1. The National Unity Government (NUG) and the Committee Representing Pyidaungsu Hluttaw (CRPH) jointly organise the 76th anniversary of Martyrs’ Day Commemoration
The National Unity Government (NUG) and the Committee Representing Pyidaungsu Hluttaw (CRPH) jointly organised the 76th anniversary of Martyrs’ Day Commemoration on July 19. Acting President of the National Unity Government (NUG) Duwa Lashi La, Chairman of the Committee Representing Pyidaungsu Hluttaw (CRPH) U Aung Kyi Nyunt, and a member of the National Unity Consultative Council (NUCC) U Nandar Sit Aung (Myanmar Labour Alliance) gave a memorial speech on behalf of the organisations, respectively.
In his speech, Acting President Duwa Lashi La said, “In fact, martyrs are those who love the interests of their country and people more than their own lives and bodies. Furthermore, they are people who, for as long as there is time, put the interests of the general public before their own and are regarded as having a martyr’s spirit because of this. People with this kind of spirit deserve to be honoured as martyrs.”
The Acting President continued by urging people to remember the tribal martyrs who have been covered up in past history.
July 19 is a tragic day when the Great National Leader, General Aung San, along with several other leaders of Myanmar’s independence movement, were brutally assassinated.
2. Chairman of the Committee Representing Pyidaungsu Hluttaw (CRPH), U Aung Kyi Nyunt, says that the civil unrest that has been going on for more than 70 years is due to successive military dictators and their craziness by relying on arms
U Aung Kyi Nyunt, Chairman of the Committee Representing Pyidaungsu Hluttaw (CRPH), said in his address at the 76th anniversary of Martyrs’ Day Commemoration, which was organised jointly by the National Unity Government (NUG) and the Committee Representing Pyidaungsu Hluttaw (CRPH) on July 19: “History and the present are proof that the civil unrest that has been going on for more than 70 years is due to successive military dictators who relied on arms and were crazed for power. Therefore, the only common goal of all ethnicities in this Spring Revolution is to eliminate the military’s oppression and abuse and to build a peaceful future that all ethnicities long for.”
The military regime is carrying out excessive air attacks against ethnic areas.
3. Ambassador U Kyaw Moe Tun urges the UN Security Council once more to bring the military junta before the ICC
Ambassador Kyaw Moe Tun, Permanent Representative of Myanmar to the UN, addressed at the Arria Formula Meeting held by the UN Security Council to mark the 25th Anniversary of the Rome Statue: “The Contribution of the International Criminal Court to the Maintenance of International Peace and Security”, on July 18, 2023.
The ambassador stated that the illegal military coup by the inhuman military junta has lasted for three years and that it still engages in acts of violence and atrocities against the general population. “Nowadays, not only killings, abductions, arbitrary arrests, taking hostage of people, aerial attacks, heavy weaponry shelling, scorching villages and other serious violation of human rights, but also major transnational organized crimes are on the rise in the country,” ambassador U Kyaw Moe Tun stated.
People are suffering on a daily basis, and the military is the main culprit for all causes, said the ambassador, who urged the UN Security Council once more “to refer the military junta to the ICC to bring the perpetrators accountable before sacrificing too many lives of Myanmar people.”
Ambassador U Kyaw Moe Tun also noted that the UN Independent Investigative Mechanism for Myanmar (IIMM), UN High Commissioner for Human Rights, and UN Special Rapporteur on the Situation of Human Rights in Myanmar have concluded that the atrocious crimes committed by the military junta amount to crimes against humanity and war crimes.
4. As the revolution speeded up, the military became more and more disorganised, and hence they are spreading fake news
U Kyaw Zaw, a spokesperson of the Acting President Office, told Radio NUG about the fake news and misinformation spread by the military junta:
“The terrorist military council became more and more disorganised as the revolution speeded up. So they tried to divide the people. For example, they used State Counsellor Daw Aung San Suu Kyi politically, and as a trick, they made a political conspiracy to create division between the general population and Daw Aung San Suu Kyi. They used hostage diplomacy with the intention of weakening the revolutionary forces and their unity. Moreover, they spread fake news through their lobby channels deceitfully and cunningly, inciting murders and violence. However, our public, with their awareness of the revolution, will not accept the military council’s false propaganda and attempts to divide them. We also witness that they do not accept them. That is because the military council is merely a military group that never tells the truth and wants to rule the public through fear and division. This Spring Revolution is a people’s revolution that is built on the strength of the people (to be frankly, without any outside help so far). Due to the speed of the revolution, the military council’s terrorist troops suffered many losses, and they would not even stand if there were no air force support. The generals, who are the leaders of the military council, also know this well. That’s why they tried various ways to divide the revolutionary forces themselves and the general population. They threatened, haunted, spread false news, and tried various ways to divert people’s attention. I would like to reiterate that, regardless of any of their efforts, we will put more effort into the success of our People’s Spring Revolution and eliminate the terrorist military council from the land of Myanmar.”

The terrorist military council troops are suffering losses in Karenni State, Kayin State, Chin State, Kachin State, and Sagaing Region and can only rely on airstrikes.

In Kyauktaga Township, there are about 250 military council personnel comprising military-backed Pyu Saw Htee militia, police, and soldiers, and the PDF combined forces have already eliminated 60 of them, according to the Kyauktaga Pa-Ka-Fa.
