Ambassador U Kyaw Moe Tun urges people to buy bonds sold by NUG
In May, U Kyaw Moe Tun, Myanmar’s ambassador to the United Nations, urged people to buy bonds sold by NUG, “It is well known that NUG is now working with the people in various ways. Buy the bonds that NUG sells. We will continue to use these bonds effectively to get rid of Military dictatorship in Myanmar as soon as possible.”
The National Unity Government has sold up to 37 million USD worth of special treasury bonds.
Ambassador U Kyaw Moe Tun added “As for selling bonds, I would like to give the good news that it is now able to buy bonds for those who have been killed or injured while we are fighting back against the terrorist army.”

At a press conference on May 18 on The End of Dictatorship (EOD) project and it’s next steps, Union Minister U Tin Tun Naing said “There is also enterprise that pay taxes. At a press conference on May 18 on “The End of Dictatorship (EOD)” project and it’s next steps, in answering the Moe Kyo News Agency’s question, Union Minister U Tin Tun Naing said “They are non-military members of the State Administrative Council. But it does not matter whether they are member of the military or not. According to Counter Terrorism Law, their assets must be nationalized since they are members of the terrorist group.”
The National Unity Government has provided assistance to more than 97,000 refugees
In May, Ministry of Humanitarian Affairs and Disaster Management of the National Unity Government said in a statement that it had provided assistance to 97,529 refugees. Most of the support was given to Sagaing Division, Magway Division and Kayin State.
UN OCHA Myanmar says more than 900,000 people have been displaced in Myanmar as of early May. As of May 2 this year, the number of displaced people in southeast Myanmar due to the conflict and insecurity since February 2021 has risen to 249,500.
