Acting President Duwa Lashi La said that the military dominance of the mountainous regions, and the resistance of the mainland and rural areas, are more resilient than expected. On March 9, the National Unity Government’s Acting President delivered a message to the public as follows:
“The military dominance of the mountainous regions, as well as the resistance of the mainland and rural areas, are found to be more resilient than expected. We also need to remember that this resistance is very capital-intensive.”
Currently, the NUG is accelerating the speed of the military, and carrying out various military fronts in accordance with the one-year strategic plan.
2. Acting President Duwa Lashi La meets with EU Special Envoy H.E. Igor Driesmans
Acting President Duwa Lashi La held a meeting with EU Special Envoy, H.E Igor Driesmans. On March 9, Acting President tweeted the following:
“I had the pleasure of meeting with the EU Special Envoy, Igor Driesmans. We had a discussion about helping and supporting the people of Myanmar. We look forward to closer and broader cooperation with the European Union.”
Mr. Stefano Sannino, Secretary General of the European Union (Department of Foreign Affairs), and NUG Foreign Minister Daw Zin Mar Aung had a discussion in Brussels, Belgium, in December 2022.
3. Union Prime Minister warns Pyu Saw Htee militia members are working to stop supporting the revolution
Union Prime Minister Mahn Win Khaing Than warned the public that Pyu Saw Htee militia members, who are the stooges of the military council, are working to stop supporting the revolution. The Prime Minister said at the Interim Local Public Administration Central Committee’s meeting held on March 9.
The Pyu Saw Htee militia members, who are stooges of the military council, are brutally oppressing the people, who are the revolution’s lifeblood, and working to stop supporting the revolution.
The military council is trying to divide the blood in various ways to undermine the unity of the public and the defense forces, claiming that the revolutionary forces are to blame for the people’s losses, displacements, and civilian casualties. In addition, the prime minister added that there is still a need to properly record those cases, confirm the facts, and respond.
4. Ministry of Home Affairs and Immigration meets with District Public Administration Groups
On March 9, the Ministry of Home Affairs and Immigration held a meeting (10/2023) with district Public Administration Groups. The secretary of the Ministry of Home Affairs and Immigration gave opening remarks at the meeting.
Then, an official from the Public Administration Department discussed the needs of the operations. After that, the attending District Public Administration Groups questioned and discussed needs and difficulties on the ground, and the ministry officials responded. Officials from the Public Administration Department, the Police Department, the Fire Department, the Immigration Department, the Special Investigation Department, and members of the district Public Administration Groups attended the meeting.

Ambassador U Kyaw Moe Tun stated at the United Nations that the general public is completely opposed to the rule of the military dictator. The ambassador said at the meeting to mark the 25th anniversary of the adoption of Security Council Resolution 1325 at the United Nations headquarters in New York.
“People are completely opposed to military dictatorships and are well aware that their basic human rights will be violated if they live under them. Therefore, effective measures have been requested from the international community in order to save their lives and properties. However, the request of the people of Myanmar has not yet been received,” the ambassador said. Moreover, the ambassador added that women and girls have been participating in the front lines of the people’s resistance war.
6. Myanmar junta forces arrested the owner of Za Lone Gyi shop in Mandalay
On March 9, the terrorist army raided a shop selling Za Lone Gyi Curry Paste in Mandalay and arrested the owner.
The owner of the Golden Crab restaurant, which sells Za Lone Gyi Curry Paste and is located on 66th St. between 31st and 32nd St. in Mandalay, was arrested, according to locals. The regime is currently looking for and inspecting locations in Yangon where Za Lone Gyi Curry Paste is sold.

The attack killed two junta forces and injured at least three others. Reportedly, the injured terrorist troops returned fire, but the defense comrades were able to flee unharmed.

Defense forces carried out two mine attacks on the military council’s convoy carrying copper from Monywa NaMaKha, killing five junta forces. On March 9, the Monywa District No. 5 Battalion (Aung San Force) reported the military news as follows:
“At approximately 11:00 a.m., our Monywa District No. 5 Battalion Aung San Force A.S.F. and allied forces, including the Monywa Fighter Group, Generation Z People’s Defense Force, and People’s Youth Defense Force, launched a first mine attack on the military council’s convoy carrying copper from Monywa NaMaKha near the Swan Yee Htet gas station on the Monywa – Mandalay Highway. For the second time, our Monywa District No. 5 Battalion (Aung San Force – A.S.F) launched a mine attack on a copper convoy from Monywa’s NaMaKha near Natyaekan, Chaung-U township, killing three junta forces and injuring many more.”
The attack killed at least two junta forces and might have injured many others.
