The Union Minister Dr. Zaw Wai Soe urged the public to participate in the final battles for occupation at the “Seize Nay Pyi Taw and Take Victory” campaign ceremony held on February 4.

“The time has come to engage in more occupation battles for the ultimate victory. We must exert more effort and come together with unity and all our capabilities for the final battle. It is crucial. Therefore, we urge individuals both at home and abroad to join us now. This is the moment to participate with full force and work relentlessly,” the Union Minister said.

Additionally, the minister stated that the international community is aware that the military council is on the verge of defeat. They have already sought information from the National Unity Government regarding the transitional plan.

A meeting between the Union Minister of the Ministry of Human Rights of the National Unity Government, U Aung Myo Min, and the spring revolutionary forces in South Korea was held in Busan on February 4, 2024, from 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.

Revolutionary forces from Busan, Gimhae, Daegu, and other cities attended the meeting and actively participated in the discussion. The Union Minister responded, and Representative U Yan Naing Tun also addressed questions during the session.

The Union Minister U Aung Myo Min also attended the demonstration in front of Busan Station and delivered a speech.

The 88th generation student leader, U Min Ko Naing, said that the fascist system must end during the Spring Revolution at the “Seize Nay Pyi Taw and Take Victory” campaign ceremony held on February 4.

“Right now, the most important thing is to be united. For sure, we will root out the fascists. The fascist system must be put to an end. We are already united on the rest of the federal democracy issues. So today, they say that the support of the public is the most important, but the public has come to understand what is important. They are accustomed to revolution. This is good,” he said.

At present, the terrorist army can only dominate the cities of Yangon, Mandalay, and Nay Pyi Taw, and can no longer deploy troops in most of the other places.

As for welcoming the New Year, the Kokang Army MNDAA announced on January 4 that it had provided grants to wounded comrades and family members of heroes.

The donation ceremony was held at the Kokang District Administration Hall on February 3, and the Special Region Executive Board met with the family members of the heroes and the wounded comrades and presented them with gifts and grants.

It is also reported that at the ceremony, the political commander of the Kokang Army MNDAA, Jin Xing, spoke about the success of Operation 1027.

MNDAA announced on February 4 that it is currently working on a program to register temporary residence permits for foreign nationals who are legally resident and issue temporary residence certificates at the same time.

According to a Yangon Eagles (Eagle Brigade) official, the military council’s security gate in Thein Za Yat Town, Kyaikto Township, Mon State, was attacked with heavy weapons and small arms, killing at least 3 junta soldiers and injuring at least 10.

He said that on February 1, the security gate at the quarry near IB-207 in Thein Za Yat Town, where the military council troops and Pyu Saw Htee were stationed with a force of 50 was attacked with 60-mm grenades, 40 mm grenade launchers, and small arms. In the attack, at least 3 military council soldiers were killed and 10 were injured.

On February 3, at around 9:00 a.m., the People’s Defense Forces intercepted and attacked the about 80 strong military council soldiers, which marched from Taw Pu (Pyu) Village, Monywa Township, in the south of Nagartwin Village.

The Monywa District Battalion 15 (CRA) stated that 3 junta soldiers, including a major, were killed and 7 others were wounded in the battle that lasted for almost 3 hours. During the battle, the military council troops at Maubin Gate continuously fired heavy artillery shells, and the defense forces had to retreat due to a lack of ammunition.

The attack was carried out by the Monywa District Battalion 15 Company 4, the local defense forces, and other revolutionary forces.

According to the Kyunhla-Kanbalu Activists Group, the junta column invading Kanbalu Township, Sagaing Division, burned a mentally ill person to death and burned down 2 villages.

On February 1, at around 6:00 a.m., the 100-strong column of the military council soldiers and Pyu Saw Htee, which came out of the Zigon Sugar Mill in Kanbalu Township, invaded Shan Tat Village in Htan Kone Circuit and killed 49-year-old U Kyi Myint, who was suffering from mental illness, after locking up in his house and burning him to death.

On February 3, at about 6:00 a.m., that junta column coming out of Shan Tat Village abducted a 62-year-old man as a human shield. At about 1 p.m., the column raided Pe Lei Village with heavy weapons and small arms and then camped overnight. In the morning of the next day (February 4), the column burned down 6 public houses and 4 rice barns.

After that, the column raided Bo Kalay Village and Tha Pyay Thar Lay Village, and at around 10:55 a.m., they burned down civilian houses in Tha Pyay Thar Lay Village, according to local residents.

It is also reported that residents from Pyin Taw, Nyaung Kaing, Thayet Kan Gyi, Kyar Bakkan, Maung Taing, Yaw, Shan Tat, Min Kone, and Pe Lei villages in Kanbalu Township are fleeing because of the incursion and arson of the military council troops.
