After that, the Union Prime Minister of the National Unity Government handed over 50 weapons among the weapons to be handed over to the Southern Regional Command to the deputy commander of the Cobra Column.

Comrades of the People’s Defense Forces said that the most dangerous leader of Pyu Saw Htee was captured and is being interrogated in the town of Chaung-U in Sagaing Division. Yesterday (December 25), comrades of the People’s Defense Forces arrested Pyu Saw Htee leader Hla Sint from Kangyikone Village, which is famous as Pyu Saw Htee village in Chaung-U town.
A comrade of the People’s Defense Forces said that Hla Suint was dressed in robes, took the title of Nanda Cara as a monk and stood as the leader of Pyu Saw Htee. Because of him, many PDFs have been killed and arrested. Now that he has been arrested, the details are being looked into and the news will be released soon, said an official from the People’s Defense Forces of Chaung-U.
The revolutionary forces said that arresting Pyu Saw Htee leader Hla Sint by raiding Kangyikone Village with at least 10 People’s Defense Alliance Forces would cause a lot of damage to the military council.
At present, the military situation in Chaung-U Township is tense and the revolutionary forces have issued a statement for people not to use the Chaung-U road section at all.
6. News that four civilians lost their lives when the junta troops fired from the air at Nyaungkan village in Saw Township
On December 26, the military council carried out airstrikes with jet fighters at around 01:55 p.m. on Nyaungkan village, Saw Township, Magway Division. It is reported that four villagers lost their lives and seven were injured when heavy weapons fell on their houses due to airstrikes.
The four deceased are Ko Zaw Min (47 years), Daw Saw Wyne (66 years), Ko Kyaw Htay Lin (around 40s) and Ko Zaw Htay Win (45 years). Daw Saw Wyne, Ko Kyaw Htay Lin and Ko Zaw Htay Win are a family. Three members of the same family lost their lives and one of them was in a critical condition. Four of the seven injured people were seriously injured, so they were transferred to the hospital.
At first, I heard the explosive sound without the junta troops marching or sound of the military jet. Then, I heard the sound of fighter jet. That’s when I knew I was under air attack. The second time, I heard the sound of gunfire and saw a jet fighter and smoke. I thought it was coming to my own village, but it turned out to be a neighboring village. In less than five minutes, an airstrike took place for no apparent reason, and four people lost their lives, according to a person who lived in the neighboring village. It is known that five residential houses were also destroyed by fire due to the military council’s aerial fire.
