500-pound bombs on Htein Pan Village in Myingyan Township, Mandalay Region, using a fighter jet.

Four civilians from a single family were killed. A school and eight homes were destroyed.

Surrounding areas and resistance camps also came under small arms and artillery fire, but no resistance casualties were reported.


6. Child Killed by UXO Explosion in Kyaukme

An unexploded ordnance (UXO) went off in Pan San Village, Kyaukme Township, northern Shan State, on April 24 at around 5 PM.

An 8-year-old boy, Maung Zaw Min, was killed, and four other children, aged 4 to 11, were injured—one seriously enough to require prosthetic surgery.

The area was previously contested by TNLA and RCSS forces, and remains littered with unexploded bombs and landmines.


7. 20 Killed in KNU Territory During Ceasefire Period

Despite a declared ceasefire, SAC forces carried out at least 107 violations in KNU-controlled areas between April 2 and April 22, according to the KNU.

These included 63 airstrikes using jets, helicopters, and drones, killing 15 people (1 KNLA fighter and 14 civilians), and injuring 37, including 3 monks.

There were also 43 artillery strikes, killing 5 and injuring 18 civilians, and damaging 16 homes. In a separate incident, 4 homes and 1 monastery were burned down, and 2 civilians were arrested without cause. Two others were injured by junta landmines.


8. Third Batch of Anti-Terror Special Forces Training Completed

The National Unity Government’s Ministry of Home Affairs announced the completion of the third training batch for the Special Security and Counter-Terrorism Forces (SSTF), under the People’s Police Force.

The training, held in a liberated area, lasted four months and concluded on March 31.

Graduates included personnel from various regions including Mogok, Naungcho, Pyin Oo Lwin, and Amarapura. They were trained in urban warfare and special operations.

Recruitment for the fourth batch is currently ongoing.


9. Junta Soldier Defects with Weapons in Ye Pyu Township

A 22-year-old corporal from SAC’s LIB 273 in Kanbauk, YePyu Township, defected to the resistance on April 21.

He brought with him an MA-1 rifle, 150 rounds of ammunition, and four magazines, according to PDF Battalion 2 in Myeik District.
