1.  CRPH Chairman U Aung Kyi Nyunt, along with NUG ministers, attended the community meetings with Myanmar diasporas in Indianapolis, Indiana

The Office of the National Unity Government’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Washington D.C. issued a press release on June 12 regarding the attendance of CRPH Chairman U Aung Kyi Nyunt, along with NUG ministers, to the Myanmar community meetings.

According to the press release, on June 11, U Aung Kyi Nyint, Chairman of the Committee Representing Pyidaungsu Hluttaw (CRPH), and the National Unity Government (NUG)’s ministers—Dr. Zaw Wai Soe, Union Minister for Health and Education; U Htin Linn Aung, Union Minister for Communications, Information and Technology; and U Moe Zaw Oo, Deputy Minister for Foreign Affairs—attended the community meetings organised by Myanmar diasporas in Indianapolis, Indiana, United States. The one held at the Burmese Buddhist Temple in Indianapolis took place at 1:00 p.m., and the one organised by the Chin Community of Indiana (CCI) took place at 6:00 p.m. on June 11.

During the meetings, the representatives of the CRPH and the NUG explained about the situation happening in Myanmar, the work they were doing, and future plans, and then had cordial discussions with the Myanmar diaspora.

2. A prayer ceremony for Daw Aung San Suu Kyi’s 78th birthday will be held in Washington, D.C.

A prayer ceremony for Daw Aung San Suu Kyi’s 78th birthday will be held by Myanmar diaspora on June 17 in Washington, D.C., United States, with three purposes. A community meeting will be held back-to-back with the prayer ceremony, and NUG ministers, Dr. Zaw Wai Soe, Union Minister for Health and Education; U Htin Linn Aung, Union Minister for Communications, Information and Technology; and U Moe Zaw Oo, Deputy Minister for Foreign Affairs, will attend the meeting.

State Counsellor Daw Aung San Suu Kyi and President U Win Myint have been unjustly detained by the terrorist military since February 1, 2021.

3. NUG’s Union Minister for Women, Youths and Children’s Affairs urges creating a safe and fun environment for children

On June 11, National Children’s Day, Naw Susanna Hla Hla Soe, Union Minister for Women, Youths and Children’s Affairs, urged the creation of a safe and fun environment for children.

“Children are the flowers from heaven. Let’s make this world a safe and enjoyable place for our kids. Happy Children’s Day!” she stated on social media.

Children have died as a result of the terrorist military’s targeting of civilians in rural towns and villages.

4. NUG’s Deputy Minister of Education attended the first anniversary of the establishment of Yangon Federal School

The first anniversary of Yangon Federal School (YFS) took place on June 11 from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. Ja Htoi Pan, Deputy Minister for the NUG Ministry of Education, attended the event and addressed a speech.

The event then went on to feature readings of congratulations letters from various organisations, an explanation of the school’s operations by a representative of the school, and a memorable address from Mr. Robert, the chairman of the CRPH Education Committee.

The NUG Ministry of Education is implementing interim education and is continuing to offer recognition to ground-based schools and online schools as interim basic education schools.

5. The Karenni State Interim Executive Council (IEC), the interim governing body of the Karenni State, is formed with the aim of protecting the lives and property of the Karenni people

The Karenni State Interim Executive Council (IEC) issued a statement on June 12, officially announcing its formation.

The IEC, which will be led by Khu Oo Reh (KNPP) as chairman and Khun Bi Htoo (KNDF) as vice chairman, will be comprised of 6 council members at the beginning, and it is expected to form at least 12 state affairs departments.

The IEC was established under the political leadership and policy guidelines of the Karen State Consultative Council (KSCC), which was earlier formed in April 2021, with the objective to abolish the 2008 Constitution, end all forms of dictatorship, adopt state constitutions, and build a federal union.

According to the statement, the IEC was formed with the aims of protecting the lives and property of the Karenni people and delivering public services to fulfil the needs of its people, including education, health care, food, and other basic necessities.

6. Thantlang was the most affected by the military’s aerial attacks in Chin State, followed by Mindat, which was the second most affected

The Chinland Defence Force-Mindat (CDF-Mindat) stated on June 12 that Thantlang was the most affected by the military’s aerial attacks in Chin State, with Mindat suffering the second most.

The CDF-Mindat said, “According to a survey conducted from the beginning of 2023 to the end of April, Chin State suffered the most aerial attacks in the whole country. In Chin State, Thantlang was the most affected, and Mindat was the second. Everyone knows that the military council will not listen to what anyone says but instead is trying to crush all the revolutionary people with all its might. The CDF-Mindat cannot defend against air attacks or fight back against them yet. But there are many things we can do. If the fundraising campaign we are doing now is successful, there are many things we can do on the ground.”

At present, the CDF-Mindat, which is based in Mindat, Chin State, is carrying out a fundraising campaign, “Take Strength and Fly: The Vigour of Hornbill,” to raise 500 million kyats in revolutionary funds.

7. Hpruso PDF’s fundraising campaign to buy an RPG has only received 2%, and hence people are urged to support it

On June 12, the Hpruso PDF requested that the people support its fundraising campaign to buy an RPG, which only received 2% of what it needed.

It stated, “The PDF Hpruso started the ‘one PRG’ project on June 10. On June 11, we still only received 2%. For us who have no fundraising support, people’s support is critical. Please lend your hand to our project.”

The Hpruso PDF, a NUG-MOD-recognised People’s Defence Force (PDF) battalion based in Hpruso Township, is Battalion 1104 in the No. 3 Military Region of the Central Military Command.
