1. The Acting President said that people who are fighting against a dictator must not behave like dictators at all
Acting President Duwa Lashi La said that those who are fighting against the dictator must not behave in a dictatorial way.
This was added in the National Unity Government Acting President Duwa Lashi La’s New Year’s Speech of State on December 31.
“We need to be aware that we must not continue the behavior of the fascist army even when we are waging an armed defensive war. People who are fighting a tyrant must not behave like a tyrant at all. We need to follow legitimate military methods in the defensive war,” said the Acting President.
It is crucial for us to recognize that upholding the principles of justice is imperative, even during the course of an armed defensive war. Regardless of the circumstances, those fighting against a tyrannical regime must not behave like tyranny at all. It is essential that we adhere to lawful military tactics as we engage in the defensive war.
In addition, the Acting President added that the military ethics established by the international community must be respected and followed.
2. 3 Chin revolutionary groups announced the formation of Chinland Brotherhood Alliance
The Chin National Federation CNO/CNF, Chin National Council – Mindat/CDF, and Zomi Federal Union- ZFU/PDF-Zoland, which emerged after the military coup, announced that they have formed the Chinland Brotherhood Alliance.
“Since the formation of the Chinland Brotherhood Alliances, our focus has shifted exclusively to issues concerning Chin State and the wider Chin nation. Our engagement will only be undertaken with the unanimous consent of the three Chinland Brotherhood Alliance.
In the event of political or military aggression against any member group of the Chinland Brotherhood Alliance, we will join forces and collectively defend ourselves.
Additionally, we will strive to coordinate and collaborate with organizations and individuals that adhere to the shared agreement of the three Chinland Brotherhood Alliance, particularly in addressing matters pertaining to Chin State, the Chin nation, and the overall affairs of the union,” the statement announced on December 30 stated.
On the other hand, the Chin State Council, which includes the Chin National Front CNF/CNA, the Chinland Defense Force CDF, and the elected members of the House of Representatives, has been formed.
3. 2 year anniversary of Shwebo District Battalion (14) – Ye U PDF was held
On December 29th, Shwebo District Battalion (14) – Ye U PDF’s 2nd anniversary ceremony was held at a place in Shwebo District.
It is said that due to various ground conditions, the ceremony was held two days late on December 31, despite difficulties.
The ceremony started by saluting the PDF flag of the People’s Defense Army, and a one-minute silent salute was paid for the comrades of the battalion and the martyrs who gave their lives during the military dictatorship’s revolution.
Then Sagaing Federal Unit Hluttaw Chairman, the person in charge of Ye-U Township People’s Administration, the battalion commander and deputy battalion commander of Shwebo District Battalion (14) gave words of encouragement and congratulations.
According to Shwebo District Battalion (14), traditional sports competitions were held to further strengthen the unity of the comrades.
4. The hacked KNDF central social media page has been restored
Karenni Nationalities Defense Force (KNDF) Headquarters’ social media page, “Karenni Nationalities Defense Force-KNDF,” has been restored, KNDF announced.
On December 26, hackers infiltrated and took control over the social media page of KNDF Headquarters. However, the KNDF Facebook Team managed to regain control on December 31.
Consequently, we are pleased to announce that KNDF news and military updates in Karenni will continue to be shared. Additionally, we have also restored the functionality to communicate through Messenger, allowing individuals to obtain information and make monetary contributions.
The Admin Team apologizes to civilians who were disturbed by the posting of content and photos unrelated to KNDF between December 26 and 30, when the social media page of KNDF Headquarters was controlled by hackers.

5. More than 10 mines deployed by the military were found during the mine clearance operation in Mobye
Mobyae People Defense Force – Local PDF has released that during the mine clearance operation in Mobye Town captured by the Karenni Alliance forces in Karenni State, they were able to clear more than 10 mines of various kinds deployed by the military.
According to Mobyae – Local PDF Center and Information Officer, some neighborhoods in Mobye where military council troops were stationed have been cleared of mines since November 20.
