1. Prime Minister says to focus on difficulties and problems of Public Administration Groups on the ground

 

The Union Prime Minister Mahn Win Khaing Than stated that the focus should be on the difficulties and problems of Public Administration Groups on the ground in order to succeed the Local Public Administration. The Prime Minister said at the Interim Local Public Administration Central Committee’s (9/2023) meeting held in March.

“The success of the Local Public Administration that we are developing depends on how seriously we can solve the difficulties and problems of the public administration groups on the ground. Therefore, the necessary policies must be prepared and reviewed, and effective meetings and negotiations are also required,” the Prime Minister said. Moreover, the Prime Minister urged to start of a program in which officials from each township and ministry officials could meet.

2. People’s Defense Force’s Garuda column held a refresher course training completion ceremony 

In the Southern Military Region, Military Region Sub-Division No. 3, the People’s Defense Force Garuda column refresher course training completion ceremony was held. In the ceremony, refresher trainees from the Garuda column saluted the People’s Defense Army flag and recited the four words of truth. After giving opening remarks by comrade Daewa, the coordinating committee member of Brigade-6 from the NUG Defense Ministry, read the message sent by Defense Minister U Ye Mon and Union Prime Minister Mahn Win Khaing Than.

The local officials in the ERO areas and the officials from the Garuda column addressed the comrades, then awarded them a 1,000,000 Kyats honorarium sent by the Union Prime Minister. Finally, refresher trainees saluted the officials in a procession and left, and the program was successfully concluded.

3. Union Minister Dr. Sa Sa says the Spring Revolution is the last revolution and will end in this generation

Union Minister Dr. Sa Sa said that the spring revolution is the last revolution and will end in this generation. Dr. Sa Sa stated the following in March:

“The Spring Revolution is the last revolution. We don’t need to pass on the burden of this revolution to the next generation. This revolution will end in our generation.”

In addition, the minister reiterated that the revolution’s victory is in the hands of the people of Myanmar, and failure is in the hands of the terrorist dictators.

4.NUG Minister of Justice says those in charge of the law can work to ensure that the public’s rights are not harmed 

U Thein Oo, the National Unity Government’s Justice Minister, said that those in charge of the law can work to ensure that the public’s rights are not harmed before going to court. During a meeting with township law officials on March 4, the minister stated the following:

“Those in charge of the law have the right to work before going to court to ensure that the rights of the people within their area and jurisdiction are not violated. This means that law enforcement officers are on duty 24 hours a day. When legal issues arise, law enforcement officers must advise the public whether or not they are acting in accordance with the law before going to court. Therefore, it is critical to understand the law very well.”

The meeting was attended by Union Minister of Justice U Thein Oo, Joint Permanent Secretary U Myo Aung, Directors General, Deputy Directors General, Advisors, office members, Ministry officials and law officers from 20 townships.

5. Deputy Minister U Maw Tun Aung says the people in every part of the world have already participated in the revolution to the greatest extent possible

Deputy Minister U Maw Tun Aung said that the people in every part of the world have already participated in the revolution to the greatest extent possible. The deputy minister stated the following in March:

“People in every part of the world have already participated in the revolution to the greatest extent possible. There is no more or less. All participation is beneficial, whether it is information, money, or labor. There is nothing minor. It is crucial to act in good faith.” 

Currently, the National Unity Government has set 2023 as the decisive year for the end of the Spring Revolution.

6. CRPH’s Education Committee meets with the Committee Representing Mandalay Region Hluttaw and Naypyidaw Council’s Township Education Boards 

The CRPH’s Education Committee held a meeting with the Committee Representing Mandalay Region Hluttaw and township education boards in Naypyidaw Council. On March 4, the CRPH’s Education Committee discussed the education sector through a video conference.

The Chairman of the Education Committee and members of the Committee Representing Mandalay Region Hluttaw introduced each other at the meeting. Then, the Secretary of the Education Committee explained the meeting’s purpose and the committee’s structure, objective, and processes. After that, the discussion is carried out about the educational conditions of CDM students who oppose attending junta schools, the psychological conditions of students and their parents, the security conditions, and the conditions of teachers who have been arrested and threatened. 

Moreover, the meeting also discussed the status of the Education Committee’s cooperation in establishing the Federal School. Finally, Education Committee’s members responded to the questions and clarified the conditions that can be connected with the arrangements for CDM teachers and students.

8. 45 Myanmar junta forces killed during 35 clashes in Karenni State in February

In February, 45 junta forces were killed in 35 clashes in Karenni State. On March 5, the KNDF reported the summary of military information in February as follows:

“In February, there were 35 clashes in Karenni State, with 45 military council soldiers killed and 16 injured. The Karenni joint forces seized 34 weapons and ammunition during these battles.”

Two KNDF soldiers were martyred in the battle while fighting against the terrorist junta forces. Terrorist junta troops fired heavy weapons targeting at civilians in Demoso, Hpruso, Loikaw and Phekon townships in February. They conducted six airstrikes on refugee camps, villages, and religious sites without distinguishing whether it is military or civilian targets.

9. About 15 people from Indaw city were arrested on accusations of being associated with the PDFs

Approximately 15 civilians from the Sagaing region’s Indaw city were arrested on accusations of being associated with the PDFs. On March 4, the Indaw Revolutionary Force confirmed as follows:

“On March 3, about 15 people were arrested in Indaw city who were said to be affiliated with the PDFs. CDM teachers are among those detained.”

Currently, all people in the city have been warned to be extra cautious and stay away if they are related to those detained.

10. Myanmar junta troops burned down the Myauknone village in Yinmabin township

The terrorist junta troops burned down the entire Myauknone village in Yinmabin township. On March 4, the Myauk Yamar People’s Defense Forces (Yinmabin) reported as follows:

“In the early evening of March 3, terrorist junta troops burned down the entire Myauknone village in Yinmabin township, Sagaing region.”

As of January 31, 2023, the military and its affiliated groups had burned down approximately 55,484 civilian homes across the country. According to Data for Myanmar, 43,292 houses in Sagaing Region, 8,863 in Magway Region, 1,484 in Chin State, and 1,845 in other states and regions were destroyed due to arson attacks.
