1. The Acting President says the unity between Myanmar nationals at home and abroad is a force for the revolution

Acting President Duwa Lashi La said that the unity between Myanmar nationals at home and abroad is a force for the revolution. The Acting President stated the following on February 11 at a Humanitarian Emergency Fund for Myanmar event hosted by the CRPH/NUG Support Group (AUS).

“Although we are far from home and abroad, it is obvious that our hearts are close, and our unity is a force for the revolution. Although ethnic people who have arrived overseas are in a peaceful environment, I feel that they are concerned about their families who remain in the country.”

Moreover, the Acting President reiterated that the participation of Union ethnic people in the Spring Revolution reflects the humane spirit.

2. NUG Foreign Minister wished the Karen people success in achieving their goals

Daw Zin Mar Aung, the National Unity Government’s Foreign Minister, wished the Karen people success in achieving their goals. On February 11, the NUG Foreign Minister Daw Zin Mar Aung stated the following:

“On the occasion of Karen National Day, the 75th Diamond Jubilee on this day, I would like to wish the Karen people to be able to successfully achieve their desired goals.”

In his speech to mark the 75th anniversary of the Karen National Day, the KNU Chairman stated that the right patriotism between the Karen people and the organizations is essential for a safe and peaceful future life for the Karen people.

3. Defense Minister says the international community should not recognize the terrorist army

U Yee Mon, the Defense Minister, stated that the international community should not recognize the terrorist army at all. In February, Defense Minister U Yee Mon responded to the Asahi Shinbon newspaper as follows:

“On behalf of the people of Myanmar, I would like to inform the world that the coup army are terrorists, murderers, and criminals who do not represent the people of Myanmar and cannot control the ground in reality. Therefore, I would like to urge the international community to recognize the National Unity Government, which represents the people of Myanmar, rather than the terrorist army. We will continue to make efforts for this.”

Currently, the military council is prohibited from attending international meetings and ASEAN summits.

4. Justice Minister U Thein Oo says courts are crucial in establishing the interim rule of law

Justice Minister U Thein Oo said that courts are crucial in establishing the interim rule of law. The Minister stated the following during a meeting of officials and judges at the Ministry of Justice’s Interim Judicial Department.

“Courts play a crucial role in establishing interim rule of law, as do judges on the ground. This meeting is important in order for the judges to make the right decisions and have mutual consultation and experience exchange with the ministry officials. The issue of how to decide cases is critical in the development of the federal judicial system, and there are plans to conduct necessary courses in the future to improve the academic capacity of judges.”

The meeting was attended by the Union Minister of Justice U Thein Oo, Permanent Secretary U Min Naung Khaing, Interim Judicial Department Director General U Yan Gyi Aung, Deputy Permanent Secretary, Deputy Director Generals, Directors, relevant internal staff, and District Township Court judges.

5. The 75th Diamond Jubilee Karen National Day ceremony was held at the KNU headquarters

The 75th Karen National Day Diamond Jubilee Ceremony was held on February 11, 2023, at the headquarters of KNU – Karen National Union.

According to the event agenda, the Karen National Flag was saluted, led by Lt. Col. Saw MoeZ, and the chairman, Padoh Saw Hser Pwe (KNU – Associate General Secretary – 1), gave an opening speech. Saw Eh Htee Kaw (KYO – Central Joint Secretary) read a speech delivered to the 75th Karen National Day by KNU Chairman General Saw Mutu Say Poe, and the New Generation (NGLP) students sang an honor song.

Following that, leaders who attended the 75th Karen National Day diamond jubilee ceremony gave speeches, including Padoh Naw Dah Dah (KNU – Central Executive Committee Member) and Lt. Col. Saw Orsi (KNLA – HQ). Then, (KNLA – HQ) soldiers sang an honor song, and Padoh Saw Kalae Say (KNU Central Standing Committee Member) expressed his gratitude to those who attended the 75th Karen National Day Diamond Jubilee Ceremony. Finally, the ceremony concluded with the singing of the Karen National Song.

6. The attack on the Nyaungpin lower gate camp in Kawkareik city killed six junta forces

In Kawkareik city of Karen State, at least six people were killed when defense forces opened fire on junta troops at the Nyaungpin lower gate camp in Tadaru village. On February 11, the White Tiger column announced the battle news as follows:

“On February 11th, around 5:30 a.m., the White Tiger column’s joint forces opened fire on junta troops at the Nyaungpin lower gate camp in Tadaru village, Kawkareik city, Karen State, injuring two revolutionary comrades (not seriously).”

At least six junta forces were killed on the enemy side, and casualties are still being investigated. According to the report, the resistance forces seized one pistol, two MA3s, four ammunition boxes, and one RPG-7 from the military council.

7. The military council’s fighter jet dropped a 500-pound bomb around a village in Pekon township’s West Karen group

The military council’s fighter jet dropped a 500-pound bomb around a village in the West Karen group, Pekon township. On February 11, the Pekon PDF released the battle news as follows:

“On February 10, at 11:20 p.m., a fighter jet from the military council’s Nay Pyi Taw air force base dropped a 500-pound bomb around the village of West Kayan group in Pekon township.”

Although no one was injured, one building, a three-room toilet, and a water tank were all destroyed. The military council is targeting the public intentionally because it is losing a lot in armed struggle. Therefore, the public is urged to live cautiously and report aviation news on time.

8. Special Operations Force (S.O.F.) opened a Telegram channel for information and communication

The Special Operations Force (S.O.F.) opened a Telegram channel for information and communication. S.O.F. released the news on February 11.

“The National Unity Government’s Southern Military Region Command, the Special Operations Force, has launched a Telegram channel to facilitate information and communication activities,” S.O.F. said. The Special Operations Force’s Telegram channel link is listed on the official social network page.
