The Acting President of the National Unity Government, Duwa Lashi La, answered in an interview by The Globe and Mail in November.

“The fighting is not only happening in the north of the country. It is also happening in the middle and south. We are all working together to reach our goal,” the Acting President said.

Currently, the National Unity Government is working together with ethnic revolutionary forces in military and political cooperation.

Union Minister Dr. Tu Hkawng announced on social media that there are more than 6,000 basic education schools under the NUG government and 1,000 schools in the ethnic revolution region with more than 800,000 students.

“According to the reports of the Ministry of Education at the Interim Local Administration Central Committee (ILACC) meeting held today, there are more than 6,000 basic schools under the NUG government and 1,000 schools in ethnic revolution areas. There are more than 800,000 students. Higher education schools, specialized multi-subject universities, universities of science and technology, and medical universities are now open both online and on-ground. The control areas on the ground are increasing day by day. The ground offices and some regional offices of the ministries have already been established. Communications networks will gradually cover the whole country,” the minister said.

The National Unity Government is implementing an interim education program both on the ground and online.

3. The meeting of the Interim Local Administration Central Committee (ILACC) was held

On November 30, the meeting of the NUG’s Interim Local Administration Central Committee (ILACC) (48/2023) was held. At the meeting, Union Minister for Labour U Nai Tun Pe @ U Nai Suwunna, a member of ILACC, gave an opening speech.

Following, attending members of the ILACC explained the completion status of the activities adopted at the meeting (47/2023), future plans and processes that needed to proceed, and the relevant officials discussed them extensively.

The meeting was attended by Union Ministers, Deputy Ministers, Permanent Secretaries, Associate Permanent Secretaries and officials from ministries.

4. After the 1027 operation, a total of (218.73) million kyats were distributed to various regions as humanitarian aid to IDPs across Myanmar

The Ministry of Humanitarian Affairs and Disaster Management (MOHADM) of the National Unity Government announced on November 30 that a total of (218.73) million kyats were distributed to various regions as humanitarian aid to IDPs around Myanmar after Operation 1027.

“The People’s Defense Forces and the ethnic alliance forces are waging camp and city capture battles in various areas along with the “1027 Operation” and are continuously gaining control over the territories. The Ministry of Humanitarian Affairs and Disaster Management of the National Unity Government has been providing for the humanitarian needs of IDPs in the conflict areas, including the people who have fled the war to the Mizoram area and 13 states and regions,” it stated.

After Operation 1027, 407,838 civilians were forced to flee the war, and for these civilians, the Ministry contributed a total of 218.73 million kyats as humanitarian aid to various regions from October 27 to November 30.

On November 30, the Interim Central Bank of the National Unity Government officially announced that the cash balances of private banks in Kawlin City totaling 44,518.297 million kyats had been systematically received.

According to the guidance of the Interim Central Bank of the National Unity Government, the Kawlin District Coordinating Team inspected the private banks in Kawlin City, Kawlin District in accordance with the procedure and reported that the cash balance of the private banks (44,518.297 million Kyats) was properly confiscated with remarks.

According to the presentation of the Kawlin District Coordinating Team, evidence of attempts to break into the bank vaults (Vault) were found in some private banks, and because they were prevented in time, the public’s savings were not lost.

It has been reported that the Interim Central Bank of the National Unity Government has recorded the receipt and storage of cash balances of private banks in Kawlin City, Kawlin District, and will ensure that the public’s deposits are not damaged. It also stated that the funds will be designated as the Union Treasury Fund in accordance with the law and managed in an orderly manner.

Spring Development Bank sold $10 million worth of shares from November 17 to 27. On November 26, at 6:00 p.m. Myanmar time, the sale of shares of SDB reached US$10 million, but the shares were sold until the deadline.

On November 29, the Security Forces of Special Region (1), Mupan (Hsenwi) District, cut off the bridge connecting Lashio and Mupan (Hsenwi) to prevent enemy reinforcements.

On the morning of November 30, the MNDAA and the local security forces jointly attacked the military council troops operating in Than Lwin Village Group of Mupan (Hsenwi) District three times with drones.

Until now, the alliance forces have captured a total of 186 large and small military camps of the Military Council, and have captured 5 townships such as Chinshwehaw, Monekoe, Kunlong, Pang Hseng, and Konkyan. In addition, they successfully occupied 4 border gates at Chinshwehaw, Monekoe, Pang Hseng and Kyin San Kyaw.
