“At a time when we were speeding up to develop the country and when we were implementing freedom and justice, it was like we encountered a lunar eclipse. But the people are still participating in and helping in the revolution. I believe that the establishment of a federal democracy in this people’s spirit of success will be successful,” Union Minister U Soe Thura Tun said.

Raffle tickets for “Let’s Fight with Mother’s Dress” are sold by actor Min Maw Kun in Sydney, Australia
On August 27, the raffle tickets were sold by actor Min Maw Kun at the “Let’s Fight with Mother’s Dress” fundraising event held in Sydney, Australia.
“This event is my promotion of the sale of raffle tickets for mother’s dress. The main thing is that the demand for the revolution is increasing day by day. This is because the people are being persecuted more and more by the military council. The main need for the success of the revolution is money,” actor Min Maw Kun said.
The raffle ticket for the mother’s dress will be sold until September, and aims to raise US$ 1 million.
50% of the proceeds from the sale of the mother’s dress raffle tickets will be used to support the arms production of the Ministry of Defense; 25% for the PDF and urban guerrillas; and 25% for comrades who have lost their limbs.
“If we meet the main needs of the revolution quickly, there are hundreds of thousands of our comrades waiting to fight today. If only these comrades could get weapons, the entire country would be able to open a war front,” actor Min Maw Kun added.
The mother’s dress is the same dress worn by Daw Aung San Suu Kyi when traveling for the 2012 by-election in Kawhmu Township.
Most of the non-CDM academic staff who are hoping to be promoted may resign because they are disappointed with the military council
It is said that most of the non-CDM academic staff who work in basic education schools are experiencing promotions and transfers that do not happen as expected; the next person gets promoted; and they are promoted, but their assignments are too far away.
“I’m on the list of promotions, but I’m going to decline it because the school is not the one I had applied for and it is too far away. It has only been 2 years since I returned to the school near my village. The previous time I was assigned to another township. I’m fed up with this field of education,” said a non-CDM academic staff member.
The military council is currently persuading academic staff to be promoted and transferred, and giving them excessive responsibilities.
