Acting President Duwa Lashi La said at the Cabinet Meeting in the final week of December that the victory of the Spring Revolution is the victory of the entire people.

“The achievements of the revolution we have now are the result of everyone’s hard work. We will have to turn those into a ray of hope for the public. The victory of the spring revolution is the victory of all revolutionary forces and the victory of the entire people, not just the National Unity Government.” — Acting President said.

On September 7, 2021, the People’s Defensive Revolution began, and over the course of a year of the revolution, at least 20,000 junta soldiers have been killed. At present, there are controlled territories in Sagaing Division, Magway Division, Karenni State, Karen State, and Chin State.

2. The NUG Foreign Minister says that the neighbouring countries need to know that the military council will hold a sham with results already known

During an interview with PVTV in December, Daw Zin Mar Aung, Union Minister of Foreign Affairs, included the followings:

“If every election were a solution to a political crisis, there would not be a coup d’état. The international community knows that the one the military council will hold is not an election, but it is a sham whose result is already known in advance. 3. The terrorist military council burned two members of the village defence force in Po Wa Village, Madaya Township, to death

On December 29, the Sky Revolution Force, a local defence in Madaya Township, reported that two members of the village defence force in Pa Wa Village, Madaya Township, were burned to death by the terrorist military, as follows:

“Two members of the village defence force in Po Wa Village in Madaya Township were burned to death by the military council. The terrorist military council troops looted and burned villages in Madaya Township, and in addition, they burned two members of defence force alive.”

The two fallen comrades were Comrade Nine and Comrade Pyae, and the Heavenly Revolution Force said that it wished them rest in peace.

On December 27, while a junta column of around 60 soldiers was raiding Po Wa Village, Madaya Township, Mandalay Division, two young members of the village defence force, Pyae Pyae Kyaw and Nine Naing, who were scouting the column, and about 20 other villagers were arrested. After the junta column left the village on December 28, the burned bodies of Pyae Pyae Kyaw and Nine Naing were found being burned. The two comrades were said to be scouting for the village defence and not involved in combat.

4. CDF CDM-SIYIN has issued an emergency warning to stop the use of Kalay-Taingen Road starting this morning

The Civic Defence Militia (CDF CDM-Siyin) has announced an emergency warning to stop the use of Kalay-Taingen Road, which is the main trade road between Myanmar and India, starting this morning, on December 29, as follows:

“We kindly advise those who use the Kalay-Taingen Road, which is the main trade route between Myanmar and India, not to pass through the road at all beginning on December 29 because the Civic Defence Militia will attack the military council troops who are marching under the guise of the battalion exchange, at any time and in any place.”

Military council forces often carry out military formations, military movements, and military raids, using the travelling people as cover.

5. The people’s defence forces attacked a military council camp in Kanbalu Township with large home-made weapons this morning

The Kanbalu District PDF Battalion-3 claimed that the people’s defence forces opened fire on a base camp of the military council troops in Kanbalu Township this morning with large home-made weapons, as follows:

“On the morning of December 29, the local PaKaHpa groups opened fire at a base camp of the military council troops with large home-made weapons, and may have hit and injured them.”

It is reported that an investigation is underway to confirm the casualties among the military council troops.

The military council troops and a paramilitary “Pyu Saw Htee” group stationed in Zin Chaung Village burned down the village at around 11:00 p.m. on December 28.

6. Within 2 days, the terrorist military council torched 6 villages in Chaung-U Township

On December 29, the Chaung-U Revolution team reported that the terrorist military council torched 6 villages in Chaung-U Township within 2 days, as follows:

“Beginning on December 27, the terrorist military council forces set Wa Yar and Ywa Thit Village on fire, followed on December 28 by Nagar Bo Village, Kone Thar Village, Taw Kyaung Lay Village, and Htan Taw Kone Village. Additionally, they broke into homes in A Myint Village and stole belongings from residents.”

7. CDF–Paletwa attacked the junta gate of the bridge on the border of Paletwa and Matupi, killing two junta soldiers and injuring five others

Actor Min Maw Kun provided the following information in the final week of December regarding his support and donations:

“Our CDM artists, please check your bank accounts. Please let me know whether the money hasn’t arrived or if it has and that it has been received. I wish to help everyone, but please understand that I can only help those who truly need it. It’s not much, but it’s 40% of the money I made from my three shows. The remaining 60 percent goes to the MOD. I will plan more events and help as much as possible.”

Actor Min Maw Kun is in Australia and taking part in fundraising concerts for the Spring Revolution.

8. The “Starting Point” movie will be screened in Tokyo, Japan

The Revolution Tokyo Myanmar (RTM) announced on December 29 that the movie “Starting Point” will be screened in Tokyo, Japan, as follows:

“The ‘Starting Point’ movie will be screened in Tokyo, Japan, on January 15, 2023. The price of a movie ticket is 2,500 yen. There will be two showings of the movie, and there are a limited number of seats available, so it is best to buy quickly.”

The Revolution Tokyo Myanmar (RTM) has also invited all of the ethnic Japanese brothers and sisters to view the movie together.
