11. Eight Junta Soldiers Killed in Oak Pin Su Village Clash, Weapons Seized
June 15 –
In Oak Pin Su Village, Kyaukkyi Township, Bago Region, a clash broke out on June 6, 2025, between over 30 junta troops stationed in the village and resistance forces. The Special Commando Battalion – P29914 reported that intense gunfire was exchanged and the resistance forces successfully took control of Oak Pin Su Village.
During the battle, junta artillery support came from Natthankwin and Kyaukkyi townships.
Eight junta bodies were discovered (witness-confirmed), with many more possibly wounded. Four resistance fighters (one from the Special Commando Battalion and three from allied groups) were injured, but their injuries were not serious.
Seized items from the junta side include:
- 580 rounds of G3 ammunition
- 10 rounds of 40mm grenades
- 11 RPG propellants
- 9 RPG warheads
- 7 MA rifle grenades
- 1 RPG-7 launcher
- 1 MA11 rifle
- 5 hand grenades
- 7 anti-personnel mines
- 3 directional mines
- 3 MA rifle magazines
- 1 mine detector
- Additional military supplies
This operation was conducted jointly by:
- Special Commando Battalion P29914
- KNLA Battalions 8 and 9
- Aalawaka force
- Battalion 3702
- Yangon PDF and Ayeyarwaddy PDF.
2. Four Junta Soldiers Killed in Chauk Township Resistance Attack
June 15
In Chauk Township, Magway Region, junta troops advancing toward Kine Htauk Kan Village and nearby villages were ambushed by joint resistance forces, according to the Aalawaka Urban Guerrilla Force.
The resistance reported that 4 junta soldiers were killed and 11 were wounded.
They also stated that junta forces captured a local youth and used him as a guide, later torturing and killing him. Additionally, a civilian home and a vehicle were set on fire.
This operation was carried out by:

- Allied resistance forces in Chauk Township.
3. Junta Airstrike on Than Nu Taw Village Injures 6 Civilians
June 15
Than Nu Taw Village in Myaing Township, Magway Region, was bombed by junta helicopters from Infantry Division 101 based in Pakokku, according to We Love Myaing.
At 2:15 PM on June 15, two helicopters dropped two unexploded bombs on the village.
As a result, six civilians were injured — two men and four women, with two women in critical condition.
Additionally, two cows were killed, and two houses and a paddy storage were damaged.
4. One Civilian Killed, Four Injured in Junta Artillery Attack on Kyaikto Township
June 15
On June 11 at 5:30 PM, junta forces from Infantry Battalion 3, based in Kyaikto Township, Thaton District, fired three artillery shells into Alu Gyi Village. One shell exploded in the village, killing Sao Ngwe Lar (34).
Four others, including Sao Aung Bo Bo, were wounded.
Damage included:
- Two houses (belonging to Sao Soe Gyi and Sao Htun Hlaing)
- One vehicle
Furthermore, junta forces stationed near Phayar Village (under Light Infantry Division 44) continue to indiscriminately shell residential areas in Melan region, according to KNU Central News on June 15.
5. ACDF Holds Graduation Ceremony for 6th Basic Military Training Course
June 15
The Achin Chin Defense Force (ACDF) successfully held its graduation ceremony for the 6th Basic Military Training Course, along with an oath-taking ceremony.
The event was held on June 10 at the ACDF rear training base and was attended by ACDF central committee members, battalion commanders, and representatives from allied organizations.
Weapons seized included five MA-1 rifles, three MA-3 rifles, and assorted ammunition.
CDF–Asho stated the captured soldiers were forcibly conscripted under the junta’s military conscription law.
6. SNA Soldier Defects with Weapon to Katha District Defense Force
June 15
A soldier from the junta-aligned SNA (People’s Militia), Division 614, defected to the Katha District Battalion (4) under the Ministry of Defense of the National Unity Government.
The defector brought with him:
- One M23 rifle
- Ammunition
He was awarded a cash reward of MMK 1.5 million (approx. USD 700).
The reward was jointly provided by:
- Katha District Battalion (4)
- Local administrative departments in Banmauk Township
- Supporting civilians
