1. Daw Aung San Suu Kyi’s portrait was presented to the President of Timor-Leste

On July 3, the President of Timor-Leste, José Ramos-Horta, announced it on social media.

The Union Minister of Foreign Affairs of the National Unity Government, Daw Zin Mar Aung, met with the President of Timor-Leste, José Ramos Horta, and presented a portrait of Daw Aung San Suu Kyi, which the President accepted.

2. Defence Minister U Yee Mon said that after centering Nay Pyi Taw, the military junta that is occupying the country will be eradicated

At the closing ceremony of the Pyi Taw Win campaign held on July 3, Union Minister of the Ministry of Defence of the National Unity Government, U Yee Mon, said, “After centering on Nay Pyi Taw, we will fight and eliminate the military junta that is occupying the country.”

“All the way to Nay Pyi Taw means that our comrades are marching with the aim of taking the current Nay Pyi Taw as the center and then fighting and eliminating the military junta that is occupying the country and handing the people’s power back to the people,” said the Union Minister.

In addition, the Defence Minister said that the PDF comrades are now capable of fighting on all military fronts.

Currently, more than 300 People’s Defense Force (PDF) battalions and 250 township people’s organizations (PaKaFa) have been formed.

3. Union Minister U Nai Suwunna attended the meeting between the Interim Local Administration Central Committee (ILACC) and the township people’s administrative bodies of Sagaing Division

On July 3, the meeting between the NUG’s Interim Local Administration Central Committee (ILACC) and the township people’s administrative bodies of Sagaing Division (26/2023) was held.

At the meeting, Union Minister for Labour U Nai Tun Pe @ U Nai Suwunna, a member of ILACC, gave an opening speech.

4. Union Minister U Htin Linn Aung said that the whole country needs to be liberated

At a public meeting with Chin ethnics held in the United States on July 2, Union Minister U Htin Linn Aung of the Ministry of Communications, Information and Technology said, “The whole country needs to be liberated.”

“We know that there are 9 townships in Chin State. One township alone can’t be liberated. Only one Chin State can’t be liberated. We need to free the whole country. The whole country is in prison and has not yet been liberated,” said the Union Minister.

At present, ethnic forces and the People’s Defense Forces have control over areas in Karenni State, Chin State, Sagaing Region, and Magway Region.

5. The total number of people killed during the Spring Revolution reached 3,744

On July 3, AAPP reported about the current situation after the military coup that the total number of people who had been killed during the spring revolution reached 3,744.

“Since the February 1, 2021 coup and the emergence of the Spring Revolution, a total of (3,744) people, including pro-democracy activists and civilians have been killed through military crackdowns against the pro-democracy movement,” it stated.

Since the coup in 2021 until July 3, 2023, a total of (23,670) people were arrested and among them, (19,312) are currently under detention, (6,645) of whom are serving sentences.

6. The terrorist military council gate was fired near the paper mill in Thein Za Yat, Kyaikto Township

At 10:30 a.m. on July 3, the Souls Takers UG informed that they had opened fire at the military council gate near the Paper Mill in Thein Za Yat, Kyaikto Township.

“At about 10:30 a.m. on July 3, our Souls Takers UG group opened fire from car on the terrorist military council gate near the Paper Mill in Thein Za Yat, Kyaikto Township, Mon State,” it stated.

Encountering the military council’s reinforcement in ambush, we exchanged fire and one Pyu under the military council was killed.

On the morning of July 3, the Paungde People Defense Force (PPDF 3601 Battalion) attacked the junta soldiers who came to remove the banner hanging on the city’s exit signboard.

“On July 3, at 8:15 am, the Paungde People Defense Force conducted a remote mine attack on the 5 terrorist junta soldiers from Paungde Township who came to take down the banner “The whole country is united, the whole nation is red, peacock stomped Min Aung Hlaing’s head” hanging on the city’s exit signboard next to Yangon-Pyay Road, Paungde Township, Pyay District, Bago Region. The damages are still being investigated,” it stated.

It is reported that the brave comrades of the Paungde People Defense Force were able to conduct the mission safely without any difficulties.

8. The Supporters Cup soccer tournament will be held in Daegu, South Korea

The Myanmar Federal Democratic Mission Coalition (MFDMC) announced on July 3 that the second Supporters Cup soccer tournament will be held in Daegu, South Korea.
