Although some members of the government are allowed to live outside of Myanmar for their own safety, most of the ministers are still living in the country or in the border areas of neighboring countries that are not under the control of the military,” said the minister.
In addition, 53 percent of NUG government members are non-Bamar ethnic people, while only 38 percent are members of the NLD. NUG’s objective is to establish a democratic state and a truly equal federal democratic union with many ethnic revolutionary organizations (EROs).

Currently, children fleeing the war and children who are studying in ethnic areas have to frequently hide in bomb shelters because of the military council’s air raids.
In addition, 5.8 million children are in urgent need of humanitarian assistance.
3. Urging the Myanmar military to release 19,377 political prisoners, including Daw Aung San Suu Kyi
The UN High Commissioner for Human Rights, Volker Turk, urged the Myanmar military to release 19,377 political prisoners, including Daw Aung San Suu Kyi, at a regular meeting of the Human Rights Council held in Geneva on Thursday.

Ko Naing Tun Oo, the organizer of the Students’ Union of Yinmarbin Township (ABSFU), was also taken away from Monywa Prison by the fascist army on February 24, 2023, and has been out of touch until today.