In addition, at the request of the civilians to protect their houses from the danger of fire, over 30 houses and plots of land in the neighborhoods have been cleared of thick bushes and grasses.
Mobyae People Defense Force- Local PDF is participating in the 1111 Operation and is active on the side of Demoso and Loikaw. It is reported that they are continuing to clear some of the remaining neighborhoods in Mobye Town.
During the 1111 Operation that started on November 11, Mobye Town was controlled in the third week of November, and only one LIB-422 near the town was left to be captured, the Mobye-Pekon operation coalition announced.
6. A 7-year-old boy was killed in an aerial bombardment by the Military Council without a fight in Tigyaing Township
Tigyaing Revolution -TR reported that a house was destroyed by fire and a 7-year-old boy was killed due to the military council’s aerial bombardments without a fight in the Tigyaing Township of Sagaing.
It is reported that a jet fighter that came from the Tada-U Air Force bombed 2 times near Kanpauk Village in Tigyaing Township at about 2:30 p.m. on December 31.
As a result of the bombing, one exploded in front of the Kanpauk Monastery and another exploded between the Kanpauk Monastery and the school.
According to Tigyaing Revolution -TR, a house between the monastery and the school was destroyed by the air attack and a 7-year-old child was killed.
In the past few days, a jet fighter plane from Myitkyina has bombarded Tigyaing Town and Mya Taung Village.
Local military sources stated that revolutionary forces have been trying to attack and capture Tigyaing Town since November 8, so battles are frequent, and the terrorist military council has been carrying out airstrikes.
7. Drone bombed on the Myoma police station and town hall in Salingyi Township
According to Daung Taman Air Operations, a drone attack was carried out on the Myoma police station and town hall in Salingyi Township, Sagaing Division.
On December 30, at around 4:00 p.m., revolutionary forces dropped 9 bombs with a drone on Myoma police station and the town hall where the terrorist military council troops were stationed.
The casualties of the military council troops during the attack are still being investigated, and it is reported that the joint forces were able to retreat safely amid the heavy fire of small arms.

8. Military council column and Pyu Village in Madaya bombed by drone
The People’s Defense Urban Guerrilla Force (Mandalay) Generation Z Power stated that a military council column that entered Sauk Chon Pauk Village, and a Pyu Village in Madaya Township, Mandalay Division, were bombed with a drone.
On December 27, in Madaya Township, the defense forces dropped four bombs with a drone on the military council column that entered Sauk Chon Pauk Village in 3 columns at about 10:50 a.m., and Nyaungkone (Pyu) Village at 12:00 p.m.
The People’s Defense Urban Guerrilla Force (Mandalay) reported that the military council soldiers may have been injured as a result of the attack.
The attack was carried out by the People’s Defense Urban Guerrilla Force (Mandalay) – Generation Z Power Force, Pathein Gyi PaKaFa, Madaya PaKaFa, BRA, and Shar Htoo Waw Technology Drone Team.
9. As a New Year’s Eve operation, the revolutionary allied forces jointly attacked the 2 battalions under SaKaKha 19 in Ye Township
As a New Year’s Eve operation, two battalions under SaKaKha 19 based in Ye Township were attacked by the joint forces of the revolutionary alliance in southern Mon State.
On December 31, at around 5:45 a.m., the allied joint forces attacked the military council’s LIB-91 and LIB-583 under SaKaKha 19 based in Ye Township with heavy weapons, RPG, 60 mm, drones, and small arms.
As a result of this attack, the military council battalions fired at least 30 times with heavy weapons at the nearby Myaung Village, Aishay Village and Kanni Village.
The operation was carried out by the revolutionary allied forces based in the south of Mon State, namely Mon State Revolutionary Force – MSRF, Dawna Column, Ye Guerilla Force – YGF, ABSDF Battalion 1, Mon State Revolutionary Organization – MSRO, and Ye Air Force – YAF.
On November 30, the revolutionary alliance forces based in the south of Mon State drank oath water and cooperated as an alliance.
During the year 2023, they carried out necessary joint attacks several times, and promised to increase the speed of operations in the coming year.
