1. The Union Prime Minister expresses his gratitude to the individuals who have purchased Spring Inya condo units domestically and internationally

At a Cabinet Meeting held in May, Union Prime Minister Mahn Winn Khaing Thann expressed his gratitude to the people who have purchased Spring Inya condo units domestically and internationally as follows:

“I would like to express my heartfelt gratitude to the people at home and abroad who purchased the units of the Spring Inya condo, one of the projects of the End of Dictatorship (EOD) initiative, and contributed to the more than $6 million raised in the first 12 hours of its sale. As I thank all the people at home and abroad who contributed the needed funds at this crucial time of the revolution, I also would like to express my gratitude to all those in charge of the Ministry of Planning, Finance and Investment who have managed these fundraising activities despite challenges.”

The sale of the Spring Inya condominium units began on April 29, and they were sold in instalments to be paid for throughout the revolution.

Spring Inya condominium is a project that will be constructed on a site next to U Tun Nyein Road that is part of 30 acres of terrorist military-owned land on Parami Road after confiscating it in accordance with the law.

2. The National Unity Government asserts that it is striving to obstruct and take control of the enemy’s strategic communication routes as well as threaten urban areas where the terrorist regime group is present

The National Unity Government disclosed its military strategy as follows on May 3 in the report to the public marking its second anniversary: “Based on the guerrilla warfare ethos of village-based forces encircling towns, we have been able to make territorial gains in villages and village tracts with the aim of threatening townships and districts held by the enemy and disrupting their line of communications and chain of command as the next step. What   started as a phase of strategic defence, has now progressed to the phase of strategic equilibrium.”

Regarding the collection of taxes and fines in the governed areas, the report stated: “After the development of Interim Local Public Administration Central Committee and its policy advancement in September 2021, to date the NUG has been able to establish Township People’s Administration in 171 Townships in the NUG controlled Free Zones and District level Administrations in 10 districts as well. 3. Union Minister Dr. Sasa says that the junta leaders are terrorists who harm the interests of China

At the CDM People’s Soldiers Webinar “Revolution against the Terrorist Military, Fight against Fascism,” organised by the People’s Goal on May 3, Union Minister Dr. Sasa remarked:

“The leaders of the terrorist military are terrorists who are really hurting the interests of China. China is aware of this. The entire world is aware of this.”

At present, foreign investments are continuously leaving Myanmar, unemployment rates are rising, and electricity shortages are occurring.

4. Up until now, military ground forces have been encroaching on the villages around Pazigyi village, forcing locals to evacuate to various places of safety

According to the statement issued by the Ministry of Humanitarian Affairs and Disaster Management on May 3, locals are forced to be displaced as a result of the continuous invading of the military ground forces into the villages around Pazigyi village in Kanbalu Township.

“The military ground forces have been continuing to invade nearby villages of Pazigyi village up until now, and they have burned down more than 100 houses in two villages. In some villages, it is difficult to collect lists of houses that have been burned down by the military because the military columns are still advancing. In addition, local residents are being forced to flee to places of safety,” said the statement.

Under the supervision of the ministries, Kanbalu Township Administration and the Emergency Response and Relief Committee, in coordination with community-based organisations, are working on people-to-people donations for the rehabilitation of the people who were affected by the Pazigyi air attack and subsequent ground invasions by the military, according to the statement.

5. The National Unity Government announces that actions are being taken against the murder committed by some members of the Village People’s Defence Team in Chaung-U Township, Sagaing Division

On May 4, the four ministries of the National Unity Government issued a joint statement on action taken against the murder committed some members of the Village People’s Defence Team in Chaung-U Township, Sagaing Division.

On August 8, 2022, in Chaung-U Township, Sagaing Division, three males (one adult and two adolescents) and four females (one adult and three adolescents), a total of seven people who were purported to be informants of the terrorist military council, were arrested by the Village People’s Defence Team (Village PaKaHpa) responsible person and his team. Subsequently, on August 30, 2022, they were all unlawfully killed.

According to the statement, the Township People’s Defence Team (Township PaKaHpa) immediately took action to arrest four members of the Village PaKaHpa on August 30, 2022, and the remains of victims were excavated and the necessary investigations carried out on August 31, 2022. The Chaung-U Township PaKaHpa transferred them to the Chaung-U Township People’s Administration Team (Township PaAHpa) on September 22, 2022, which then cooperated with the Chaung-U Township People’s Security Team (Township PaLaHpa) to open a case and detain them separately.

The National Unity Government’s Ministry of Women, Youths and Children’s Affairs also started working on the case, in cooperation with the Ministry of Defence, the Ministry of Home Affairs and Immigration, the Ministry of Justice, regional defence teams, people’s security teams, and people’s administration teams, to take legal action as soon as a complaint was received on January 26, 2023, the statement said.

“This incident not only breaches the military’s Code of Conduct but also violates women’s and children’s rights and human rights. Using the military/civilian judicial platforms, the National Unity Government is consistently working to reveal the truth and to take legal actions as soon as possible in accordance with the law, and we will inform you about the progress of the actions taken,” said the statement.

6. The military troops destroy the village school in Char Thar village in Ye-U Township by using mines

On May 4, the Ye-U Township Refugee Support Team reported: “This morning, the military troops that came from Myin Pauk village in the western part of Ye-U Township and invaded Chan Thar village blasted the village school in Char Thar village and started to set it on fire.”

The Ye-U Township Refugee Support Team additionally cautioned residents of nearby villages to escape safely since military troops were deployed in Htan Pin Kone, Chan Thar, and Ywar Thit villages.

The terrorist military forces have burned down more than 60,000 houses and killed more than 3,000 people throughout the country.

7. A military convoy of three trucks that departed from Sagaing to Mongwa carrying over 90 soldiers was attacked with mines in Myinmu, Sagaing Division

The People’s knight Defense Force (Myinmu) released the following information regarding its attack on a military convoy carrying over 90 soldiers on May 4:

“On the morning of May 4, the PDF alliance forces such as the People’s knight Defense Force Myinmu (PKDF-MMU), the Dog Killers Defense Force (DKPDF-MMU), and D.B.B.F-MMU used mines to attack twice the three military vehicles carrying over 90 soldiers when they arrived between Wan Pyae village and Allakappa village.”

Two of the three military trucks were reportedly hit by mines during the attacks, with the possibility of casualties among the soldiers onboard.
