1. The Union Prime Minister says that the military council (SAC), which did not win international trust until more than two years of the revolution, is committing various wrongdoings

In his remarks at the Meeting No. 28/2023 of the Interim Local Administrative Central Committee (ILACC) held virtually on July 13, Union Prime Minister Mahn Winn Khaing Thann mentioned that “the military council, which did not win international trust until more than two years of the revolution, is committing various wrongdoings.”

“The military council, which has not won international trust for more than two years of the revolution and is facing various pressures domestically, is committing various wrongdoings as a way out. In order to reclaim the country, the human community, and the future envisioned by all the revolutionary forces, the public’s strength is essential, and we need to fight together unceasingly with the public.”

The military regime has burned and destroyed civilian houses in rural areas, totalling more than 70,000 houses so far.

2. Ambassador U Kyaw Moe Tun states at the UN meeting that the terrorist military regime continues to intentionally use sexual violence as a war tactic

Ambassador Kyaw Moe Tun, Permanent Representative of Myanmar to the UN, addressed the following at the UN Security Council Open Debate on “Women and Peace and Security: Sexual Violence in Conflict,” held on July 14, 2023:

“In many situations, including my own country Myanmar, civilians were exposed to higher levels of sexual violence as a result of the collapse of the rule of law and the escalation of conflicts following unconstitutional changes of government. Patterns of sexual violence deepened. Sexual violence continued to be used as a deliberate tactic of war.”

Ambassador U Kyaw Moe Tun went on to state that the military regime used sexual violence as part of political violence to intimidate and punish opponents.

3. People donate meals with meat dishes as well as funds to the PDF forces and IDP camps to commemorate the birthday of NUG Human Rights Minister U Aung Myo Min

As birthday presents for U Aung Myo Min, Union Minister of the National Unity Government’s Ministry of Human Rights, whose birthday will fall on July 17, people who adore and admire him donated meals with meat dishes and money to the PDF forces and IDP camps.

“The 17th of this month is the birthday of Human Rights Minister U Aung Myo Min. To commemorate his birthday, we are feeding pork curry and rice to the resistance comrades in Anyar (upland). We are feeding five battalions,” said some of the revolutionary supporters in July.

U Aung Myo Min has been an advocate for human rights in Myanmar for many years and is currently a human rights minister in the cabinet of the National Unity Government who is striving to take action against the human rights violations by the terrorist military council.

4. Nyaung-U District PDF Battalion No. 2 and Tumee Battalion of the CDF-Kanpetlet joined forces to attack the junta troops stationed in Kanpetlet Town

“On July 13, the Nyaung-U District PDF Battalion No. 2 joined forces with the Tumee Battalion of the CDF-Kanpetlet to launch a joint attack against the military council troops stationed in Kanpetlet Town. From 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., we fired heavy weapons, shock missiles, and drone grenades at them, and at 3:00 p.m., we surged in and fought them with light weapons,” stated the Nyaung-U District PDF Battalion No. 2.

The two sides exchanged fire in the attack, and the people’s defence forces reportedly retreated due to insufficient ammunition. There were causalities on the military council troops side, and two troops fled while a drone of the people’s defence forces was crashed, according to the Nyaung-U District PDF Battalion No. 2.

5. The military launched an air attack using a Mi-35 in Taze Township

According to the Depeyin (Tabayin) Township Brotherhood group, a Mi-35 attack helicopter launched an air attack in Taze Township, Sagaing Region, this morning.

The group also said, “We received a report that another jet fighter is heading north through Sagaing Town.”

The aftermath damage of the air attack has yet to be confirmed.

6. A drone attack was launched against the junta forces stationed in Chaung Hna Khwa village, Kyaikmaraw Township, Mon State

The KNDO and PDF allied forces launched a drone attack against the military council forces stationed in the Police Station and some concealing spots in Chaung Hna Khwa village, Kyaikmaraw Township, Mon State, on the evening of July 12.

The Saw Dragon Drone Force (SDDF) released an operation report on July 15: “On July 12, starting at 3:30 p.m., the Saw Dragon Drone Force-SDDF, in cooperation with the KNDO Battalion No. 6, the White Dragon Column, and the Albino Tiger Column, launched an operation against the terrorist military council troops stationed on Chaung Hna Khwa village, Kyaikmaraw Township, Mon State. During the operation, we dropped four grenades on some enemy concealing spots and the Chaung Hna Khwa Police Station, with all grenades exploding near the targets.”

The operation ended at about 7:00 p.m., and all members of the people’s defence forces were able to retreat unscathed, according to the SDDF. The extent of damage on the enemy side had yet to be confirmed.

7. The military junta troops torched the municipal market in Shein Ma Kar village, Wetlet Township

According to the Wetlet Information Network, at 12:00 a.m. on July 15, the alcohol-intoxicated military junta troops opened fire indiscriminately and torched the municipal market in Shein Ma Kar village, Wetlet Township.

It stated, “The military council troops stationed in Shein Ma Kar village, situated in the eastern part of Wetlet Township, were drunk and fired a lot of machine guns, artillery shells, and guns indiscriminately. Then, at about 12:00 at night, they burned three houses and two huts in the west of the village for no reason before going back to the village and burning the shops in the village municipal market and civilian houses again.”

According to the reports, about 33 shops and houses were destroyed in the fire.
