1. Mandalay PDF participating in the Mogok city capture operation released photos of the battle
Mandalay People’s Defence Force – Mandalay PDF reported that the allied joint forces led by the People’s Defence Force (Mandalay) and Ta’ang National Liberation Army (TNLA) were able to take over Mogok town completely at 5:00 p.m. on July 24, 2024, and in the Mogok operations, the Drone Unit of the People’s Defense Army (Mandalay) has been able to coordinate operations with the allies in a balanced manner.
Mogok is the third town captured by the People’s Defence Force (Mandalay) in addition to Nawnghkio and Singu.
2. KIA and joint forces captured the Twin Nge police station in Thabeikkyin Township
According to military news sources, KIA and joint forces attacked and captured the Twin Nge police station in Thabeikkyin Township, Mandalay Division, at around 11:20 a.m. on July 25.
It is reported that KIA, KPDF, and ABSDF cooperatively attacked and captured the police station, seizing weapons, ammunition, and cars.
3. Fighting continued in the towns of Nawnghkio and Momeik
Ta’ang National Liberation Army (TNLA) reported that on July 25, at 2:50 p.m. on Monday, a battle broke out with the military council troops that had reinforced Yephyu Village in the Nawnghkio of Ta’ang State Brigade (2) area.
Similarly, the Ta’ang Army TNLA attacked the Momeik Strategic Hill, the remaining military camp of the military council in Momeik Town in the Brigade 3 area, at 5:16 p.m. In addition, it was announced that the Military Council dropped weapons and ammunition with Y12 aircraft on the strategic hill.
4. During one month of 1027 Operation Phase-2, 125 civilians were killed and 167 were injured due to aerial bombardments and artillery fire by the Military Council
Ta’ang National Liberation Army (TNLA) announced that June 25 is the day reaching one month since the PSLF/TNLA and allied forces launched the Second Phase of 1027 Operation on June 25. During a month of fighting, 125 civilians were killed and 167 were injured, and 93 houses, 8 monasteries, and 7 schools were damaged due to aerial bombardments and artillery fire by the Military Council.
In Kyaukme Township, 14 women, and 24 men were killed; 15 men, 21 women, and 4 children were injured; and 37 civilian houses, 2 monasteries, and 2 schools were destroyed due to aerial bombardments and artillery fire by the Military Council within one month. In Nawnghkio Township, 10 men and 8 women were killed; 3 women and 1 man were injured; and 13 civilian houses, 1 monastery, and 1 school were damaged. In Mogok Township, 8 women, 9 children, and 11 men were killed; 26 men, 22 women, and 10 children were injured; and 29 civilian houses and 2 monasteries were damaged. In Momeik Township, 1 man and 2 women were killed; 8 men and 4 women were injured; and 5 civilian houses and 2 schools were damaged. Similarly, in Lashio city, 21 men, 12 women, and 5 children were killed; 27 men and 21 women were injured; and 9 civilian houses, 3 monasteries, and 2 schools were damaged. It was also reported that 5 civilians were injured by shrapnel in Hsipaw Town.
During one month of the operation, more than 30,000 local residents were forced to flee due to the military council’s aerial bombardments and artillery firing as they were defeated.
5. PSLF/TNLA sends a message of condolence over the passing away of KNU’s model leader Padoh Nawsi Porasain
Palaung State Liberation Front/Ta’ang National Liberation Army (PSLF/TNLA) sent a message of condolence over the passing away of the Karen National Union – KNU’s good leader and model leader of the Karen people, Padoh Nawsi Porasain, at the age of 69, and expressed its deepest condolence along with the family members and Karen people.
It stated in the condolence message: that it is an indescribable loss to lose a good leader who has a strong position at a time to demolish the military dictatorship completely and when everyone is still working together to build a federal democratic union; that they will always remember and record the leadership of Padoh Nawsi Porasain, who held the high responsibilities of KNU Vice President and General Secretary, who had worked on Myanmar women’s issues, and the entire Myanmar ethnic population’s issues in addition to Karen women’s issues and Karen people’s issues; that the good leaders of the revolution will be enshrined in purity and dignity, and will remain in the hearts of the people; and that they hoped her soul may rest in peace.
6. A military council soldier and a policeman from Thantlang defected to the Chinland Government along with weapons
Chinland Defense Force Thantlang reported that a military council soldier and a policeman from Thantlang defected to the Chinland Government along with weapons and ammunition on July 25 as they no longer wanted to serve the terrorist junta and admitted to participating in the people’s revolution. They brought one MA 2 gun, one G3 gun, 8 cartridges, 185 rounds of ammunition, 1 grenade, 2 40 mm grenades, and a bulletproof vest along with them. It is reported that the defected two military council members were given a reward of 50 lakhs kyats each and were taken to a safe place.
The government forces of Chinland Council are engaged in Tilim Operation 4, and anyone who is willing to participate in the people’s revolution, is always welcome.
