“The Kayan people start New Year’s Day with a Feast of the First Crop where the festival is held in order to preserve literature, cultural traditions and music. Due to the offensive attacks of the terrorist military in various parts of Myanmar, no commemorative festival can be held today, and people have to flee to safe places and shelter in great suffering.

However, because all ethnic groups from all over Myanmar, including the Kayan ethnic groups, are united in their revolutionary attack against the terrorist military, we are seeing the fruits of the revolutionary victory that we have cultivated for almost 3 years, and we will certainly enjoy the victory in the near future.

In the period when the goal of eradicating the military dictatorship is about to be reached, we are sending a New Year’s message wishing to work together more closely with the Kayan ethnic groups and enjoy the fruits of the revolutionary victory for the construction of a future federal democratic union,” the NUG stated.

2. The Interim Local Administration Central Committee (ILACC) held a meeting with the township people’s administrative bodies of Mandalay and Magway Divisions

On December 13, the meeting between the NUG’s Interim Local Administration Central Committee (ILACC) and the township people’s administrative bodies of Mandalay and Magway Divisions (44/2023) was held.

At the meeting, Union Minister for Labour U Nai Tun Pe @ U Nai Suwunna and Deputy Dr. Ngai Tam Maung, Ministry of Humanitarian Affairs and Disaster Management (MOHADM), who are members of the ILACC, gave opening speeches and greeted.

Following, officials from ministries explained the activities of relevant ministries, and then members of the township people’s administrative bodies exchanged views with relevant officials regarding policies, directions, activities, and challenges encountered on the ground.

Led by Union Minister U Nai Suwunna, the meeting was attended by Union Ministers, Deputy Ministers, Permanent Secretaries, Associate Secretaries, officials from ministries, and members of the township people’s administrative bodies of Mandalay and Magway Divisions.

3. Deputy Minister of Defence Nai Kao Rot met with the comrades of the allied forces, including the Mon State Revolution Force MSRF, in the southern part of Ye Township in Mon State

The Mon State Revolution Force – MSRF informed that the Deputy Minister of Defence, Nai Kao Rot, met with the revolutionary allied forces in the southern part of Ye Township on December 11.

At the meeting, it was reported that Deputy Minister of Defence Nai Kaung Rot also encouraged the morale of the comrades who have experienced many successes and losses in the past 3 years.

In the meeting with Deputy Minister of Defence Nai Kao Rot, the allied revolutionary forces such as Mon State Revolution Force – MSRF, Dawna Column, ABSDF Battalion – 1, Ye Guerrilla Force – YGF, Ye Defense Force – YDF, Mon State Revolutions Organization – MSRO, Ye Air Force – YAF participated. Officials from the Southern Military Region of the Ministry of Defence also participated, and they discussed the needs of the comrades.

On November 30, the revolutionary alliance forces vowed to fight to the end to eradicate the military dictatorship and all tyranny.

4. As only 6 percent of the $250,000 required by the “Federal Net Campaign” has been raised, the public is urged to help

As only 6 percent of the $250,000 required by the “Federal Net Campaign” has been raised, the Federal Net Campaign urged the public to help out on December 13.

“Federal Net Campaign has reached Day 23. As of today, only [6%] of the required 250,000 USD target has been achieved. If you look at the table showing the status of participation by country, you can see that there is still a long way to go to reach the campaign target. The campaign period is until January 15. As usual, Singapore and Myanmar are leading the way, and the rest of South Korea, Malaysia, People from Asia, America, and Europe are slow to move, so please help in encouraging to achieve the target,” it stated.

For the initial installation of the Federal Net Campaign, 0.25 million US dollars will be needed for 5 townships.

The Ministry of Communications, Information and Technology (MOCIT) of the National Unity Government is working on the “Federal Net Campaign” with the aim of expanding internet installation in 5 townships. People can participate in the campaign through international fundraisers and through the ministry’s social media link.

5. The 3 Brotherhood Alliances stated that they would retaliate against the military council that was targeting the public

On December 13, the 3 Brotherhood Alliances announced that they would retaliate against the terrorist military council troops who are targeting the public, arresting them and conducting arson.

The 3 Brotherhood Alliances have issued a statement regarding the terrorist military’s airstrikes and heavy weapons on civilian areas in some townships in northern Shan State, and the land, waterway and air attacks in Rakhine State.

The 3 Brotherhood Alliances stated that the military council, which had lost important military bases and economic centers, was targeting civilians.

In addition to the use of air strikes and heavy artillery shelling, the military council has been conducting frequent offensive attacks from the sea in Rakhine State.

