At the (26/2023) cabinet meeting of the National Unity Government held on August 1, Acting President Duwa Lashi La said, “Protecting public interests is one of the main responsibilities of the National Unity Government.”
“We are a revolutionary government that prioritizes the interests of the people first. Protecting the interests of the people is our main responsibility. Moreover, cooperation with the forces of the People’s soldiers is one of the main processes that we have to do. Therefore, the emergence of a large number of people who want the people’s interests in society is also a political process. We must be able to prove it and organize the public with the right actions. In addition, we must also organize and mobilize communities from the enemy’s side to become people’s supporters. Only then will we be able to say that the extent of public politics will grow,” said the Acting President.
In addition, the Acting President said that he would like to encourage people to continue to expand the public political process with a broad vision.
Currently, the National Unity Government is connecting public service activities such as health and education on the ground.

“The military council, with no significant support on the foreign front, no effective governance on the administrative front, no winning, and even the soldiers fleeing every day on the military front, is making the country’s situation worse by printing new currency notes on the economic front. Now, it is using the name of the State Counselor as usual to disrupt the revolution,” said the Union Prime Minister.

It is reported that the funds collected from the “Firmly Hold Hands Together for Spring Victory” Campaign conducted by the Ministry of Labor will be distributed to CDMs of the Ministry of Labor and Railway CDMs.
The “Firmly Hold Hands Together for Spring Victory” Campaign is a raffle ticket sales campaign, and one ticket can be purchased for 20,000 kyats through major international fundraisers.
40% of the funds received from the “Firmly Hold Hands Together for Spring Victory” Campaign conducted by the Ministry of Labor of the National Unity Government will go to CDMs and Railway CDMs of the Ministry of Labor, 30% to CDMs serving as PDF soldiers, and 30% to refugee camps.
The raffle prizes included 1 wedding ring of the Deputy Minister of Labor, 2 wedding rings of a newlywed couple from Mandalay, 1 ring of a support donor from Australia, U Min Ko Naing’s “Spring Victory” Digital Art painting, a painting by a CDM, etc.
The campaign period is from August 1 to August 31. Campaign Target Amount is 100 million kyat.
5. During the period of seven months from January to July 2023, a total of (48) male and female employees, including teachers, were arrested by the terrorist junta
On August 1, AAPP (Assistance Association for Political Prisoners) reported the data collected.
“From January to July 2023, (14) men and (34) women; (48) individuals in total have been arrested by the junta from the education sector (including teachers) across the country. Among the (48) arrested, Mandalay Region records the highest number of arrests, with (19) individuals.
On July 27, junta forces arrested Kyaw Min Htay, the father of 2 students studying at Bright Future Federal School. He was arrested along with CDM teachers Wai Yan Min Htike and Myint Myint Than. BFFS is a school operated by the NUG, and the two CDM teachers had been appointed at the school,” AAPP stated.
6. Over 10,000 displaced people have arrived in Depayin Township
On August 1, the Depeyin Refugee Supporting Team informed that over 10,000 displaced people fleeing the war have arrived in Depayin Township.
“This is the situation of refugees fleeing the war in the eastern part of Depayin Township. There have been more than 10,000 displaced people who have been fleeing the war from the villages of Zein Zun, Pitakatt, Sel Gyi, and Pauk Thar in Ye-U Township, and from the villages of Nyaung Hla, Tha Yet Taw, Wel Gyi, Mu Kha Twin, Let Yet Kone, Kone Gyi, and Nyaung Gyi Kone in the east of Depayin Township.
