1. The Union Prime Minister said that the military council is forcing the collapsing administration to run under the threat of gunfire

The National Unity Government’s Interim Local Administration Central Committee (ILACC) Meeting (27/2023) was held on July 6, and Union Prime Minister Mahn Winn Khaing Thann attended and delivered a speech.

At the meeting, Union Prime Minister Mahn Winn Khaing Thann, chairman of the Interim Local Administration Central Committee, said, “We can see that the current economic situation of the country is much worse than before the seizure of power, as the military council is forcing the collapsing administration to run under the threat of gunfire. The stopping of businesses, the turmoil of resource distributors, showing a negative sign in various sectors, becoming one of the worst countries, and the departure of large organizations that provide funds for the basic people will cause a lot of harm to the people,” said the Union Prime Minister.

“In order to remedy these damages, the revolutionaries must make great efforts. It is important to be aware of all situations and process them. We understand that we are working in the face of danger on all the issues, but we need to take measures to minimize the damage to people’s lives and property,” the Union Prime Minister added.

The attending members of the Interim Local Administration Central Committee explained the resolution made on (26/2023), the status of the completion of the previous processes and the remaining processes to be carried out, which the attending officials discussed extensively.

The meeting was attended by Union Ministers, Deputy Ministers, Permanent Secretaries, and officials from ministries.

2. The Prime Minister of Timor-Leste met with Foreign Minister Daw Zin Mar Aung

On July 6, NUG Foreign Affairs Deputy Minister U Moe Zaw Oo responded to radio NUG that the Prime Minister of Timor-Leste met with Foreign Minister Daw Zin Mar Aung.

3. The Interim Local Administration Central Committee (ILACC) held a meeting with the district people’s administrative bodies

On July 6, the meeting between the Interim Local Administration Central Committee (ILACC) and the district people’s administrative bodies (5/2023) was held.

4. 244 people died in Bago Region due to the terrorist junta, of which 124 were shot dead

On July 6, according to data collected by AAPP (Assistance Association for Political Prisoners), 244 people died in Bago Region due to the terrorist junta, of which 124 were shot dead.

“From February 2021 to July 6, 2023, (244) people in Bago Region were killed by the junta. Of the (244) victims, (124) of them were killed by gunshot, while (94) of them were killed during the protest crackdown,” it stated.

Moreover, (1,958) people were arrested in Bago Region, and (1,468) are still under detention. Among the still detained persons, (491) were given prison sentences under specious charges.

5. CDF – KKG basic military training completion ceremony held

Chinaland Defense Force – Kalay-Kabaw-Gangaw informed that CDF – KKG basic military training completion ceremony was held on July 6.

It is reported that the completion ceremony of the basic military education course conducted by CDF-KKG was successfully held a few days ago.

“On July 6, at 6:05 a.m., the terrorist military troops that came out of Ywar Thar Gyi Village shot 5 civilians going to the market near the tamarind tree in the west half of Shwe Pan Kone Village and east of Tha Ma Yoe Village. It is known that the 7 dead were 3 men and 4 women, and 1 woman was from Kadoekaing village.

7. During the battle of Mone, the terrorist military council troops were attacked 3 times in one day, killing 12 and injuring 16

KNLA – PDF joint forces have clashed with military council troops 3 times since yesterday, July 3, in Oakphyat Village and Kanyinkya Village along the Mone-Zayatkyi Highway in the controlled area of KNU – Brigade 3, Nyaunglebin District, Bago Region. It was reported that during the battle in Mone, the terrorist military council troops were attacked three times in one day, killing 12 and injuring 16.

A military council column that came to provide security along their logistics route was attacked by drones using 40-mm and 60-mm grenades once in the early morning and once in the afternoon near the village of Oakphyat, resulting in the deaths of 4 junta soldiers.

On July 5, at around 8:00 p.m., the KNLA joint forces again attacked the military council forces that arrived in front of Kanyinkya village school with heavy and small arms. Eight soldiers of the military council were reportedly killed and seven wounded during the exchange of fire.

There are daily clashes with the military council troops in Mone Township, Htantabin Township, Nyaunglebin Township, Kyaukkyi Township, Shwegyin Township, and Phyu Township in Bago Region. On July 2, around 14 military council soldiers were killed in a clash between the military council forces and the joint revolutionary forces near the Chain creek bridge in Nyaunglebin Township.

8. The Armored Battalion-6005 in Ohntaw Village, Sagaing Township was attacked with grenades

Anyar Thar Lay SGG confirmed that on July 6 at 1:30 p.m., the Armored Battalion-605 in Ohntaw Village, Sagaing Township was attacked with grenades.

“The Armored Battalion-6005 in Ohntaw Village, Sagaing Township, was attacked with grenades at 1:30 p.m. on July 6, and there could be many casualties,” it stated.

It is reported that the military council fired back recklessly, and the attack was carried out jointly by allied forces of Anyar Thar Lay SGG, Sagaing Township PaKaFa, Phoenix SGG and Fight For Federal.