In some towns in the Rakhine State, the military council has foolishly burned down entire villages and even the town’s markets.

In addition, the military council is targeting innocent civilians every day, cutting roads and waterways, cutting off the flow of goods, accusing civilians of being related to their groups and hunting down and arresting them as a way of punishing the public.

Therefore, as 3 Brotherhood Alliances; Kokang armed force MNDAA, Ta’ang Army TNLA, and Arakan Army AA, have announced that they will retaliate against the military council army that is targeting the public. 

6. 5 junta soldiers including an officer were killed and many were injured in a drone attack on officers’ avenues and important places in Northwestern Military Regional Command (RMC) in Monywa (NaMaKha)

In the evening of December 13, KLG-PDF announced that 5 junta soldiers, including an officer, were killed and many were injured in a drone attack on the Officer’s Avenue and important places in Monywa, Sagaing Region. 

On December 12 at around 4:00 p.m., as part of Operation Daung Taman, the Army Sub-Mechanical Weapons Storage Facility Battalion-747 (SaNaKha) inside Northwestern RMC in Monywa (NaMaKha), and other important places, including the Northwestern RMC Military Officer’s Residence, were attacked at the same time. As a result of the attack, the military office, the temporary air force officer’s residence, the fuel storage tank, and the runway of Monywa Airport, where helicopters take off, were reported to have been damaged.

It is reported that the temporary air force officer’s residence is the residence of the Air Traffic Control (ATC) center staff and Mi-35 and Mi-17 pilot/crew of the Monywa Northwestern RMC’s temporary air force, which is constantly conducting airstrikes on Kachin, Sagaing, Chin, and Magway.

After the attack by the people’s defense forces, an ambulance from the NaMaKha military hospital entered the compound and there was returned fire with 60 mm, 81 mm and 105 mm Howitzer cannons, including machine guns and small arms, from inside the NaMaKha, KLG-PDF Kyauk Long Kyi stated.

According to subsequent reports, at least 5 junta soldiers were killed in the district office and Officer Avenue due to the attack, and the injured were sent to the hospital.

Under the leadership of Battalion-21, 22, and 23 (KLG PDF – Kyauk Lone Gyi) of Yinmarbin District, Team-3 PDAF and Team-4 SSTF of Shar Htoo Waw Technical Force, and Salingyi Township PaKaFa cooperated in the operation.

The comrades on the ground have urged the public to help and support as much as possible so that such operations can continue.

7. The Nyaung Pin Thar Police Station in Phyu Township and the Phayarngarzu Police Outpost near Ka Nyut Kwin, killing about 40 junta soldiers and seizing weapons and ammunition

The revolutionary forces reported that they attacked and captured the Nyaung Pin Thar Police Station in Phyu Township and the Phayarngarzu Police Outpost near Ka Nyut Kwin, killing about 40 junta soldiers and seizing weapons and ammunition.

On December 13, the Nyaung Pin Thar Police Station located on the Yangon-Mandalay road in Phyu Township was attacked by the Yoma Column-1 (Alawaka Column), Royal Peacock Column, BPLA and KNLA joint columns at 4:15 a.m., and they were able to completely occupy the police station at about 5:00 a.m.

The Royal Peacock Column informed that about 30 of the 60 military council troops at the Nyaung Pin Thar Police Station were killed, the rest fled, and the captured camp was set on fire.

Similarly, the KNLA and PDF joint forces attacked and occupied the Phayarngarzu Police Outpost near Ka Nyut Kwin in Phyu Township at about 1 a.m. on December 13, killing 7 policemen and seizing weapons and ammunition. The revolutionary forces also informed that 7 policemen were killed and 6 guns and ammunition were seized in the attack on the police post.

8. During November, there were 18,944 support comrades who served and about US$ 638,954.23 of funds were received 

According to the People’s Revolution Suppy Family (PRF), there were 18,944 support troops who served in November, and the amount of funds received was about US$638,954.23.

“The People’s Revolutionary Supply Family (PRF) had 18,944 support troops who served in November, and received approximately US$638,954.23 in funding,” PRF stated.

During the month of November, the services will be used for the 19th shipment of food and general expenses of the PDF battalions/columns, and when they are in possession of the People’s Defense Forces, they will be reported back through the PRF pages.

The regions that received the most aid in November were 1,534 support troops for Sagaing Division with approximately 44,623.19 US dollars, 1,080 support troops for Yangon Region with approximately 36,183.07 US dollars, and 1,240 support troops for Tanintharyi Region with approximately 21,337.79 US dollars.

PRF also stated, “We respect and honor all the members of the People’s Revolution Supply Family who participated in this revolution together with the People’s Defense Forces.
