1.  Union Prime Minister Mann Win Khaing Than says that he is convinced that the terrorist military council is going to collapse permanently soon

Union Prime Minister Mann Win Khaing Than said at the Cabinet Meeting (22/2023) held on July 4 that he was convinced that the terrorist military council is going to collapse permanently soon.

“In this revolution, the courage and zeal of our revolutionary forces must be recorded, and on the other hand, the acts of inhumanity by the brutal terrorist military council must also be recorded. Therefore, our National Unity Government is collaborating with all the revolutionary forces to exert pressure on the terrorist military council from various perspectives, such as diplomatic, political, military, economic, and administrative affairs, and I strongly believe that in the near future this terrorist military council will collapse forever,” Union Prime Minister Mann Win Khaing Than stated.

The Union Prime Minister also stated that trust between each other matters the most since there may be a lot of fake news and incitements to divide the revolutionary forces.

2. The National Unity Government honours 400 million MMK to the Chin revolutionary organisation for destroying two armoured vehicles of the terrorist military regime

At the Cabinet Meeting (22/2023) held on July 4, the National Unity Government granted 400 million MMK to the Chin revolutionary alliance of the Chin National Army of the Chin National Front (CNF/CNA) and the Chinland Defence Forces (CDF) for destroying two armoured vehicles of the terrorist military regime.

“Following the Review and Reward Committee’s confirmation of the Chin revolutionary forces’ claim that they had destroyed two armoured vehicles of the terrorist military regime with evidence, the National Unity Government granted 400 million MMK to the officials of the CNF/CAN and CDFs, or 200 million MMK for each armoured vehicle, in accordance with the announcement it had made,” it stated.

The Chin-allied defence forces attacked a military convoy of more than 30 vehicles led by two armoured vehicles that departed from Kalay Town, Sagaing Division, on March 7, when they arrived near Chuncung village, 10 miles away from Hakha, Chin State, on April 13 and destroyed two armoured vehicles.

Acting President Duwa Lashi La, Union Prime Minister Mahn Winn Khaing Thann, and Union Ministers and Deputy Ministers of the National Unity Government were present at the Cabinet Meeting (22/2023) held on July 4, 2023.

3. Defence Minister U Yee Mon says that a True Federal Democratic System will be established

U Yee Mon, Union Minister for the National Unity Government’s Ministry of Defence, remarked the following at the closing ceremony of the “Pyi Taw Win (Returning Home)” revolutionary fundraising campaign held on July 3:

“The ultimate goal of this revolution is to revolutionise the system; it will not end until the system is revolutionised. If we are asked which system we have to revolutionise, it is to eradicate the fascist military dictatorship that has been anchored in our country for more than 60 years and to establish a true federal democratic system in our country. Our goal is very clear.”

The National Unity Government is currently moving forward in accordance with the Federal Charter and is cooperating with Ethnic Resistance Organisations.

4. A two-year-and-ten-month-old toddler and his/her two parents were injured as a result of indiscriminate bombing by the terrorist junta at an IDP camp in Demoso Township

The military council launched an unprovoked aerial bombardment at an IDP camp in Demoso Township on July 4, 2023, injuring a two-year-and-ten-month-old toddler and his/her two parents and destroying some IDP tents and a temporary school.

“The military council unprovokedly bombed an IDP camp located in the western part of Demoso Township. During the bombing attack that happened at around 2:00 a.m., a jet fighter dropped bombs four times, two 500-pound and two 102-pound bombs, for no reason, injuring a two-year-and-ten-month-old toddler and his/her two parents and destroying some IDP tents and a temporary school,” said the Demoso Local PDF (DMO-Local PDF).

According to the DMO-Local PDF, the military council, which is experiencing losses on the ground battles, has frequently carried out deliberate aerial bombardments and artillery attacks on IDP camps.

5. The junta’s artillery battalion is carrying out daily artillery firing at villages in Kyainseikgyi Township, Kayin State, forcing 1,000 local residents to displace

On July 3, the Karen National Union (KNU) Department of Organising and Information released information regarding the junta’s targeting of civilians in Kayin State’s Kyainseikgyi Township (KNU’s Win Ye Township).

“Since June 28, the terrorist military council’s 318th Artillery Battalion (AB-318), based in Ah Bit village in Mon State’s Mudon Township, has shot 122-mm howitzers and 120-mm mortars daily into the direction of Kha Lel, Ta Gon Daing, Pu Lein, Myo Haung, and Nyein Chan Myine villages, exploding near the villages and forcing local residents to displace. On July 2, at about 10:45 a.m., the AB-318 shot 122-mm howitzers into Pu Lein, Myo Haung village, indiscriminately, exploding inside the village. Due to the coup military council’s daily targeting of civilians and shooting at villages and surrounding areas, regardless of day or night, about 1,000 villagers from Pu Lane, Kha Lel, Ta Gon Daing, and Nan Thaing Htun villages are fleeing for their lives out of fear,” said the KNU statement.

6. To honour a fallen hero, the Ministry of Defence presents a letter of appreciation and financial support of 10 lakh kyats to the bereaved family

On July 4, the Yinmabin District PDF Battalion No. 24 (Steel Viper) informed the public regarding the Ministry of Defence’s honouring of a fallen PDF fighter.

“The letter of appreciation and 10 lakh kyats of support given by the Ministry of Defence to U Zaw Myint Aung (aka) Bo Set Kyar, a company commander of the Yinmabin District PDF Battalion No. 24 (Steel Viper), who fell during the struggle for federal democracy, was delivered to the bereaved family members,” it stated.

In honour of the fallen PDF colleagues who lost their lives in the fighting during the Spring Revolution, the Ministry of Defence has been presenting letters of appreciation and support money.

7. Prominent Myanmar Democracy Activist U Min Ko Naing’s painting was auctioned for over US$12,000

A painting by prominent democracy activist U Min Ko Naing was auctioned off at the closing ceremony of the “Pyi Taw Win (Returning Home)” revolutionary fundraising campaign held on July 3, raising US$12,345.

The “Pyi Taw Win (Returining Home)” fundraising campaign, which aimed to raise revolutionary funds for the Mandalay People’s Defence Force (MDY PDF), exceeded its 400 million kyats goal.
