Union Prime Minister Mahn Win Khaing Than said that the first priority of the National Unity Government is to root out the terrorist military council. The Prime Minister said at a meeting held on November 8 regarding the connected activities between the National Unity Consultative Council (NUCC) and the National Unity Government Coordinating Committee (NUG/JCC).

“Due to the background history of our country, it is true that it is difficult to build trust between groups. However, I honestly believe that rooting out the terrorist military council is the first priority above all other issues. I firmly believe that one day when there will be no more inhuman power-mad terrorists, we will all be able to establish a great new federal democratic state,” said the Prime Minister. In September 2021, the National Unity Government announced the start of the People’s Resistance War. Currently, military operations have been accelerating, and the NUG is also implementing a one-year strategic plan.

On the night of November 8, the European Union announced that they imposed sanctions on 19 individuals and one organization. “The council approved the fifth round of punitive sanctions in response to a rise in violence and continued serious human rights violations following a military coup two years ago,” it described. The new list involves 19 individuals and one organization that has been sanctioned, including U Kan Zaw, Minister of Investment and Foreign Economic Relations, U Tun Tun Oo, Chief Justice of the Supreme Court, High-ranking officers from the army and air force members of the Union Election Commission and business representatives from private companies that are closely linked and supporting the military.

It is reported that the sanctions are applied to a total of (84) individuals and (11) organizations. Those listed people are subject to asset controls and travel bans, in addition to preventing them from entering or transiting through the territory of the European Union.

7. The NUG representative winter cup football tournament will be held for the first time in South Korea

It is reported that the NUG representative winter cup football tournament will be held for the first time in South Korea. The revolution fundraising winter football tournament will be played on November 13. The football tournament will be jointly organized by the Myanmar football teams and the NUG-KOREA representative office, and they will play on the football field located in Huimang park, Siheung city.  As prizes, there will be awarded to the first prize of a trophy worth 10,000 won and a gold plaque, and the second prize of a trophy worth 5,000 won and a silver plaque.

On November 8, the Anonymous Special Task Force (Pauk) confirmed the war news. On the full moon day of Tazaungmone, the military council troops and Pyu Saw Htee stationed in Kokekosu village, Pauk Township, were attacked with rocket shock missiles by the Anonymous Special Task Force (Pauk) and the village allied guest protection forces. It is reported that the military council troops and Pyu Saw Htee may injure in the battle, and the casualties and the places where they stationed are still under investigation.
