The National Unity Government (NUG) announced on April 5 that 68 people, including children and women, lost their lives due to airstrikes and heavy weapon attacks by the military during the time when civilians were already affected by the powerful earthquake. The military launched a total of 63 attacks within a week after the earthquake on March 28, resulting in the deaths of 68 civilians. Among the casualties were a child and 15 women.

The attacks took place in regions that had been severely impacted by the earthquake, including 13 strikes in the Sagaing Region and 8 in the Mandalay Region.
