Defense Minister says that a new federal union and a new army will be built after eradicating the military dictatorship
During the 34th anniversary of the 8888 Uprising commemoration and discussion held at 8:00 pm on 8 August, Defense Minister U Yee Mon said, “We will definitely eradicate the military dictatorship from the country. After removing the dictatorship, we will have to build a new federal union. And for number two, we will have to build a new army.”
At the present time, the Ministry of Defense is building a Command-and-Control system and equipping the PDF battalions and local defense forces.
