Yangon Revolution Force – YRF (Soft Strike Community) stated, “On this day, the 77th Birthday of our leader Daw Aung San Suu Kyi, the protestors chanted slogans against the military dictatorship, chanting “Immediately release all political prisoners” by holding the banner “May the Daughter of U Aung San be Healthy”.
The strike aims to motivate the whole community not to cool off their blood by chanting slogans for the political prisoners and the general public who have been arrested and tortured inhumanely.
The strike was jointly marched by the Yangon Revolution Force-YRF (Soft Strike Community), the Yangon’s Rebels Strike Committee-YRSC, Revolution Force-RF, Burmese Youth Network, and the Basic Students’ Affairs Group.

A person in charge from Demoso Township Basic Education Students’ Union said, “Despite efforts by local civil society organizations to ensure that children have the basic right to education, they are facing a shortage of teaching aids. He also made a request to the general public to provide books and stationery for the children.”

A Karenni human rights activist said that hundreds of thousands of people have been displaced due to military violence in Karenni State, leaving many children without access to education. He also said that children’s access to education was tarnished by food insecurity, epidemics of the rainy season, and inadequate access to medicine and shelter.

The military council admitted children to their schools on 16 May, while the National Unity Government tried to provide online education. The military council has reopened schools, but they do not have enough education staff because most teachers are participating in CDM.
The NUG’s online education system was also not in a position of convenience for disadvantaged children and parents.

Political analysts review that it is too late to get on the path to dialogue because the military junta violated the 2008 constitution, failed to obey the ASEAN’s “Five-Point Consensus”, violently destroyed civilian property, shot, killed, tortured, and arrested civilian, sentenced Country’s Leaders to long prison terms, violated the Nationwide Ceasefire Agreement, and resorted to violence in ethnic areas.
