1. Union Minister U Tin Tun Naing pledges to live for the spring revolution until its goal is reached

“In this revolution, there is no moment of fear, despair, hopelessness, or any other moment of weakness. Only resentment, obstinacy, and hatred increased, transformed, and grew stronger with the determination, ‘I will fight to win.’ I pledge to live for the revolution until its goal is achieved while carrying on the responsibilities forwarded by those who sacrificed their lives in the middle of the way to victory, and marching relentlessly forward.” The Ministry of Planning, Finance and Investment is seeking funds for the Spring Revolution through the sale of EOD shares and the sale of Special Treasury Bonds.

2. A political prisoner died at the hands of prison authorities in Pathein Prison

On January 6, political prisoners were severely tortured, beaten, and shot at in Pathein Prison, and one political prisoner was reportedly killed by the prison authorities. During the incident, there were some prisoners who were seriously injured by the beatings by prison staff and many police forces in Pathein Prison. A political prisoner, Ko Mae Gyi, was killed in the assault, and now the prison is under strict security, and access to the prison has been banned indefinitely, according to the reports.

Eight of the affected political prisoners are reportedly receiving medical treatment at the new Pathein Hospital and are in a life-threatening condition.

3. The Mission-6 fundraising campaign of the Global Fundraiser Group (GFG), which will support the 2nd and 3rd PDF battalions of Myingyan District, has been launched

On January 7, the CRPH-OFP announced that the Mission-6 fundraising campaign of the Global Fundraiser Group (GFG), which will support the 2nd and 3rd PDF battalions of Myingyan District, has been launched. It is stated as follows:

“The Mission-6 of the Global Fundraiser Group (GFG), which is a group of individual fundraisers, has arrived. This time, in Mission-6, the funds raised will be used to support the 2nd and 3rd battalions of Myingyan District, under the guidance of the Ministry of Defence, the National Unity Government. There is no limit on the amount of support sent, and every individual who contributes to Mission-6 will receive an appreciation card and a commemorative postcard via email. The GFG Mission-6 will end on January 15 and can be supported through individual GFG fundraisers in Myanmar, Thailand, Singapore, Japan, Australia, the United States, Malaysia, and South Korea according to the respective country’s currency.

4. The People’s Defence Forces used high-intensity mines to attack two military vehicles between Myinmu Town and Wan Pyae Village this morning, killing five soldiers

The People’s Army to Fight Dictatorship (PAFD), a revolutionary force in Sagaing Division, claimed that it and its allies attacked two military vehicles with high-intensity mines on January 7 at around 5:56 a.m. Five soldiers were killed and many were injured as a result of the mine attack, according to the People’s Army to Fight Dictatorship.

Despite being fire back fiercely by the military council troops, the members of the revolutionary forces were reportedly able to successfully retreat without being harmed.

The attack was said to have been carried out jointly by the People’s Army to Fight Dictatorship (PAFD), its sub-force Dog Killers PDF (DF PDF-MMU), the People’s Knight Defence Force Myinmu (PKDF-MMU), the Taungtha People Defence Force (TTAPDF), and the DBBF Defence Force Myinmu.

5. The terrorist military troops were rampaging through the villages in Depayin Township this morning

The Depayin Township Brothers reported that the terrorist military troops were rampaging through the villages in Depayin Township on the morning of January 7 as follows:

“Terrorist military troops who burned down Hpaya Htut Village yesterday are now on their way to Sat Pyar Kyin Village, where they have fired large and small weapons. Another group of the terrorist military troops that torched Man Kyi Sout Village were arriving in Kyun Taw Gyi and Kyun Taw Lay villages, and from those, they are heading towards Sat Pyar Kyin Village. Another group of the terrorist military troops that arrived near Kyi Village is also heading towards Sat Pyar Kyin Village.”

The Depayin Township Brothers also reported on the evening of January 7 that the smoke started coming from Sat Pyar Kyin Village, Depayin Township, at around 5:00 p.m. In Depayin Township, the military burned down 2,900 houses in 22 villages in December 2022, and a total of at least 4,200 houses were burned down in Depayin Township since the coup, making it the township with the most damage in Sagaing Division.

6. The People’s Defence Forces attacked a junta-controlled police outpost in Min Kun Village, Sagaing Township with a drone drop bomb

The Unicorn Guerrilla Force claimed that they had attacked a junta-controlled police outpost in Min Kun Village, Sagaing Township with a drone drop bomb on January 6, and the bomb hit the police station.

“We attacked the Min Kun police outpost in Sagaing Township with a drone drop bomb. After the bomb went off, there were several returned fires from inside the police outpost out of fear, and the casualties are not yet known.”

It was reported that the members of the people’s defence forces were able to retreat unscathed despite the heavy firing, and the attack was said to have been conducted jointly by the Unicorn Guerrilla Force, the ADRF (Madaya), the Peacock Soldier People’s Defence Force, and the Sky Hero (Madaya).

7. The Myin Mu Defence Force (MMDF) successfully produces grenade launchers and rifle grenades

The Myin Mu Defence Force (MMDF), a defence force in Myinmu Township, announced on January 7 that it has successfully produced homemade grenade launchers and rifle grenades.

The People’s Defence Forces (PDFs) are successfully developing and producing homemade ammunition, rifle grenades, and 60 mm and 40 mm grenade launchers.

8. Donations to the “Victory Flag of Spring” campaign for circuits and batteries for the drone support are still low

The Victory Flag of Spring (or) Nway Oo Aung Lan campaign announced that donations for the circuit and battery supports for the drone were still low, as follows:

It is reported that, at present, the Victory Flag of Spring campaign has received the most donations for cameras and propellers for the drone support.

The Victory Flag of Spring campaign is a fundraising campaign made by the Federal Wings to support drones and drone technology for the people’s defence forces across the country. Donations can be made for the basic materials needed to build a drone, such as the propellers, cameras, circuits, and batteries.

Everyone who purchases and donates 50 points or more will receive a lucky draw ticket as part of the campaign’s special plan, with each dollar spent equalling one point. A pair of ladies’ shoes worn by Mother Suu on her journey to Europe to accept the Nobel Prize will be awarded as a special prize in the lucky draw.
