1. A clash broke out with the military while the revolutionary forces arrested non-CDM staff from revenue and immigration departments in Sagaing
It is reported that while the revolutionary forces arrested non-CDM staff from revenue and immigration departments at around 4:00 p.m. on May 21, a clash broke out with the military, killing 5 people including the deputy staff officer of revenue, immigration staff, and PDF members.
The clash with the military broke out on the way back after the Taw Twin Tutpi (LPDF) force arrested non-CDM staff of the revenue department and immigration department, and a total of 5 people, 3 men and 2 women, including non-CDM deputy staff officer of the revenue department, immigration staff, and PDF members, due to the firing by the military.
In a press release from the military council, 7 men came to attack the immigration office and the township revenue office in Parami Ward of Sagaing. After clearing them upon receiving the information, the bodies of 3 men and 2 women aged around 35 years, one MA-13 (R-48567), one pistol and ammunition, a car, and a motorcycle were reportedly seized.
2. 3 junta soldiers who came out to clear mines for copper trucks off the road were shot, killing 2 soldiers
BRAVEHEART ARMY-BHA reported that on May 21, 3 junta soldiers stationed at the fire station in Chaung U Township were attacked while they came out to clear mines for copper trucks off the road.
BRAVE HEART ARMY-BHA comrades ambushed these 3 junta soldiers, killing 2 and 1 escaping. During the battle, 2 MA11 and 3 magazines, 1 hand grenade, 40 rounds of 5.56 ammunition, and 2 helmets were seized.
BHA expressed thanks to MONYWA SPECIAL Date Date Kyae and Youth Revolution Attack Force for helping and renting guns due to the smaller number of weapons of its force in carrying out the mission.
3. 17 junta soldiers were killed in an attack on the Lin Zin police station and the military council troops that came to reinforce
Midland Dolphins Column – MLDC announced that 17 junta soldiers were killed in an attack on the Lin Zin police station and the military council troops that came to reinforce them in Salin Township, Magway Division.
It is said that the revolutionary forces started attacking Lin Zin Police Station in Salin Township at about 5:00 a.m. on May 18 with RPGs and small arms. The exchange of fire lasted about 2 hours. In this battle, 11 junta soldiers were killed. Though revolutionary forces were able to seize 3 bunkers inside the police station, they had to retreat due to insufficient ammunition and the arrival of reinforcements from the junta. The junta reinforcements coming to reinforce the Lin Zin police station were also intercepted, killing 6 more junta soldiers.
The attack was carried out cooperatively by the Midland Dolphins Column-MLDC, SLN-LPDF, Generation-Z Army, Daung Sit Aung, Thunder Guerrilla Force, Salin PaKaFa, and Minbu District Battalions 1, 4, and 5, and 2 people’s defense comrades were reportedly injured.
4. A 4 million kyat fund is needed to buy 4 months of rice in the rainy season for the comrades of Pakokku District Battalion 11
It is reported that a 4 million kyat fund is needed to buy 4 months of rice for the comrades of Pakokku District Battalion 11. On May 22, Pakokku District Battalion 11 appealed to the public.
“We only eat 2 meals a day. If we don’t have bullets, we can still attack with mines. If we don’t have rice, it’s not easy for our comrades to continue working because we don’t have the strength. We still need about 4 million kyat to buy rice for 4 months in the rainy season,” it stated. It is said that the region is war-torn, so it is in a situation with no public support.
