On June 29, on the special occasion of Muslims, Eid al-Adha, Union Prime Minister Mahn Winn Khaing Thann posted Eid greetings on social media and expressed wishes for Muslims to be healthy and full of happiness.
The National Unity Government also sent an Eid al-Adha message statement, wishing all Myanmar Muslims happiness on the special occasion of Eid al-Adha. The NUG expressed its pride in the Muslims people in Myanmar for their taking part in the building of a federal democratic union and urged them, together with the entire people, to continue to participate in the elimination of the military dictatorship and the construction of a federal democratic union that ensures equal rights for all races and religions, with diversities.

The National Unity Consultative Council (NUCC) issued a statement on June 29 to welcome the US-India Joint Statement, in which the two leaders expressed their concern about the “deteriorating situation in Myanmar,” and called for the “release of all those arbitrarily detained, the establishment of constructive dialogue, and the transition of Myanmar toward an inclusive federal democratic system.”
“The National Unity Consultative Council NUCC congratulates President Joseph R. Biden, Jr. and Prime Minister Narendra Modi on their affirming a vision by a partnership of democracies that looked into the 21st century with hope, ambition, and confidence,” the NUCC statement said.
The NUCC called upon President Biden and Prime Minister Modi to officially recognise the National Unity Government (NUG) as the “true people’s government,” to work towards a free, open, inclusive, and resilient Indo-Pacific for the benefit of the “global good” through a variety of multilateral and regional groupings, and to aid in the liberation of Myanmar from the yoke of a terrorist military dictatorship.
The NUCC stated that it will strongly support “the implementation of practical and more effective cooperation between the governments of the United States of America and the People’s Republic of India and the National Unity Government (NUG) for the eradication of military dictatorship and the restoration of democracy in Myanmar.”

According to the revolutionary groups, members of the military council who came to inspect the destruction of Kyone Eait Bridge near Bilin Town were attacked again on the morning of June 29.
“This morning, the members of the military council who came to inspect the destruction of Kyone Eait Bridge beyond Shwe Yaung Pya village near Bilin Town between Thaton Township and Bilin Township were attacked again, resulting in many deaths and injuries,” they said.
The precise number of causalities is not yet known.
Kyone Eait Bridge is located on the Yangon-Mawlamyine highway in Mon State’s Bilin Township.
