1. Acting President Duwa Lashi La urges all revolutionary forces to join forces firmly in order to form a united revolutionary coalition
Acting President Duwa Lashi La remarked at the Cabinet Meeting of the National Unity Government held in December that all revolutionary forces must join forces firmly in order to form a united revolutionary coalition.
“The success of the spring revolution is dependent on winning the military war and gaining widespread political support. Therefore, we must strive for military successes that can be evident in the defensive war. On the other hand, we must constantly strive to increase the number of friendly countries while maintaining the level of domestic political support. We must firmly connect and unify all the revolutionary groups at home to form a unified revolutionary coalition.”— Acting President Duwa Lashi La said.
The National Unity Government is working hand in hand with ethnic resistance organizations such as the Karen National Union (KNU) and the Kachin Independence Army (KIA).
2. NUG Deputy Minister of Human Rights pays his respect to the 52nd anniversary of the Kayan National Martyrs’ Day
“I pay respect to the 52nd anniversary of the Kayan National Martyrs’ Day, which falls on December 15,” said Khun Baham Htan, Deputy Minister of Human Rights.
The 52nd anniversary of the Kayan National Martyrs’ Day was celebrated at the Kayan National Martyrs’ Temple in Bisikone Village in Phekon Township on December 15, 2022, and wreaths were sent to the martyrs and salutes were given.

Kachin Independence Army (KIA) Lt. Gen. Guan Maw said during an interview with RFA that not only the Kachin Independence Organization (KIO) but all Kachin nationals have cooperated with the Committee Representing Pyidaungsu Hluttaw (CRPH) and the National Unity Government (NUG) in accordance with their full understanding.
“The key point is that it is not only the KIO but all our Kachin nationals who are cooperating with CRPH and NUG with full understanding. In terms of military issues, the KIA is constantly engaging with the NUG’s MOD through the C3C (Central Command and Coordination Committee) on everything, including how to end the military dictatorship. We are satisfied with the cooperation, and I would like to convey the message that we are making continuous efforts.” — Lt. Gen. Guan Maw said.
He added that, at first, the KIA had trained more than 4,000 members of the People’s Defense Force under the National Unity Government, which has been trying to topple the military junta. After that, the NUG’s Ministry of Defense has provided the training directly, and the KIA has cooperated with refresher courses and other special training courses.
On the other hand, he said that the revolution will definitely succeed because the young revolutionaries are very brave and determined. Lt. Gen Guan Maw also advised the need of building the strength and mutual understanding as well as avoiding slandering and accusing each other during the revolution.
He appreciated all those who contributed to the spring revolution and said that he fully believes that the revolution will succeed because it is on the right track.
4. A terrorist military convoy patrolling in Yangon’s East Dagon Township was attacked with a mine yesterday, resulting in damage
It is reported that a terrorist military convoy patrolling in Yangon’s East Dagon Township was attacked with a mine yesterday, resulting in damage.
On December 14, at 9:36 p.m., the Yangon UG Association (YUA) claimed to have blown up a terrorist military convoy near East Dagon Township Road No. 2 and the Kyansittar traffic signal.
The operation was reportedly carried out by the Generation Z Defense Force and Supply Army (GZDF), which is an ally of the YUA, and the mine exploded, possibly injuring some soldiers, but the comrades who set off the blast were able to retreat safely.
“We will take more compensation. Don’t underestimate the City. Yangon is ours.” the Yangon UG Association (YUA) declared.

On December 15, the Kalay District No. 6 Battalion released the following:
“Our comrades have to suddenly go on some missions. In such situations, we have to shout and drive people away because we don’t want them to come to a place where there is fighting. We are very worried that the people will be hurt. Therefore, we apologize if we did.”
The junta troops often conduct operations by taking civilians as hostages.

6. The remaining houses in the eastern part of Ywar Meik Thar Village, Ye-U Township, were burned down by the terrorist army this morning
According to the local news sources, the terrorist army burned down the remaining houses in the eastern part of Ywar Meik Thar Village, Ye-U Township, Sagaing Division, on the morning of December 15.
“The junta squads that burned down the Chan Thar, Kone Thar, and Ywar Thit villages yesterday turned back towards Ywar Meik Thar Village this morning and continued to set fire to the remaining houses in the eastern part of the village,” a local said.
It has been reported that the terrorist columns that entered the villages in the western part of Ye-U Township to burn them down have divided their forces and deployed to villages such as Ywar Meik Thar, Chan Thar, Ywar Thit, and Kone Thar.

“This morning at 6:42 a.m., we attacked four policemen who came out to a tea shop from Myinmu Police Station with two mines at the entrance of the station. Three policemen died on the spot, and one was critically injured,” the Zero Guerrilla Force (Myingyan) claimed.

On December 15, the Battalion-901 in Military Region 3 of the Central Regional Command issued the following military report:
“The two companies of the Magway (East) Battalion-901, Nay Pyi Taw Sub-Regional Military, Military Region 3 of the Central Regional Command—Company-1 (Garuda Column), led by Company Commander Maj. Aung Din, and Company-2 (Panther Column), led by Company Commander Maj. Oak Aww—teamed up with the Beikthano People’s Defense Army to attack a military convoy with claymore mines between Kan Thar Village and Hpet Taw Yae Village.”
The attack reportedly killed 14 soldiers and critically injured four others.
