Additionally, the minister stated that the international community is aware that the military council is on the verge of defeat. They have already sought information from the National Unity Government regarding the transitional plan.
2. The Union Minister of the Ministry of Human Rights of the National Unity Government met with the spring revolutionary forces in South Korea
A meeting between the Union Minister of the Ministry of Human Rights of the National Unity Government, U Aung Myo Min, and the spring revolutionary forces in South Korea was held in Busan on February 4, 2024, from 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.

6. During the battle of Shwe Pyi Aye, 15 military council soldiers were killed and 40 were wounded

MNDAA announced on February 4 that it is currently working on a program to register temporary residence permits for foreign nationals who are legally resident and issue temporary residence certificates at the same time.
8. Thein Za Yat security gate of the military council was attacked with heavy weapons and small arms, killing at least 3 junta soldiers
According to a Yangon Eagles (Eagle Brigade) official, the military council’s security gate in Thein Za Yat Town, Kyaikto Township, Mon State, was attacked with heavy weapons and small arms, killing at least 3 junta soldiers and injuring at least 10.
He said that on February 1, the security gate at the quarry near IB-207 in Thein Za Yat Town, where the military council troops and Pyu Saw Htee were stationed with a force of 50 was attacked with 60-mm grenades, 40 mm grenade launchers, and small arms. In the attack, at least 3 military council soldiers were killed and 10 were injured.

The Monywa District Battalion 15 (CRA) stated that 3 junta soldiers, including a major, were killed and 7 others were wounded in the battle that lasted for almost 3 hours. During the battle, the military council troops at Maubin Gate continuously fired heavy artillery shells, and the defense forces had to retreat due to a lack of ammunition.
The attack was carried out by the Monywa District Battalion 15 Company 4, the local defense forces, and other revolutionary forces.
10. The junta column invading Kanbalu burned a mentally ill person to death and burned down 2 villages

On February 1, at around 6:00 a.m., the 100-strong column of the military council soldiers and Pyu Saw Htee, which came out of the Zigon Sugar Mill in Kanbalu Township, invaded Shan Tat Village in Htan Kone Circuit and killed 49-year-old U Kyi Myint, who was suffering from mental illness, after locking up in his house and burning him to death.
On February 3, at about 6:00 a.m., that junta column coming out of Shan Tat Village abducted a 62-year-old man as a human shield. At about 1 p.m., the column raided Pe Lei Village with heavy weapons and small arms and then camped overnight. In the morning of the next day (February 4), the column burned down 6 public houses and 4 rice barns.
After that, the column raided Bo Kalay Village and Tha Pyay Thar Lay Village, and at around 10:55 a.m., they burned down civilian houses in Tha Pyay Thar Lay Village, according to local residents.
It is also reported that residents from Pyin Taw, Nyaung Kaing, Thayet Kan Gyi, Kyar Bakkan, Maung Taing, Yaw, Shan Tat, Min Kone, and Pe Lei villages in Kanbalu Township are fleeing because of the incursion and arson of the military council troops.
