National Unity Government declares its condemnation of any extrajudicial act, without accepting different political persuasions, committed by any organization
The National Unity Government issued the Statement (13/2022) on 30 June.
According to the statement, as the Spring Revolution, working tirelessly by the National Unity Advisory Council (NUCC), the Committee Representing Pyidaungsu Hluttaw (CRPH), the National Unity Government (NUG), and Ethnic Brotherhood Allies for the dissolution of the terrorist Military Council and the establishment of a Federal Democratic Union that all the people aspire to, has gained momentum, the terrorist Military Council and its affiliates have intentionally producing fake news and misinformation, attempting to distort the revolution.
Among those are fabricated claims that the National Unity Government has compiled a list of individuals of different political persuasions, and held a meeting to decide a procedure to endanger their lives. Not only this is categorically false, but an example eight months ago can be pointed out, there a similar claim was fabricated by a group of people and spread among the international community.
The National Unity Government considers the military dictatorship leaders who instill fear and destabilize the society, as a common enemy, and is striving its best to eradicate any form of dictatorship by upholding the principles of cherishing human rights, human security, and respect the political diversity.
Union Minister H.E. Dr. Tu Hkawng remarks that the military council is weakening and the Spring Revolution becomes stronger during a year of revolution
In an interview with Irrawaddy News on 29 June, Union Minister for Education and Health H.E. Prof. Dr. Zaw Wai Soe said, “In fact, they (the military council members) are trying to defeat the people’s defense forces (PDFs) in Sagaing and Magway Division. But they can no longer do it, and therefore, they are causing violent treatment to the civilians, such as torching civilian houses and killing civilians. The civilians are suffering these torments.”
According to the Ministry of Human Rights, over 170 civilians had been killed in the massacre and burned alive.

In an exclusive interview on 29 June, Union Minister for Health H.E. Prof. Dr. Zaw Wai Soe said, “In Sagaing Division, from April 2021 to May 2022, 28,321 patients were treated. There were 25,959 outpatients and, in terms of surgeries, there were 886 cases of major surgery and 868 cases of general surgery. Moreover, there were 300 cases of Normal Labour and 151 cases of Caesarean Section.
Union Minister also said, “We are striving our best, we are building the country and doing our best to provide health care to the people, no matter how much disruptions are being made by the other side.”

During the encouraging speech to CDM staff in Sagaing, Magway and Mandalay division via Zoom meeting on 29 June, Union Minister H.E. Dr. Tu Hkawng remarked, “I would like to express my sympathy and appreciation to all CDM staff who have endured various hardships including family and social affairs during the revolution. Although all CDM staff cannot be supported, the ministry is helping those in emergency needs. Within a year of revolution, the military council is weakening and the Spring Revolution becomes stronger.”
The attended CDM staff also presented that despite facing difficulties in making a living, security, and employment, CDM staff will continue to resist the coup not only by participating in CDM but also by contributing to the revolution by all means without getting discouraged and that it is important to take actions against those who have not participated in CDM.
The meeting was attended by 45 CDM staff from various ministries in Sagaing, Magway, and Mandalay divisions.
Interim Chin National Consultative Council (ICNCC) announces the recognition of the interim people’s administration organizations
Interim Chin National Consultative Council (ICNCC) released an announcement on 29 June.
The announcement stated that, according to the resolution of the ICNCC regular meeting held on 24 May and the resolution of the ICNCC meeting on 15 June, the ICNCC, by exercising the authority under Article 52, Chapter (8), Part II of Federal Democracy Charter, recognizes all township/local peoples’ administration organizations formed to carry out the interim people administration functions in Chin State.
Ministry of Defense (MOD) provides 10 million kyats support to ThanMaNi Force, Squadron (3) of Battalion (1) of Monywa Township People’s Defense (MPDF) to install weapons
On 30 June, Bo ThanMaNi, the leader of ThanMaNi Force, Squadron (3) of Battalion (1) of Monywa Township People’s Defense (MPDF) said on social media, “Ministry of Defense (MOD) had provided 10 million kyats support to ThanMaNi Force, Squadron (3) of Battalion (1) of Monywa Township People’s Defense (MPDF) to install weapons.”
ThanMaNi Force-MPDF also said that the people’s defense forces have pledged to fight with its revolutionary comrades to eradicate the military dictatorship until the victory of the revolution, in accordance with the guidelines of the parent ministry, the Ministry of Defense (MOD).
Five military council soldiers were killed and five others wounded in a shootout by the KIA and allied forces near Simaw-Thaunggyi, south of Banmauk
On 29 June, Banmauk Revolution released a warfare report that, on the evening of 28 June and the morning of 29 June, clashes broke out between the military council troops and the KIA allied forces, killing five soldiers and capturing five others. The allied forces include Katha Battalion-2 (Banmauk PDF and Indaw PDF) and local people’s defense forces.
No casualties were reported from the defense forces.
It is stated that the captives were kept in good condition in accordance with the guidelines.
