1. The Interim Local Administration Central Committee (ILACC) held a meeting with Committees Representing Magway Region, Tanintharyi Region and Bago Region Hluttaws
On May 28, the meeting between the NUG’s Interim Local Administration Central Committee (ILACC) and Committees Representing Magway Region, Tanintharyi Region and Bago Region Hluttaws (4/2023) was held.
At the meeting, Union Minister for Humanitarian Assistance and Disaster Management Dr. Win Myat Aye, a member of ILACC, gave an opening speech.
Following, officials from each ministry and region explained the activities of relevant ministries, and then members of Committees Representing Hluttaws discussed widely with relevant officials about what they wanted to know.
The meeting was attended by Union Ministers, Deputy Ministers, Permanent Secretaries, relevant officials from ministries, and representatives of Committees Representing Magway Region, Tanintharyi Region and Bago Region Hluttaws.
2. Union Minister Dr. Zaw Wai Soe participated in a seminar with undergraduate students at the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA)
It was reported that Union Minister Dr. Zaw Wai Soe participated in a seminar with undergraduate students at the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA).
The Union Minister participated in a small seminar on Myanmar issues with undergraduate students and also met with teachers from various departments, including the Department of Anthropology, the School of Nursing and Public Health.
Dr. Zaw Wai Soe, Minister of Ministry of Education and Ministry of Health, is on an official visit to the United States.

On May 28, the meeting between the NUG’s Interim Local Administration Central Committee (ILACC) and the township people’s administrative bodies of Tanintharyi, Ayeyarwady and Bago Divisions (21/2023) was held.
At the meeting, Union Minister for Labour U Nai Tun Pe @ U Nai Suwunna, a member of ILACC, gave an opening speech.
Following, officials from ministries explained the activities of relevant ministries and then, members of the township people’s administrative bodies exchanged views with relevant officials regarding policies, directions, operations and challenges encountered on the ground.
The meeting was attended by Union Ministers, Deputy Ministers, Permanent Secretaries, Associate Secretaries, officials from ministries, and members of the township people’s administrative bodies of Tanintharyi, Ayeyarwady and Bago Divisions.
4. The Union Minister and Deputy Minister of Human Rights arrived in Melbourne, Australia and met with the Myanmar Community
The Ministry of Human Rights announced on May 28 that the Union Minister and Deputy Minister of Human Rights arrived in Melbourne, Australia, and met with the Myanmar Community.
National Unity Government, Union Minister for Human Rights H.E. Aung Myo Min arrived in Melbourne, Victoria State on 28th of May, 2023. The NUG Deputy Minister for Human Rights Khun Baham Htan, the NUG Representative to Australia Dr. Tun Aung Shwe, members of Myanmar ethnic families in Melbourne, and the CRPH/NUG Support Group (Victoria) officials warmly welcomed H.E. Aung Myo Min at the Melbourne airport.
On the afternoon of May 28, 2023, the Union Minister and his team attended the public meeting held at Collingwood Town Hall in Melbourne and answered the questions raised by the audience.
5. In March and April 2023, the NUG government’s Spring Lottery project allocated more than 6 million kyat to CDM health workers
CDM Medical Network announced on May 28 that in March and April 2023, the NUG government’s Spring Lottery Project allocated more than 6 million kyats to CDM health employees.
“In March 2023, the NUG government’s Spring Lottery Program distributed subsidies to various departments, and a total of 3.25 million kyats of subsidies for CDM health employees were shared by 65 CDM health employees. In April 2023, a total of 3.2 million kyats of subsidy allocation for CDM health employees was shared by 64 CDM health employees,” it stated.
Among the total of more than 30,000 CDM health employees, it is said that employees who are struggling to make ends meet were given priority as much as possible.
6. The 78th birthday celebration of Daw Aung San Suu Kyi, who was unjustly arrested, will be held as a public movement
On May 28, National League for Democracy Party Liaison Officer U Bo Bo Oo announced that the 78th birthday celebration of Daw Aung San Suu Kyi, who was unjustly arrested, would be a public event.
“We will hold the 78th birthday celebration of Daw Aung San Suu Kyi, who was unjustly arrested, as a public movement. We have started discussing,” he said.
On February 1, 2021, the military seized state power, arrested President U Win Myint and chiefs, including State Counselor Daw Aung San Suu Kyi, and charged and imprisoned them.
7. One innocent child was killed by shrapnel and one was injured due to the firing of heavy artillery shells by the Military Operations Command (MOC) 13 of the terrorist military council based in Kyaikdon
On May 28, the Karen National Union – KNU (Central) officially announced that one innocent child was killed by shrapnel and one was injured due to the firing of heavy artillery shells by the Military Operations Command (MOC) 13 of the terrorist military council based in Kyaikdon.
In the administrative zone of Kawthoolei of the KNU-Karen National Union’s 6th Brigade, Dooplaya District, the MOC 13, led by deputy strategic commander Thaw Zin Naing, intentionally fired 60-mm heavy artillery shells into the people’s residences on May 25, 2023, at around 2:30 p.m.
The shell exploded at the top of the bridge in Kyaikdon, KNU-Kawkareik Township, killing Maung Than Naing Oo, a 13-year-old boy from Ward No. 1, Kyaikdon, by shrapnel with a break-through injury at the neck. 8-year-old Maung Than Oo from Ward No. 1 was also wounded in the head and hand with shrapnel and is getting treatment at the hospital.
The KNU (Central) stated that the junta troops under the terrorist military leader Min Aung Hlaing are not only targeting innocent people like enemies, but also committing many crimes such as killing children, the future stars of the country, every day.
8. 5 junta soldiers, including a lieutenant, were killed in a mine attack on a column that came to clear mines from the side of Chaung U
The CHAUNG U REVOLUTION ARMY (CRA) announced the military news on May 28 that 5 junta soldiers, including a lieutenant, were killed in a mine attack on the column that came to clear mines from Chaung U, Sagaing Region.
The Squadron 3 of CHAUNG U REVOLUTION ARMY – Bo Naing Whirlwind People’s Defense Force attacked the column that came out to clear mines from the side of Chaung U at 8:30 a.m. on May 27.
They were able to detonate the 3-point cluster mines at the right time, and a total of 5 junta soldiers, including a lieutenant, were killed and 6 were injured.
9. 100 million kyat campaign “Donate Kalay Town and Support the Revolution” started
It is reported that the 100 million kyat campaign “Donate Kalay Town and Support the Revolution” has started.
In order to support Kalay in the spring revolution, the 100 million kyat campaign called “Donate Kalay Town and Support the Revolution” was raised according to the need for funds to carry out the operations of the People’s Defense Force (Kalay).
The campaign period will be exactly 1 month, from May 24 to June 22.
In the spring revolution, Kalay is a town that has made its start with the Tuumee weapons. Even though the peaceful town at the foot of the Chin Mountains was bombed by helicopters and set on fire, it is still standing.
