State Counsellor Daw Aung San Suu Kyi said not to worry about the party dissolving since the NLD party grew out of the people and will exist as long as there are people. She had also urged all party members to take care of their health, work in unison, and negotiate disputes.

The Central Working Committee of the National League for Democracy Party stated in a press release dated November 8, 2022, that it would not accept the military council’s plans to hold a sham election that intend to gain political legitimacy and international recognition.
