Union Minister U Tin Tun Naing says we are closer to getting back one billion dollars in the United States if we can prove the success of the revolution of the NUG

“If we can prove the success of the revolution, we are closer to getting back one billion dollars in the United States”, said Union Minister U Tin Tun Naing.

At the press conference on May 18, Union Minister Tin Tun Naing briefed on the End of Dictatorship (EOD) and its future processes, and said, “Regarding the one billion, if the NUG gains territorial integrity in the revolution, in other words, it can show the probability to win the revolution and a clear proof of our success, we are closer to getting that money back”, said the Union Minister.

He added that NUG Foreign Affairs Minister Daw Zin Mar Aung discussed about the recovery of the said one billion dollars during her visit to the United States and gained positive responses.

Treasury bonds sell for  US$ 37 million and 14 / Inya Road house last sale up to US$ 5 million

Union Minister U Tin Tun Naing said the sale of treasury bonds has reached for US$ 37 million and the last sale of 14 / Inya Road house has reached up to US$ 5 million.

Union Minister Tin Tun Naing said these words at the press conference on the End of Dictatorship (EOD) and its future processes held on May 18.

“We have sold the treasury bonds for US$ 37 million and 14 / Inya Road house for US$ 5 million up to this evening. And he added “I would like to explain that the total amount of these funds, including the spring lottery and taxes, has been raised by the Ministry of Planning and Finance since the beginning of the revolution, about US$ 42 million.”

The EOD is selling the residence of terrorist leader Min Aung Hlaing in Yangon with US$ 10 million with a share priced at $ 100.

The shares have been sold for US$ 5 million so far and the NUG government will allow selling the shares freely.

The NUG announces it will take action against the civil servants who organized the gem emporium of the SAC for misappropriation of state property

The National Unity Government has announced that it will prosecute the civil servants who organized the gem emporium of the State Administration Council (SAC) for misappropriation of state property.

The NUG has announced on May 18 that those who participated in the gem emporium of the coup terrorists will be taken legal actions.

Moreover, buyers will also be prosecuted for accepting stolen property and twice of the amount paid have to be reimbursed to the state, the statement said.

The Ministry of Natural Resources and Environmental Conservation of the NUG has announced that it recorded private companies and shops that have sold and bought gems, jewelry and pearls lots, and it will take action against them by blacklisting and revoking operation licenses.

The SAC released that the 57th Myanmar Gems Emporium was held in Nay Pyi Taw in the last week of April 2022, and 330 lots of pearls, 54 lots of gems and 1,335 lots of jade were sold.

She posted that “I drew a painting and presented it to Dr. Cynthia Maung, the founder of Mae Tao Clinic, who won the Gwangju Prize for Human Rights for 2022. It is the Mae Taw Clinic logo surrounded sunflowers representing the courageous heart of the doctor, pure hands and hope.”

Dr. Cynthia Maung is the founder Mae Taw Clinic which provides specialized medical care to IDPs and migrant workers.

The NUG government provides 100.38 million kyats in humanitarian assistance in April

The Ministry of Humanitarian Affairs and Disaster Management of the National Unity Government (NUG) reported that it provided 100.38 million kyats in humanitarian assistance in April, 2022.

The Ministry of Humanitarian Affairs and Disaster Management reported it on 18th May that “the Ministry of Humanitarian and Disaster Management of the National Unity Government is working with its partners to reach out to the ground as far as possible to provide assistance to the people who have fled to areas where they thought they will safe because they were displaced by the offensive operations of the terrorist military, the families of those injured and killed in the revolution and vulnerable groups including PWDs who in need assistance and those who are in need of humanitarian assistance for a variety of reasons. “

Moreover, it expressed its thanks to local partners, representatives, volunteers, and donors who provided assistance to the people in needs though there are various hindrances of the terrorist military.
