1. The Acting President sent a message that it is time to watch and work with great caution against the “trap” of the fascist military 

On August 27, Acting President of the National Unity Government Duwa Lashi La said this in a message to the people.

“It is clearly seen that the fascist military is trying to cause internal division among the ethnic groups in various ways, as they usually do, like an elephant in the field. Therefore, it is time for all of us to watch the fascist military’s “trap” and work with great caution,” the Acting President said.

Currently, the terrorist military council is using various political tricks and is showing signs of holding fake elections.

2. The position of the country of Timor-Leste will always be gratefully remembered as a beacon of good friends whose value cannot be estimated

NUG Foreign Minister Daw Zin Mar Aung announced on social media on August 27 that the position of Timor-Leste will be gratefully remembered forever as a beacon of good friends whose value cannot be estimated.

“The terrorist military council, which has seized the sovereignty of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar by violence and illegally, forced the Timor-Leste diplomats who were serving bilateral relations in Yangon, to leave Yangon on September 1.

The President of Timor-Leste does not flinch at this violent and illegal pressure and is proud that Timor-Leste is not treated with the utmost care by the barbarians who could do nothing but use excessive force outside the law.

I would like to state that the position of Timor-Leste will always be gratefully remembered as an invaluable example of good friends when the people of Myanmar are going through the most difficult period of the Spring Rrevolution,” Foreign Minister posted.

3. The CRPH Education Committee held a meeting with the Township Boards of Education in Kachin State regarding the education sector being carried out on the ground

The Education Committee of the Committee Representing Pyidaungsu Hluttaw (CRPH) held a meeting with Township Boards of Education in Kachin State regarding the education sector on August 26 via video conference.

During the meeting, the Chairman of the Education Committee expressed his gratitude to the Township Boards of Education for attending the meeting despite the difficulties, and said that he is happy to meet them and wish them safety.

After that, the Township Boards of Education in Kachin State discussed the difficulties they are facing in terms of opening schools on the ground, the status of recognition for CDMs and students in the interim period, the status of the connection between the Education Committee and the Ministry of Education, and the status of support.

The meeting was attended by the Chairman of the Education Committee, U Robert Nyeye, secretary and members, U Win Naing, a member of the Committee Representing Kachin State, and the Township Boards of Education in Kachin State.

4. Taze Township People’s Administration appeals to the public to participate in the financial warfare that is destroying the military council’s financial system by boycotting and not using illegal 20,000-kyat banknotes

On August 27, Taze Township PaAFa issued a notice to the public regarding 20,000 kyats worth of illegal currency.

“Due to the 20,000 kyat worth banknotes issued by the illegal military council, inflation and high commodity prices may lead to more poverty among the people, and the military council’s income will increase, and they may carry out more violent arsons and killings of people’s lives and belongings,” it stated.

Therefore, the public is requested to join hands in the financial warfare that is destroying the military council’s financial system by boycotting, not using, or keeping illegal 20,000 kyat banknotes in their hands.

5. The junta soldiers that burned civilian houses and killed the people from Sagaing Township came to the western side of Wetlet Township, and killed 1 woman (after being raped) and 3 men

Wetlet Informational Network informed about the event on August 27.

“On August 25, the junta column that was invading Thein Kyaung, north of Sadaung Village, Sagaing Township, arrived at Mingalar Yay Sin Village, west of Wetlet Township, and spent the night in Ywar Thar Gyi Village. On August 26, at around 4:00 a.m., they left Ywar Thar Gyi Village to the north and entered Kyee Kan North Village. They took 51,500,000 kyats from 2 villagers and 400,000 kyats, 1 gold chain, and at least 20 phones from others. One woman in her 20s and 3 men in their 50s were also arrested. They violently raped the arrested woman in a mango farm between Kyee Kan Myauk Village and Hla Taw Village and her killed by slitting her neck. The three men were also killed with a knife,” it stated.

On August 27, at around 5:00 a.m., the junta soldiers came out to the east of Hla Taw Village, fired large and small arms into Pin Zin Village, and then entered Wetlet Town.

6. Bombs were dropped by a drone on the military council camps stationed on the side of Asia Road entering Kawkareik Town and in Kawt Nwet Village

On August 27, Cloud Wings announced the military news.

“Karen National Liberation Army KNLA, Cloud Wings drone unit, and Special Operation Group cooperatively attacked the military council camp stationed in the compound of an under-construction gas station next to Asia Road in Kawkareik, which provides security for the town and Asia Road, and the military council camp stationed in Kawt Nwet Village on August 26 around 8:20 a.m. and 9:30 a.m., using 107mm and 60mm bombs,” it stated.

As a result of the attack, about 5 junta soldiers were killed and about 10 were seriously injured.

Due to the reckless firing of at least 50 rounds of 120 mm and 81 mm heavy weapons by the enemy junta soldiers, a villager was hit and injured. KNLA, Cloud Wings, and SOG joint forces did not report any loss of human life, ammunition, or materials.

7. Defense forces fired RPGs at the 3 military council vessels that came out of Monywa’s Min Htauk Bridge near the Chindwin River

The MSPDF confirmed on August 27 that defense forces fired RPGs at the 3 military council vessels coming out of Monywa’s Min Htauk Bridge near the Chindwin River.

“On August 25, at about 11:20 am, 3 military council vessels that came out of Monywa’s Min Htauk Bridge were ambushed and fired by Sagaing District Battalion 4-MSPDF, along with Myingyan District Battalion 3, and Myingyan District Battalion 8 near the Chindwin River, using RPGs, MSPDF’s handmade rockets, and various small arms,” it stated.

It is reported that the military council side may have been injured in the shooting attack, which is still under investigation.

The military council forces returned fire with small arms, but the People’s Defense comrades were able to retreat without being harmed at all.

On August 26, THE WAY film was premiered to a full house in Sacramento, California, the United States.

“At the premiere, we sang the chorus of the award-winning theme song verse of “The Way” with the revolutionary people, and we will never forget the great memory. We really respect and thank the revolutionary people of Sacramento who participated in bidding on some of the items related to the musical film. “The WAY” team will send donations for the education and health care of the children and grandparents in the war-evading areas,” it stated.

All Myanmar community in Sacramento attended the event, and the audience was entertained with traditional ethnic dances, songs, and games before the film.
