1. The Interim Local Administration Central Committee (ILACC) held a meeting with the township people’s administrative bodies of Mandalay and Magway Divisions
On May 24, the meeting between the NUG’s Interim Local Administration Central Committee (ILACC) and the township people’s administrative bodies of Mandalay and Magway Divisions (15/2023) was held.
At the meeting, Union Minister U Nai Tun Pe @ U Nai Suwunna, Ministry of Labour, and the member of ILACC, and Union Minister Daw Khin Ma Ma Myo, Ministry of Commerce, gave opening speeches respectively.
Following, officials from ministries explained the activities of relevant ministries and then, members of the township people’s administrative bodies exchanged views with relevant officials regarding policies, directions, operations and challenges encountered on the ground.
The meeting was attended by Union Ministers, Deputy Ministers, Permanent Secretaries, Associate Secretaries, relevant officials from ministries, and members of the township people’s administrative bodies of Mandalay and Magway Divisions.
2. All the Myanmar people are fighting against the military council and they are waiting for the right time
The Union Minister U Htin Lin Aung of the Ministry of Communications, Information and Technology, said that all the Myanmar people are fighting against the military council and waiting for the right time.

On May 24, the Assistance Association for Political Prisoners reported in its “Daily Briefing in Relation to the Military Coup”:
“On the evening of May 18, a clash took place between around 70 junta personnel from No. 415 Light Infantry Battalion and the PDF, between Min Lel and Ka Dat Chaung Villages in Katha Township, Sagaing Region. Then, on the morning of May 19, junta forces went to Min Lel Village and shot indiscriminately at locals. As a result, Nyo Nyo and Aye Aye Aung were both shot in the chest and died instantly, while three other locals were seriously injured.”
It also stated, “Since the February 1, 2021 coup and the emergence of the Spring Revolution, a total of (3,567) people, including pro-democracy activists and civilians have been killed through military crackdowns against the pro-democracy movement.”
5. In Thabeikkyin Township, the defense forces attacked from the air and ground for two days in a row, and many junta troops were wounded

“On May 22, around 4:00 p.m., 85 military council troops stationed in Mataung Village, Thabeikkyin Township, were attacked 5 times by drones from the air. We dropped 5 60-mm bombs, and 3 successfully exploded. Many military council troops were injured.
The military council soldiers continued to invade on May 23 and when they arrived at Paw Taw Mu Village at 11:30 a.m., we fired at the place where the heavy weapons were placed with 40mm and small arms. When 2 soldiers came up, both were hit and 1 died on the spot,” it stated.
6. Terrorist military council soldiers stationed near Khin Mun Village, Monywa Township were attacked and three killed
Monywa District No. 5 Battalion – Aung San Force informed the military news on May 23 that three junta soldiers were killed when they attacked the terrorist military council soldiers stationed near Khin Mun Village, Monywa Township.
“On May 22 at 2:15 p.m., our Monywa District No. 5 Battalion – Aung San Force and allied forces, MRDA – Battalion (6) – Squadron (2) Saturn Force and 5/UG attacked the terrorist military council soldiers stationed near Khin Mun Village, Monywa Township,” it stated.
In the attack, 3 soldiers of the terrorist military council were killed on the spot and others were also injured.
7. People are suffering badly from power outages and singer Byuhar was arrested by the military junta for comparing the distribution of electricity between the people’s government regime and the terrorist military council regime on social media
It has been reported that the people are suffering badly from the power outage, and their daily social lives are being affected. In the inquiry on May 24, the public unanimously said that to Radio NUG.
“You can even say that the electricity is no longer provided. They said that the electricity was provided in groups. They didn’t give electricity for even five or ten minutes. The electricity came in and went out. In some townships, the electricity went out for hours,” said a housewife who lives in the northern part of Dagon Myo Thit.

On May 24, Karenni Nationalities Defense Force-KNDF (Central Information Department) released the military news that nearly 40 junta soldiers including a captain and two lieutenants were killed, during the 10-day clashes on the mountain ridge near Daw Law Khu and Ta Nee La Leh in Demoso Township, Karenni State.
“Since May 14, our Karenni alliance forces have counter-attacked the massive military council troops that had been invading along the mountain ridge from Ta Nee La Leh Village to Daw Law Khu Village in the east of Demoso Township, Karenni State. Karenni Army (KA), Karenni Nationalities Defense Force KNDF B-06, Karenni Nationalities Defence Force KNDF B-04, Karenni Nationalities Defense Force Explosion and Technique Department KNDF-ETD, Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV) Department of Karenni Nationalities Defense Force (KNDF) KNDF-UAV, and Loikaw PDF launched a joint counter-offensive and attacked the massive military council troops from LIB-425, LIB-517, and IB-287 battalions that had been invading the mountain east of Daw Law Khu Village since May 14 to May 23,” it stated.
During the 10-day clashes, 40 junta soldiers, including a captain and two lieutenants, were killed, and many junta soldiers, including captains, were injured.
