1. Acting President Duwa Lashi La says that the armed resistance war is progressing
Acting President Duwa Lashi La remarked the following about the progress of the revolution at the Cabinet Meeting No. 21/2023 of the National Unity Government:
“In the current situation, we are on a journey of armed resistance. As a result of the resistance war that has progressed to this day, we have been able to start administrative procedures in the territories of our allied resistance organisations. For example, I would like to refer to the emergence of administrative bodies such as the Karenni State Interim Executive Council (IEC), which was formed not long ago. I would like everyone to keep in mind that we have reached a situation where we are carrying out the revolution and the administration together.”
Furthermore, the Acting President went on to say that ethnic alliance relations need to be improved and foster greater trust since the revolution period.
2. Union Minister Dr. Sasa says that nearly 18 million people, including 5 million children, in Myanmar are in dire need of life-saving humanitarian aid
Dr. Sasa, Union Minister for International Cooperation of the National Unity Government, stated the following regarding the humanitarian need in Myanmar.
“Even before Cyclone Mocha, the humanitarian situation in Myanmar had worsened, with nearly 18 million people, including 5 million children, in dire need of life-saving humanitarian aid. Moreover, nearly 2 million people are displaced, more than 18 million are facing a humanitarian crisis, and 40 million are living in poverty. International intervention in this crisis is essential,” Union Minister Dr. Sasa said.
Dr. Sasa went on to state that the terrorist military council has exacerbated the situation by blocking humanitarian aid and using the hunger, pain, and suffering of people as weapons in its “four cuts” strategy.
3. Ambassador U Kyaw Moe Tun will meet with Spring Revolution families in United States
The New York City Burmese Community (NYCBC) announced that Ambassador U Kyaw Moe Tun, Permanent Representative of Myanmar to the United Nations, will have a meeting with Spring Revolution families in Utica, New York, on July 1, 2023, (Saturday) from 3:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. local time.
The meeting is organised by the United Hands for New Myanmar, which is based in Utica, and Myanmar revolutionary supporter families are invited.
Ambassador U Moe Kyaw Soe, as well as Union Minister Dr. Zaw Wai Soe, Union Minister U Htin Linn Aung, and Deputy Minister U Moe Zaw Oo, who are now in the United States, have recently been attending a series of community meetings.
4. Pint Thar village in Kanbalu Township was set on fire by terrorist military troops for the fifth time
The Kyunhla-Kanbalu Activist Group (Kanbalu District) reported the arson attacks carried out by the terrorist military in Kanbalu District’s Pint Thar village: “The combined force of about 150 terrorist military troops and Pyu Saw Htee members who left Kyun Hla Town at 5:00 a.m. on June 27 spent the night in Pint Thar village, and this morning, June 28, at 8:15 a.m., they set Pint Thar village on fire.”
Pint Thar village is a huge community with 635 dwellings, and this is the fifth time it has been set on fire. In the previous four arson attacks by the terrorist military, 150 houses were destroyed.
5. Ye Bhilu group ambushes a military truck patrolling in Ka Lot Kyi village, killing five junta soldiers
The leader and commander of the Ye Bhilu group said about the attack in Ka Lot Kyi village: “At 8:30 a.m. on June 28, in Ka Lot Kyi village, Ye Township, Mon State, the Ye Bhilu group managed to attack a military truck that came out to patrol from the No. 19 Military Operation Command (MOC-19) Headquarters.”
According to the Ye Bhilu group, there were about 15 troops in the truck, and five of them were killed in the attack.
In Mon State, the Ye Bhilu group carried out several missions in June and was able to seize a gun from a junta-backed militia and eliminate a total of seven members of the military council, including four troops and two veterans.
6. The Albino Tiger Column’s Company No. 5 (Justice Soldier PDF) recruits new trainees for its batch-6 boot camp
In the final week of June, the Justice Soldier PDF announced the recruitment of new trainees for its batch-6 boot camp.
The Justice Soldier PDF stated that it had completed batch-5 boot camp successfully and was recruiting new trainees for batch-6, and hence, interested persons between the ages of 18 and 30, in good health, could apply for it.
