U Yee Mon, Union Minister of Defense of the National Unity Government, says that the people’s resistance war that is being fought today is a revolution that will write a new history of the Union of Myanmar in his message sent to the graduation ceremony of the Special Military Education Training of Tanintharyi Military Region Sub-Command held in August.
“Today’s people’s resistance war is a revolution that will write a new history of the Union of Myanmar. It is an honor for all of us to participate in this revolution. We must consider it our responsibility to wage this revolution until successful. At this time, PDF is the hope of Myanmar people. PDF has become the lifeblood of the People’s Revolution,” Union Minister said.

At the fundraising campaign with the theme “Mother’s Gift, Mother’s Hand Fan”, Dr. Win Myat Aye, Union Minister of Humanitarian Affairs and Disaster Management, said, “Refugees are treated as enemies by the military council. For this reason, we are also treated like enemies when we help refugees. In fact, no matter how much we help humanity, we are always facing the enemy. But we are helping the people and treating the people’s suffering as our own.”
In July 2022, NUG was able to provide 231.49 million Kyats of humanitarian assistance, mainly to Sagaing Division, Kayin State, and Bago Division.

Deputy Minister of Education Dr. Sai Khaing Myo Tun said about the state of revolution in August.
“So far, the CDM forces are still strong. They are still playing a role in the revolution by taking on casual work to earn a living. According to the military council’s statement, only a few thousand went back to their work. Certainly, there are still hundreds of thousands of CDM forces, who are still fighting with strong determinations. At the beginning of the revolution, the international media speculated that the people’s revolutionaries could not fight the military council and that they would disappear in a moment under the crackdown and torture of the military dictator. But now they have started to say that there is no way the military council can defeat the NUG and the PDF. This is a success of the revolutionary journey,” Deputy Minister Dr. Sai Khaing Myo Tun said.
After the military coup, education and health care government servants were the most involved in the CDM movement against the dictatorship.
Suangdawn 50-bedded hospital will be opened in Falam Township, Chin State
The opening ceremony of the 50-bedded Suangdawn Hospital, managed by the Health Department of the Chin National Organization (CNO), was held on 20 August 2022, at 10 am.
It was reported that the ceremony started, with the leadership of Chin National Defense Force (CNDF) Commander-in-Chief Salai Peter Htan, by saluting the Chin national flag, saluting the fallen martyrs, singing the Chin national song, and praying by the local bishop and then, CNO General Secretary Salai William Chin gave an opening speech and the messages sent by the Ministry of Health of the National Unity Government and Interim Chin National Consultative Council (ICNCC) was read by CNO Co-Secretary (2) Salai Joseph.
According to the report, the newly opened hospital has been providing medical treatment since the establishment of the CNO/CNDF in 2021. Since October 2021, it has been expanded into a hospital, working together with PDF-Kalay doctors to provide surgical treatment for wounded soldiers, childbirth, and health care services for the public.

Deputy Minister Daw Ei Thinzar Maung said at the 4th monthly seminar of the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environmental Conservation held under the theme “The minerals sector contents that revolutionary public should know”.
“Number one, the military really doesn’t know how to do business. The reason why it doesn’t know how to do business is that it has been stealing all its life. So, it sells the country like a thief, selling at a thief’s price. It does not know how to improve the quality of jade, it does not have the technology,” Deputy Minister Daw Ei Thinzar Maung said.
Deputy Minister also says that there are many of those who want to be soldiers, police, and governor in jade mining areas since it is easy to take bribes. There are toll gates on the road in those areas and they used to ask for money.
The base camp of PDF-Gangaw was raided and their food were destroyed by the terrorist military junta
According to PDF-Gangaw, the terrorist military junta stormed a base camp of PDF – Gangaw battalion and their food on the morning of 22 August at about 10:00 am.
“This morning at 10:00 am, the base camp of PDF-Gangaw battalion 12 and the food in the camp were set on fire,” PDF-Gangaw said.
PDF-Gangaw (southern) reported that the houses were also hit by the bullets as the military troops fired heavy weapons into the Aung Myin village.
The terrorist military troops burned down Kapaing village and Thee Gone village and killed 5 civilians
According to local news sources, the military column stationed in Yin Paung Taing village set fire to Kapaing village and Thee Gone village starting from around 3:00 pm on 18 August until 20 August.
About 121 households were destroyed in the fire set by the military troops, and each household had at least 3 buildings per household, including a residence, a kitchen building, and a grain storage building.
Innocent people’s houses and belongings, including agricultural machinery used for livelihood, were destroyed by fire.
The terrorist military regime killed 5 innocent people when they attacked and burned Kapaing village and Thee Gone village.

In August, the “Mother’s Present, Mother’s Hand Fan” fundraising campaign reported, “It has already been officially announced that tickets for the Mother’s Gift, Mother’s Hand Fan Campaign will be sold until August 24th. A ticket number will be selected on August 26th from the tickets sold, and only one lucky winner will be given the Mother’s Hand Fan. From August 8th to today, over 20,000 tickets have been sold through international fundraisers participating in this campaign and over two million US dollars have been received.”
Moreover, it is also said that false information, such as selling Mother’s hand fan for US$ 50 million at the auction, earning US$ 1,600, and closing of ticket sale, were spreading.

On 22 August, Black Hawk Seikphyu Revolution Front reported (BHSRF), “Yesterday, for NUG to be able to open a school in a village, the BHSRF and the NK PDF joined forces to clean a village school.”
At present, the National Unity Government is establishing public administration in thirty-six townships in Sagaing Division and Magway Division, as well as implementing education, health, and administrative systems.
