1. The number one priority is to get rid of the terrorist army as quickly as possible, Union Prime Minister says

Union Prime Minister Mann Win Khaing Than said that the number one priority is to get rid of the terrorist army as quickly as possible. The Prime Minister stated this at the cabinet meeting on February 7. 

“There are many important issues to be solved in our country. Among them, getting rid of the terrorist army as soon as possible is the number 1 issue to be done. We all know that the terrorist army is the source of all the problems in our country. For this reason, I would strongly encourage everyone to put in effort from all sides to make a concerted effort,” the Prime Minister said. In addition, the Prime Minister reiterated that the success of the February 1 silent strike undoubtedly showed that the public is trying every opportunity to oppose the military council, which is committing atrocities daily.

2.       U Aung Kyi Nyunt, a chairperson of CRPH, sent condolence messages to the Speakers of the National Hluttaws of Turkey and Syria

U Aung Kyi Nyunt, the chairperson of the Committee Representing Pyidaungsu Hluttaw, sent condolence messages to the Speakers of the National Hluttaws of Turkey and Syria. On February 7, the Committee Representing Pyidaungsu Hluttaw (CRPH) released a statement as follows;

“As the Committee Representing Pyidaungsu Hluttaw, we are very shocked to hear the news of the powerful earthquake that occurred in Turkey and Syria yesterday.”

“In this difficult time, the National Unity Government stands in solidarity with the Turkish and Syrian governments, parliaments, parliamentarian friends, and the public. In addition, we extend our condolences to the families of those who lost their lives and wish those who were injured a speedy recovery,” it stated.

3.       Foreign Minister Daw Zin Mar Aung meets with Labor Party MP Catherine West

It is reported that Foreign Minister Daw Zin Mar Aung met with Labor Party MP Catherine West. The Foreign Ministry of the National Unity Government released the news on February 7.

“On February 6th, at 5:00 p.m. UK time, Daw Zin Mar Aung, NUG Foreign Minister of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar, met and discussed with Catherine West, Labor Party Member of Parliament and Shadow Minister for Asia and the Pacific,” the Ministry stated. During the Union Minister’s visit to the United Kingdom, they discussed Myanmar-related issues, with particular attention to more active international support.

4.       The Irrawaddy Region Hluttaw successfully hold its fourth meeting

The fourth meeting of the Irrawaddy Region Hluttaw was held via video conference on February 7 at 10:00 a.m. The meeting was held with 11 agendas and attended by Irrawaddy Region Hluttaw representatives, invited Pyidaungsu Hluttaw representatives, National Hluttaw representatives, and Executives from the National League for Democracy.

At the beginning of the meeting, the Irrawaddy Region Hluttaw’s representatives and the attendees observed an eight-second silence in memory of the martyrs, monks, students, and people who died in the democratic uprisings throughout history and the spring revolution. Then, after the opening speech by U Kyaw San, a speaker of the Irrawaddy Region Hluttaw, the Irrawaddy Region Hluttaw Representative Committee’s one-year report, the CRPH’s Finance Committee’s one-year report, the Integration Committee’s one-year report, the Social Support Committee’s one-year report for the education sector, the Social Support Committee’s one-year report for the humanitarian and disaster management sector, and the Irrawaddy Region Hluttaw Committee’s activities during the spring revolution were submitted to the Hluttaw. After that, Hluttaw recorded all of the submitted reports.

It is reported that the Burmese Association of France organized the “People’s Day of Solidarity” fundraising event and the “Undaunted” spring revolution documentary film exhibition in Paris on Sunday, February 5.

Dr. Win Myat Aye, Minister of Humanitarian Affairs and Disaster Management, expressed gratitude to revolutionary brothers and sisters in France and the French people for their assistance in the Myanmar’s affairs. According to the report, a discussion was carried out about issues that have been developing during the 2-year revolution, as well as the participation of the people in the international community for the revolution’s fastest success and efforts to obtain international support.

A total of US$102,998 was received from the “Let’s Fly Federal Drones to Hoist the Spring Flag” campaign. That campaign is a Federal Wings drone project, and the drones will be distributed for use in operations.

“The revolutionary forces from Mandalay and Monywa lectured on political awareness to some people’s defense battalions/forces and PDF forces in Salingyi township. The lecture delivered federal-related knowledge, leadership, proper information delivery and teamwork,” the revolutionary forces said. In addition, a leader of the Monywa People’s Defense Force (MPDF) delivered a lecture on civil wars and the two keys of COCs in the People’s Resistance War. This lecture is provided to People’s Defense Forces fighting for a federal democracy, as they especially need basic political and military knowledge. In addition, efforts will be made to provide training in the remaining areas.

8.       India4Myanmar group urges to put pressure on the state government to stop arresting and imprisoning Myanmar refugees in Indian border towns

It has been preparing to put pressure on the state government to stop arresting and imprisoning Myanmar refugees in Indian border towns, according to the report. The India4Myanmar urged on February 7.

“The Chief Minister of India’s Manipur state posted on social media that action would be taken against those who accepted Myanmar people, who had illegally entered the state. Also, he expressed his gratitude, along with a list, to the police department for arresting the Myanmar people,” it described. The India4Myanmar announced that it is necessary to put pressure on the state government to immediately stop the actions, arresting and imprisoning Myanmar people, in addition to deporting and sending them back to the hands of the military.

9.       About 10 junta troops and Pyu Saw Htee members killed in an interception attack on the Pakokku-Yesagyo Road

In an interception attack on the Pakokku-Yesagyo Road, about 10 junta troops and Pyu Saw Htee members were killed, and weapons were seized.

At 4:30 p.m. on February 4th, it was reported that the PDF Pakokku District Battalion (3) opened fire on 14 junta forces and Pyu Saw Htee members, who were accompanied in two cars on Pakokku-Yesagyo Road. The seized items are – 6 carbine guns, 6 boxes of carbine ammunition, 146 cartridges of carbine ammunition, 1 MA-4 gun, 5 boxes of MA-4 ammunition, 94 rounds of 5.56mm ammunition, 3 grenades, 4 grenade launchers (40-mm), 3 phones, 1 power bank, 1 equipment, 1 water bottle, 1 car (super custom), and 3 blank ammunitions.
