1. Union Minister Dr. Zaw Wai Soe attends the ceremony of Myanmar medical diaspora in Perth, Australia
Dr. Zaw Wai Soe, Union Minister for Health and Education of the National Unity Government, attended the meeting and fundraising dinner with the Myanmar medical diaspora from Western Australia held in Perth, Australia, on the evening of August 26.
Union Minister Dr. Zaw Wai Soe delivered a speech at the ceremony in appreciation of the Myanmar doctors residing in various countries around the world, including Australia, for their contributions to the Spring Revolution in terms of manpower, intellectuals, and finances. The Union Minister then accepted the financial contributions made by the Myanmar medical diaspora for the Spring Revolution’s health care and education sectors.
The Union Minister and the Myanmar medical diaspora then had a cordial supper together.
2. NUG’s Ministry of Labour is to issue Spring Worker Support Cards for monthly financial supporters
The Ministry of Labour of the National Unity Government announced on August 31 that the Spring Worker Support Cards will be issued to the members of the support forces abroad who are active in Myanmar’s democracy affairs.
The programme is being carried out with six objectives: to be systematic and more effective in the support process; to ensure transparency and strengthen unity and trust; to establish a labour protection fund; to preserve a historical record for the democratic revolutionary support heroes and to provide the necessary protection and care for them in the future; to promote collaboration between government and organisations; and to contribute to the eradication of the military dictatorship as soon as possible and build a federal democratic union.

3. The NLD Central Women’s Work Committee conducts its ninth 2023 meeting
According to the release of the National League for Democracy (NLD) Yangon Region, the ninth 2023 meeting of the NLD Central Women’s Work Committee was conducted on September 1 via Zoom meeting platform.
It is stated that all members of the Central Women’s Work Committee were present at the meeting.
4. U Min Ko Naing says that while the fascist military was focused on its military issues, its financial stronghold collapsed
“The opposition of the populace, the systematic efforts of the multi-ethnic revolutionaries, and the various struggles of everyone who rejects military enslavement have brought about collective international financial measures,” U Min Ko Naing stated on social media on August 31.
“The fascist military group, whose financial stronghold collapsed while they were focused on military issues, knows themselves so well that it cannot be blatant like before anymore. They will not spare fuel, consumer goods, or crop traders because they will retaliate on nearby people like they used to do every time they are hit in the core,” said U Min Ko Naing while urging the traders to take the people’s side, saying, “Not taking the side of the people’s revolution at this kind of time is the same as waiting docilely.”
The military council is experiencing a foreign currency crisis due to the United States’s sanctions on its two banks, the MFTB and MICB.
The revolutionaries are urging the public to take part in the financial warfare and to boycott military-related products such as Myanmar Beer, Dagon Beer, and Ruby cigarettes.
5. Dawna Column of the People’s Defence Force (PDF) conducts the seventh medic training
On September 1, 2023, the People’s Defence Force (PDF) Dawna Column held the inauguration ceremony for the seventh batch of its first aid training course for combat medics.
At the ceremony, the commander of the Dawna Column and representatives of the local PDF forces spoke about the essential role of a combat medic in each unit and battalion.
Meanwhile, Comrade Thurein and Comrade Tayoke, who received honorary awards, shared the difficulties they encountered on the frontlines and the benefits they received from attending medical training.
6. Over 5,600 local residents from Bago’s Nyaunglebin District are forced to be displaced by the terrorist military’s heavy weapon firings and aerial attacks
According to the press release of the Karen National Union (KNU) News and Information Department dated September 1st, in Mone (Mu) Township and Shwegyin (Sawhti) Township of Bago’s Nyaunglebin (Kher Lwee Htoo) District, the terrorist military has been targeting civilians, deliberately firing heavy weapons, and conducting aerial attacks on the residential areas and workplaces where civilians work.
As a result, a civilian was injured, and a house was destroyed. Moreover, a total of 5,662 people from eight villages were forced to flee for their lives.
7. Yoma Column No. 2 of the People’s Defence Force (PDF) Special Commando Battalion and allied forces launch an offensive on the junta’s Sittaung River Bridge security checkpoint outpost and hideout
The Special Commando Battalion of the People’s Defence Force (PDF) Southern Military Region released a mission news statement on September 1.
According to the statement, between 4:10 a.m. and 5:30 a.m. on August 31, Yoma Column No. 2 of the People’s Defence Force (PDF) Special Commando Battalion and allied forces launched an offensive on the junta’s Sittaung River Bridge security checkpoint outpost and hideout location situated near Myo Soe village in Htantabin Township. The attack resulted in the deaths of eight junta members.
It was stated that the allied revolutionary forces were able to withdraw successfully without being harmed.
8. CDM employees win a jackpot of 100,000,000 kyats and other prizes in Draw 22 of the Spring Lottery (NUG Lottery)
An official of the CDM Success Committee told RadioNUG on the evening of August 31 that the CDM employees won the Spring Lottery (NUG Lottey) prizes:
“The CDM employees won one 100-lakh-kyat prize, three 15-lakh-kyat prizes, fifteen 5-lakh-kyat prizes, and sixty-seven 1-lakh-kyat prizes, respectively. They won prizes with the tickets received from the ‘Support One Spring Lottery Ticket for One CDM Employee’ campaign.”
The “Support One Spring Lottery Ticket for One CDM Employee” campaign is being organised by the NUG’s CDM Success Committee, and the NUG Finance Commission budgeted the campaign. There were also outside financial supporters who donated Spring Lottery tickets for the campaign to support the CDM employees.
In Draw 21 in July 2023, through this campaign, the CDM employees from the Ministry of Education (MoE), the Ministry of Communications, Information, and Technology (MoCIT), the Ministry of Commerce (MoC), the Ministry of Electricity and Energy (MoEE), the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environmental Conservation (MoNREC), and the Ministry of Information (MoI) each won a 1-lakh-kyat prize, a CDM employee from MoC won a 100-lakh-kyat prize, and two CDM employees from MoE and MoI each won a 15-lakh-prize, respectively.
The campaign is open to everyone who wants to support the CDM employees, and the CDM Success Committee will issue postcards in return as gifts for those who purchase and donate 10 lottery tickets or more.
