We will all have to work properly for effective administration. It is essential to strictly follow to the Planning and Finance Commission’s budgeting policy and the Ministry of Planning and budgeting Finance’s guidelines,” said the Acting President. Furthermore, the Acting President urged the government to prove its commitment with works in 2023 and to avoid words and actions that would upset the public.

2. All the revolutionary forces are trying to root out the military dictatorship, Union Prime Minister says

The Union Prime Minister said that all the revolutionary forces are trying to eradicate the military dictatorship. The Prime Minister stated this at the cabinet meeting held on January 3. It can be seen from the joint statement issued yesterday that the revolutionary forces are united and ready to resist the terrorist group. “All the revolutionary forces have a common goal, which is to overthrow the military dictatorship and work to permanently resolve Myanmar’s political issues, which have existed for more than 70 years. The National Unity Government and Ethnic Revolutionary Organizations such as the KNU and KIA are currently collaborating militarily and politically.

Union Minister said at the meeting between the Interim Local Public Administration Central Committee and Hluttaw Representative Committee in Magway, Mandalay and Yangon regions held on January 3.

“The main goal of the interim local administration is to quickly end the revolution and permanently change the administrative system. The Lion Battalion Commando informed that they are trying to recapture the military council’s 3rd strategic hill in Taungsun village, Payarthonesu township. The 4th day of intense fighting began on January 3rd, according to the Lion Battalion Commando. “Until now, we have successfully occupied two BGF camps under the terrorist military council in Taungsun village, Payarthonesu township. The Lion Battalion Commando strategic column, led by KawThooLei Army strategist Eh Say Wah, and other allied forces are attempting to recapture the terrorist military council’s 3rd strategic hill,” they said. 10. Four members of the terrorist military council die after the mine attack near Kalay township

People’s Defense Force (Kalay) informed the military news on January 3. “On the morning of January 2, approximately 60 terrorist military council forces marching from Kalay’s Pyinthar ward to the eastern part of Kalay township were attacked with four mines, prepared by the PDF (Kalay) mine force and joint Aung Myittar force,” they said. Four members of the terrorist military council may have been reportedly killed and many others injured in the mine explosion.

The PKPF reported in January that over 1600 military council soldiers were killed in more than 500 battles in Karenni State. “There were 544 battles in Karenni State from February 1, 2021, to December 31, 2022, killing 1,692 military council troops,” it described. Moreover, 58 vehicles from the military council were damaged due to the mine attack. According to the report, 293 civilians and other 126 people who fled the war were killed by the terrorist military council.
