1. (7th Round) Funds Used for Purchase:
According to Tamoo PDF Brigade 4, funds from the 7th round of the lottery sale were used to purchase 700 bullets worth 70 million Kyats. This announcement was made on the evening of August 6. The PDF expressed gratitude and pride for the public’s efforts and announced plans to use the funds from the 8th round of the lottery sale to buy equipment for frontline soldiers.
2. Basic Military Training Graduation in Kawthoung District:
Kawthoung District People’s Defense Force (Kawthoung District PDF) held its weekly basic military training graduation on August 5, 2024, in a controlled area of the Karen National Union (KNU). Attendees included officials from KNU/KNLA, PDF officials from the Pegu District, and other allied forces. In the 5th round of the basic military training, 33 trainees (29 males, 3 females, 1 LGBTQ) graduated successfully. Awards were given for exceptional performance, including 3 awards for marksmanship, 1 for bravery, 6 for medical skills, and all trainees received honor certificates with watches and caps. The training, which began on May 5, 2024, covered various military skills, weapon handling, communication techniques, first aid, political education, military ethics, and more.
3. Basic Military Training Ceremonies by MLA and BPLA:
The Monland Liberation Army (MLA) held a basic military training graduation ceremony on August 6 in a KNU-controlled area of the Dooplaya District. Attendees included General Tar San Gyi (PSLF/TNLA External Relations Officer), Colonel Man Nyunt Maung (Commander KNDO Battalion 6), and others. The Burma People’s Liberation Army (BPLA) also conducted its 7th round of basic military training graduation on August 5 in the 107th military region, with the training provided by their training battalion.
4. Bombing of Alpha Mine Factory and Villages in Mataya Township:
The Alpha mine factory and surrounding villages in Mataya Township, Mandalay Region, were bombed by the military. According to Wetlet Informational Network, on August 6, around 12:51 PM, a Mi-35 helicopter from the regime bombed the Alpha mine factory and nearby villages. Additionally, around 2:51 PM, a Y-12 aircraft from the regime dropped 83 bombs on the western riverbank and surrounding villages.
5. Attack on Military Vehicles Resulting in Casualties:
In the Pakokku District, a mine attack targeted two military vehicles carrying about 70 regime soldiers from the Pakokku-based Battalion 101. This attack resulted in the deaths of about 11 soldiers and injuries to around 22. The attack occurred near Kantaw village, and various weapons and explosives were seized afterward. This operation was a combined effort by the Myingyan PDF, Black Cobra, and PKU Thurain groups.
6. Bomb Attack on Mandalay University During Regime Officials’ Visit:
On August 6, at around 8:45 AM, as regime officials visited Mandalay University, female revolutionaries carried out a mine attack. The attack targeted the area near the university’s military training unit UTC and was conducted by Shwebo District Battalion 15, Eagle Guerrilla Force, and Civilian Military – Sagaing Region Defense Force. The attack was carefully managed to avoid casualties among non-combatants and primarily aimed at regime officials and military personnel.

7. Shooting at Police Station in Chaung U:
On August 6, at 9:50 AM, an attack occurred at the Chaung U police station. The station commander and one police officer were killed, and another suffered leg injuries. The attack was carried out by the Monya District Battalion 15, with the police station being responsible for collecting fees from passersby.
8. Mandalay Region Administrator Assassinated:
On August 6, at 7:30 AM, Phyo Than Taung, the administrator of the Maekgyi region, and his sister were shot and killed in Aung Myay Thazan Township, Mandalay. The attack was carried out by gunmen on motorcycles, and Phyo Than Taung was known for his role in recruiting new soldiers for the military. The region has been under strict security measures due to rumors of revolutionary attacks.
9. Production of Pistols by Gangaw People’s Defense Force:
The Gangaw People’s Defense Force announced on August 6 that they have produced pistols. The defense forces in Sagaing and Magway regions have also been successfully manufacturing various small arms.
