On June 13, Committee Representing Pyidaungsu Hluttaw (CRPH) announced that they discussed the work processes to further develop the education sector.
The Education Committee held a meeting with the Public Affairs Committee on June 12 via video conference regarding the cooperation process to obtain the necessary support to further develop the education sector.
In the meeting, the Chairman of the Education Committee said that this discussion is for activities that can be connected to receive aid related to the mental and physical support of CDM teachers and volunteer teachers. After that the Education Committee discussed and received suggestions from the members of the Public Affairs Committee on issues related to the implementation of international level courses, the provision of necessary aid, and the development partner organizations that will be able to connect.
The meeting was attended by the Chairman of the Education Committee U Robert Nyay Reh, and committee members, and the Chairman of the Public Affairs Committee Dr. Khin Soe Soe Kyi, and other members.

On June 13, NUG Foreign Minister Daw Zin Mar Aung wrote on social media that if people with high marital prowess, strong hearts and wisdom revolt, no tyrant can withstand it.
“If the people with high marital prowess, strong hearts and wisdom revolt, no tyrant can withstand it. Let’s shout out loud again and be strong for the final battle,” said the minister.

3. The Interim Local Administration Central Committee (ILACC) held a meeting with the township people’s administrative bodies of Yangon Division
On June 13, the meeting between the NUG’s Interim Local Administration Central Committee (ILACC) and the township people’s administrative bodies of Yangon Division (11/2023) was held via online.
At the meeting, Union Minister for Electricity & Energy U Soe Thura Tun, and Deputy Minister for Labour U Kyaw Ni, members of ILACC, gave opening speeches respectively.
Following, officials from ministries explained the activities of relevant ministries, and then members of the township people’s administrative bodies exchanged views with relevant officials regarding policies, directions, operations, and challenges encountered on the ground.
The meeting was attended by Union Ministers, Deputy Ministers, Permanent Secretaries, Associate Secretaries, officials from ministries, and members of the township people’s administrative bodies of Yangon Division.
Similarly, Union Minister U Soe Thura Tun attended the meeting between the Interim Local Administration Central Committee (ILACC) and the township people’s administrative bodies of Sagaing Division (23/2023) held on June 12. At the meeting, members of the township people’s administrative bodies asked questions regarding policies, directions, operations, and challenges encountered on the ground and relevant officials responded.
The meeting was attended by Union Ministers, Permanent Secretaries, Associate Secretaries, officials from ministries, and members of the township people’s administrative bodies of Sagaing Division.
4. Union Minister Dr. Tu Hkawng said that NUG is going with collective leadership from the bottom up without orders from above
Union Minister Dr. Tu Hkawng said on June 13 that the NUG is going with collective leadership from the bottom up without orders from above.
“A country, that is crumbling under generals who are comfortable in the reports of “yes, A Ba, everything is fine” everywhere, is an example of great suffering. To escape from this kind of life, we are now revolutionizing. The NUG does not work with orders from above, it is going with collective leadership from the bottom up. We just need to participate and cooperate,” said the minister.
Currently, the National Unity Government is following the federal charter and cooperating with ethnic revolutionary forces.
5. Mr. Sean Turnell has been appointed as a Special Advisor to the Interim Central Bank of NUG
Mr. Sean Turnell has been appointed as a Special Advisor to the Interim Central Bank of NUG.
On June 13, the Interim Central Bank of the National Unity Government announced Order No. 1/2023 as follows:
“Pursuant to the authority granted under Ordinance 1/2023 of the National Unity Government of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar, it is hereby decreed that Mr. Sean Turnell is to be designated as Special Advisor to the Interim Central Bank.”
Mr. Sean Turnell was also the economic policy advisor to State Counselor Daw Aung San Suu Kyi and was released from prison by the terrorist military council on November 17, 2022.
6. During the first two weeks of June, the junta has been responsible for the deaths of 8 women and 37 men across the country
On June 13, AAPP (Assistance Association for Political Prisoners) reported that according to the data collected, during the first two weeks of June, the junta has been responsible for the deaths of 8 women and 37 men across the country.
“On June 10, at 7 a.m., a coalition of junta forces and Pyu Saw Htee militiamen raided Pi Tauk Pin Village in Kanbalu Township, Sagaing Region. They proceeded to shoot and kill a local identified as Thein Win,” it stated.
Moreover, with regards to apprehension across the country, (9) women and (47) men have been arrested, amounting to (56) people in total, with (19) people apprehended solely within Sagaing Region in the span of two weeks. (3) out of the (19) people were female and (16) of them were male.
7. LIB-361 and Pyu joint column under the terrorist military council set fire to shelter tents in Chatthin Ward of Kanbalu District
On June 13, Kyunhla Kanbalu Activists Group – Kanbalu District informed that the refugee shelters in Chatthin Ward of Kanbalu District were burned by LIB-361 and Pyu joint column under the terrorist military council.
It is reported that the LIB-361 and Pyu Joint Column under the terrorist military council set fire to the shelter tents in Taneigyi field (the civilian name) near Zin Village, Chatthin Ward, Kanbalu Township.
9 refugee shelters, a pair of buffalo, 60 tins of rice bags and a pig were damaged in Taneigyi field due to the violent arson of LIB-361 and Pyu joint column.
In addition, the LIB-361 also reportedly burned down a public house in Katta Village on the evening of June 12.
8. A drone attack on a wedding ceremony in Kanni Village, Myain Township
On June 13, Myaing PaKaFa reported the military news that a drone attack was carried out on junta soldiers coming to a wedding ceremony in Kanni Village, Myaing Township.
“Myaing PaKaFa Drone Battalion/Battalion-1, Squadron-1 and Pakokku District Battalion-6 jointly conducted a Drone & Rocket Mission on June 13 at 7:30 a.m. in Kanni Village at a junta soldier’s wedding ceremony,” it stated.
The attack was carried out with one 2 Kg Drop Bomb, and five 450 Bombs from Myaing PaKaFa Drone Battalion, 10 Rockets from District Battalion-6, and 60mm artillery from Squadron-1 of Battalion-1 (Drone Battalion).
Although there was a lot of random firing from junta soldiers and Pyu Saw Htee, the people’s comrades were not harmed.
9. Myanmar-American youth met with California congressmen
It was reported that Myanmar-American youth met with California congressmen.
As a Burma Day Event on June 12, Myanmar-American youth and California lawmakers met at the State Capitol building in Sacramento, the capital of California, United States of America.
California Senator Benjamin J. Allen and Senator Dave Cortese attended and expressed their support for the people of Myanmar who are fighting for democracy. They also gave encouraging words, saying that they stand not only with the Myanmar people at home but also with the Myanmar people in California and abroad.
Organizers of the meeting said that the purpose of the meeting was to inform Myanmar’s democratic movements and for Myanmar youths to participate in the American administration system.
The meeting was held in the city of Sacramento. It was reported that about 70 Myanmar-American youths and families from around the San Francisco Bay Area and southern Los Angeles attended.
